What a start for my team!! Partizan finally won their first game in euroleague we just destroyed Milano at home. Our defence was on another level. We are really looking different from previous seasons, not many superstars but a team that plays togheter. First game of the season and currently everything looks promising for us. Hopefully we continue like this.

We lost our first EuroLeague game in 13 years, 94–96. In the final quarter, we managed to take the lead after trailing 69–81; Morgan played a major role in this comeback. We were particularly effective with our three-point shooting in the last quarter. I thought we were going to win the game, but it wasn't to be. Both teams struggled to score during the final four minutes. Shorts played very well and put up impressive numbers. We took the final shot with Jaylen Nowell; had that three-pointer gone in, we would have walked off the court with a 97–96 victory today. Valencia is a far cry from last year's squad, yet their fast breaks are highly effective. We are disappointed with the result of this opening game.
Yes Valencia have lost some of its power but still they were not bad. Tj Shorts is a great addition and he can find his open space here. Valencia suits him. I also watched the game and if the buzzer beater shot was successful, it would be amazing and very surprising for euroleague fans. Beşiktaş might finish the league at a better place than most people anticipated. Efes was a huge disappointment. Mike James, Malcolm and Bruno Fernando were actually much better than I expected. But this lose is Laso's fault in my opinion. He didn't play Malcolm in the crucial moments, he obviously forgot. He did these kind of mistakes last year too. It is not a coincidence, he obviously bad at this stuff. I think he might be sacked in the middle of the season.

Starting the Euroleague with a win made me happy. I would also like to note that we had a difficult match against Virtus Bologna. Towards the end of the fourth quarter, we took the lead and won the game 78-68.
Tucker once again showed how high-quality a player he is with the points he scored in critical moments. I liked the team. There is a good staff at Virtus. I can say that there is a team that will cause difficulties to many teams in the Euroleague. I watched Beşiktaş with sadness. As Turkish teams, we had 1 win and 2 losses this week. The Spanish teams beat us. The superiority of Barcelona and Valencia in three-point shots had a big impact on their victory.

The Spanish teams beat us. The superiority of Barcelona and Valencia in three-point shots had a big impact on their victory.
In our game, Valencia pulled ahead thanks to their three-point shooting, but we responded well—particularly through Connor Morgan. We managed to get back into contention in the final quarter by hitting some three-pointers of our own. As for the Barcelona vs. Anadolu Efes matchup, the deciding factor was Barcelona's strong performance from beyond the arc; while Anadolu Efes made four three-pointers, Barcelona sank twelve. Anadolu Efes played very well but couldn't stop those three-point shots. I didn't watch the Fenerbahçe game, but I did check the stats. It appears they also shot with a very low three-point percentage in that match. This resulted in a low-scoring game. By the end of the opening weeks, Fenerbahçe was the only team from our country to secure a win.

I thought Fenerbahçe would lose to Virtus Bologna, but that didn’t happen. When Fenerbahçe tightened up its defense in the second half of the third quarter, it forced its opponent into mistakes and went on a run. Defense has generally been this team’s hallmark. They managed to do this in just half a quarter and saw immediate results.
Fenerbahçe’s offense depends on the strength it draws from its defense. No matter who they sign, this identity doesn’t change we mustn’t forget that. If Fenerbahçe can reach a level of form where they can maintain that defensive focus throughout the entire game, they’ll easily defeat most opponents. If they achieve that level of form, they’ll be the favorites in every game.

I watched the Fenerbahçe vs. Bayern Munich game. Fenerbahçe played so effectively yesterday that they would have won by a wide margin even if their opponent had been Olympiacos. Sertaç started the game by hitting consecutive three-pointers. Then, the star of the night, Tucker, took center stage; he delivered a highly impressive performance. Fenerbahçe players compete with a completely different level of motivation in the EuroLeague. Fenerbahçe did everything necessary to win the match. This game demonstrated once again that the more successful a team is with three-point shots, the easier it is for them to secure a victory. For Bayern Munich, Washington was the standout player yesterday; his three-point shooting, especially in the final quarter, was excellent. Washington finished the game as the top scorer.

I strongly agree with the point you made, if you look at the basketball game very well you will realise how important it’s to have very good three pointers in your offensive side. No matter how strong your defensive can be, if you do not have those perfect three point shooters, you will always find it difficult to get to win matches. I also think the most crucial quarter for a basketball game is the 3rd quarter. Once a team is already winning by a decent margin at the quarter, it will only take a miracle or some kind of grace for the opponent to catch. Though we have seen scenarios where the 4th quarter becomes a decider of the match winner probably leading to overtime.

Fenerbahçe are definitely a better team this year than they were last year. They’re a more complete side and have a greater number of good players. Bayern played very well last week, but in this match Fenerbahçe didn’t let them play to their full potential. If Bingham plays like he did in this match, it means Fenerbahçe have found a top-class centre. In this match, he looked like a complete centre: dominant in attack, effective in defence, capable of holding his own against smaller players, and able to shoot. On the other hand Efes also had a great game. They stopped Real Madrid and also performed very good offensively. Real were considerably worse than they had been in the Super Cup and in last week’s match in Dubai. But there’s a surprise here. I think Efes managed to stop them with their good defence and fans. Real made an unusually high number of turnovers. There are a lot of good teams this year. I’m really curious to see where these two teams will end up in the table at the end of the season.

Fenerbahçe delivered a very impressive team performance yesterday. A key factor in this 24-point victory was our accuracy from three-point range. We also recorded seven steals during the game; this indicates that Bayern Munich lost their concentration as the gap widened. With this result, Bayern suffered their first defeat of the season. Fenerbahçe has started the EuroLeague season with two wins out of two games.
Anadolu Efes also defeated Real Madrid 94-84 on their home court. One of the notable moments of the match was seeing their former coach, Ergin Ataman, watching the game from the stands. Although there have been rumors that Ergin Ataman might take over the coaching role should Laso fail, Laso has built a very strong team this season. In my opinion, Anadolu Efes will secure a spot in the top eight.

Didnt expect such a heavy win from Fenerbahce against Bayern Munich and Fenerbahce again looking like a big team for the final four this season. My team Partizan also won heavily against Paris in an away game and finally we are looking really good. Hopefully we defeat on friday Bayern Munich like Fenerbahce did yesterday, would be great for us to start with 3-0

I always read your posts on the EuroLeague and European basketball in general with great interest; it’s not a sport I follow closely, but I do often watch a game or two. I’d like to ask those of you who know more about it: what ever became of that project to set up a sort of NBA in Europe, run directly by the American NBA and the European FIBA? I thought it was an interesting project because it would have involved American teams in Europe as well.

Saras should be happy about yesterday's game, but Bayern probably isn't an indicator what Fenerbahche capable to do. I expectto see Bayern in bottom part of table. Best game yesterday was between Zalgiris and Olympiacos where Euroleague champions won in last seconds drama. But I never thought that I will see Shaq watching Euroleague game in Kaunas . Efes win against Real is statement that they're back. We have talks about it for several years already, but so far there is more talks than real stuff. NBA Europe have to start next season, but I'm sceptical about it and I don't believe they can turn into bigger thing than Euroleague.

Finally Beşiktaş got the first Euroleague win. Valencia game had a dramatic finish, but this time Beşiktaş stayed focused and defeated Maccabi Tel-Aviv by a wide margin. They opened up the lead especially in the first quarter and made the last move in the third quarter. They didn't allow Maccabi many fast-break points. The combination of strong defense and solid offense led to the victory.
Anthony Brown played amazing. He made almost every shot he took. We can say that Wilbekin and Furkan are officially back in business! The performance we've been expecting from them has finally arrived. As a team, we went 17/28 from the 3. It's hard to lose when you shoot like that. I hope we see more wins like that in Euroleague.

Fenerbahçe played an amazing game. In my opinion, this was the first game where Fenerbahçe looked like a complete team. If Bingham maintains his form from this game, the team may have finally found the tall player it’s been searching for years. He looked like a well rounded center against Bayern dominant on offense and effective on defense.
Meanwhile, despite this being Sargiunas’s first EuroLeague season, he’s been very confident for the past two games, which I think is a good sign. I also liked his drives to the basket and his tenacity on defense. He showed that he holds great promise for next season. Wade, Tucker, Melli, and Shields were on fire and in top form in this game. Thanks to them, Fenerbahçe took control of the game right from the first quarter. Saras utilized his entire rotation without keeping anyone on the court longer than necessary and managed the roster very efficiently.

It looks like Beşiktaş's EuroLeague games will be high-scoring affairs. In yesterday's away game (played on neutral ground), Beşiktaş defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv 109–93. Beşiktaş shot three-pointers with high accuracy in this match as well; Anthony Brown and Wilbekin were particularly effective. With this victory, Beşiktaş secured their first win of the season in an official match. Tomorrow, they will host Barcelona in Istanbul. I hope Beşiktaş wins that game too, thereby completing the EuroLeague double-game week with two victories.

We played highly effective basketball. We were particularly potent from beyond the arc in the first half, taking the lead thanks to three-pointers from Connor Morgan and Dotson. Maccabi scored well through Sorkin in the first period. Just as in the second half of the Valencia game, our success with three-point shooting played a major role in securing the win here. Omoruyi, who failed to score at all against Efes, put up 11 points in this match.
In a competition like the EuroLeague, games involving Israeli teams are played in front of very few spectators. This is hardly a good look for the EuroLeague. I hope they find a solution to this situation next season. In my opinion, Israeli teams should not participate in the EuroLeague until the war ends.

Beşiktaş achieved its highest-scoring EuroLeague victory in the last 13 years. They secured this win in regulation time.
They scored 109 points against Maccabi Tel Aviv; their high-percentage three-point shooting played a key role in this score.
Beşiktaş has a match against Barcelona tomorrow, and I am curious to see how they will perform from three-point range in that game. I hope Beşiktaş wins this match as well.

This was their first win after 13 years in the euroleague so its normal its their highest winning match but still to score 109 points is crazy. Besiktas looks good now and i think they can win against Barcelona and grow from this win against Maccabi. Barcelona aint that good this season so Besiktas should take advantage and win that match.

Real Madrid, having started the season with a EuroLeague Super Cup victory, now holds a 0-3 record in the EuroLeague season following today's loss to Hapoel. I do not recall a previous season where Real Madrid got off to such a poor start in the EuroLeague. Unable to get sufficient scoring output from Campazzo today, the team saw Hapoel emerge victorious with a score of 102-98. Vasa and Elijah delivered highly effective performances for Hapoel; notably, Bryant also put in a tremendous defensive effort, grabbing 13 rebounds.

Last season there were also many games where Beşiktaş scored over 100 points. They generally put up high scores when they're shooting 3's good. They shot incredible in the Maccabi game. It doesn't happen in every game, but when their 3 pt. FG percentage is around %40, this team really becomes unstoppable. Barcelona game will be a huge challenge. Even if Barcelona is in poor form, they have a very strong roster and a good coach. Besides I don't think they're in poor form. If Beşiktaş win this game, it would be incredible, but let's not set our expectations too high. It'll be enough if we see a good competition, a win would be a bonus.
