This was their first win after 13 years in the euroleague so its normal its their highest winning match but still to score 109 points is crazy. Besiktas looks good now and i think they can win against Barcelona and grow from this win against Maccabi. Barcelona aint that good this season so Besiktas should take advantage and win that match.

Last season there were also many games where Beşiktaş scored over 100 points. They generally put up high scores when they're shooting 3's good. They shot incredible in the Maccabi game. It doesn't happen in every game, but when their 3 pt. FG percentage is around %40, this team really becomes unstoppable.
Barcelona game will be a huge challenge. Even if Barcelona is in poor form, they have a very strong roster and a good coach. Besides I don't think they're in poor form. If Beşiktaş win this game, it would be incredible, but let's not set our expectations too high. It'll be enough if we see a good competition, a win would be a bonus.

Im not talking about last season but they were good in the eurocup but still this isnt the eurocup and its much harder to score in euroleague the defence is much better. Still against Maccabi they were shooting pretty well and if they do similar against Barcelona they will win the match. I dont like Barcelonas roster and i think this match will be pretty even.

Quite an upset night in the Euroleague huh, who would have thought. 4 home teams, 4 home wins, 3 of them by underdogs. Obviously the HUGE upset by Virtus against Olympiakos stands out, didn't see that happen! First Olympiakos takes the lead with 6 seconds to go and then Marcus Carr with the buzzer 3 to win the game, that's crazy!
Paris also surprised me, I imagined Zalgiris would win this one easy since Paris still hasn't found it's rhythm yet, but in the end they got their first win of the season while Zalgiris, despite a strong roster, only stands at 1:2 now after 3 games.

Despite being a small underdog I thought Efes would have a solid chance at Red star, but in the end they have been the only dog that didn't win.  Grin

It looks like Anadolu Efes will struggle on the road this season. Both teams shot very poorly from three-point range yesterday; Anadolu Efes attempted 26 three-pointers but made only six.
While Crvena Zvezda secured their first win, Anadolu Efes suffered their second defeat.

For me, the result of the Virtus vs. Olympiacos game was a bigger surprise. I didn't watch the match, but as you mentioned, Virtus won thanks to a last-second three-pointer. Things like that happen in basketball.

It is also interesting that Real Madrid has yet to record a win, though all three of their losses came in away games. This suggests that Real Madrid, much like Anadolu Efes, will face difficulties playing on the road.

Anadolu Efes lost both the match and Mike James. Mike's injury appears serious; while there has been no official statement yet, early reports suggest he has torn his Achilles tendon.
If this news is accurate, we can say Mike's season is over.
It is a terrible injury for both Mike and Anadolu Efes. It reminds me of Haliburton, who missed the entire season last year. Best wishes to Mike James and Anadolu Efes for a speedy recovery.

Watched the match and he injured himself while trying to go for the ball and he already knew what happened. This is the most serious injury in sports so if it hallens to be Achilles tendon he will miss the entire season and probobly the start of next season and this is really terrible and i feel sorry for him.

Anadolu Efes will need to search for a replacement or their season might be in serious problems, they were counting on him to carry them and now he wont be able to do that.

I feel like someone has died. Just when Efes started to look good and Mike James was focused, this horrible thing happened and he is gone. Just two days ago he wrote this:

In July and August he was with the USA National Team playing World Cup qualifiers and I saw that he played 30 min average(I am not sure). They say he didn't get enough rest. Unfortunately we saw this injury too often now in Nba and in euroleague also. I saw something interesting. Vincent Poirier who left Efes last summer tweeted this and he said 'Put me in a podcast Cheesy':

I wonder what he meant. Things are looking bad yet again for Efes. They will have to get someone from Nba I guess. I will surprised if they can make it playoffs.

According to the announcement, he will be sidelined for 7 to 9 weeks. This effectively ends Mike's season. He had come to Anadolu Efes aiming to win his first EuroLeague title this year, but his season has now come to a premature end.
Anadolu Efes will certainly need to make a signing to fill the void left by Mike.
At the moment, there is no player on the Anadolu Efes roster capable of filling Mike's position.
Anadolu Efes fans are more upset about this injury than the loss itself.
Get well soon, Mike James. I hope you return to the court even stronger.

Partizan are heading towards their third win of the new season. Zvezda fans say that Partizan have an easy schedule and that they can therefore pick up these "easy" points. I don't think that's the case. They have started the season well, certainly better than Zvezda, who recorded a win against Efes yesterday after two defeats.

We won are third game and im so damn happy. I think im gonna drink a lot because of this win we got 3-0 since 91’ last time and we are playing really good. We have next two rough games but if we play like this we can expect a lot. I think no one expected Partizan would be 3-0 at start of the euroleague season.

It was so sad to see what happened for James, it's one of worst injuries that you can get. And considering his age, I hope it's not career ending injry.

Even if they have easier schedule in first few rounds, in wider picture of 38 rounds it doesn't means anything. And today's win against Bayern was really tough, it was decided only in last seconds.
Fenerbahche got difficult win vs Dubai. Maybe 10 points difference sounds like safe result, but these who watched the game saw how close it actually was.

No one expected it Cheesy But anyway, congratulations on the third win, well deserved. Even though we are fierce rivals, sometimes you have to congratulate each other. All i have left to say is that i can't wait for the derby. That's where we'll see who is in better form and who will go further in the euro league.

As Beşiktaş, we lost to Barcelona yesterday, marking our second defeat in the EuroLeague.

Partizan keeps winning; though the fact that they haven't faced a tough opponent yet plays a major role in that. Their next three games are against EuroLeague title contenders.
The first match is against Real Madrid, and Real hasn't secured a win yet either.
I have a feeling that match will be the one where you suffer your first defeat.

Following Mike James's injury, Anadolu Efes filled the guard position with Cameron Payne. Payne, who played for Partizan last season, signed a contract with Anadolu Efes running through the end of the season.
Although this signing was made to replace Mike James, I notice that Payne's statistics lag significantly behind Mike's. I hope he reaches the peak of his career with Anadolu Efes.

This is the first time I’ve seen Partizan start a season this well, but you have three critical matches ahead of you. After that, you’ll be playing the derby. I don’t know if you can come out on top in those three games.
Playing Panathinaikos at home is an advantage; they have a very strong squad, but they aren't invincible.
You’ll be playing against us in Türkiye, and I’m not sure if you can win that one either.
If I get the chance, I plan to watch your match against Pana. It should be a great game.
