Following Mike James's injury, Anadolu Efes filled the guard position with Cameron Payne. Payne, who played for Partizan last season, signed a contract with Anadolu Efes running through the end of the season. Although this signing was made to replace Mike James, I notice that Payne's statistics lag significantly behind Mike's. I hope he reaches the peak of his career with Anadolu Efes. This is a really good replacement and i think they couldnt have done better honestly. Cam Payne played for my team last season and he was really good and i think he is used to euroleague now so he can help efes a lot this season. Mike James wont play this season and its a shame that they wont have him I, too, view such signings with skepticism. If he played well for Partizan last season, why didn't they sign him to a new contract this year? Did he demand too much money? It appears Anadolu Efes signed him from the NBA, yet he played for Partizan last season. He didn't really catch my eye before, but I’ll be keeping an eye on him this year. From what I gather here, Cameron Payne will be the signing best suited to fill the void left by Mike James. He was doing good at Partizan, adjusting the league. If I recall correctly he played 10 games and he was doing good. But he got an offer from 76ers and he went to NBA again. The articles said, in the summer several teams were interested in him and offered him good money but he wasn't interested. I guess he was waiting for a NBA offer. And I guess he was waiting until then but maybe offers didn't come. And he chose Efes, probably with a good salary. So, if there was no NBA interest for him last year, he would probably be a solid euroleague player already. It is a great transfer for Efes. At this stage of the season, he is probably the best they could find. They already have a fast point guard, Fatts Russell. They might play run&gun style of basketball, which I personally like. Kai Jones will be especially good and Strazel, Loyd and Bruno Fernando can adjust to this too.

He came to Partizan after Carlik Jones got injured and he was pretty okay in that period after 2-3 months he got an offer from the NBA and just went there,i think he had an option to leave he got and offer from the NBA. In this preseason we just didnt want to get him back because Carlik Jones recovered and we got two more players that are solid for that position,so i think that there wasnt much room for him in the team.

Galatasaray lost 96-76 to Cibona Zagreb in the Basketball Champions League. Galatasaray managed to put up a fight in the first quarter, but Cibona established clear dominance in the subsequent periods. From my observations during the game, it seems there is a rift between the Galatasaray players and Coach Pozzecco. I noticed this issue during the match yesterday. Galatasaray and Pozzecco might part ways in the near future. Khalif Battle was the game's top scorer with 32 points.

For me, the top favorite in the EuroCup this year is Bahçeşehir Koleji. Their roster quality is well above the EuroCup standard. Today, they defeated the Bulgarian team Botevgrad by a 41-point margin, winning 101–60 on the road. It must be acknowledged, however, that Botevgrad is a very weak team; they scored a total of only 5 points in the second quarter. This serves as proof of just how poor they are. Bahçeşehir Koleji's main rivals will be PAOK, Aris, and Hapoel Jerusalem. One of these four teams will emerge as the EuroCup champion. I maintain that Bahçeşehir is my favorite.

I don't agree that they're main favorite to win whole Eurocup. Yes, they have good squad and strong coach, but I would say that PAOK is the main favorite. They have very strong squad, but I'm sceptical about their coach Trinchieri, he haven't won almost anything in whole career. Aris looks good on paper, but IMO, Spanoulis is overrated coach. Also, we shouldn't exclude possible cinderella story like Bourg did last season.

Never expected Cibona to beat Galatasaray let alone win by 20 points and that is insane. Happy to see Cibona getting back because they are a big team and they are finally getting out of their financial crisis. On the other hand Asvel beated Paris in the euroleague in an away game in a crazy ending. Paris leaded the entire match but Asvel was able to win the game in the end.

Happy to see Cibona getting back because they are a big team and they are finally getting out of their financial crisis. Cibona was a legendary team in the 90s. I didn't follow basketball closely back then, but whenever I saw them on the news playing against teams from our country, they usually defeated ours. Seeing them beat Galatasaray now brought those days back to mind. Cibona Zagreb, which began facing financial difficulties in the 2000s, seems to be slowly returning to its former glory. As a basketball fan, I would love to see Cibona in the EuroLeague.

One of the toughest and most exciting games of the day will be played in Athens. At home, Panathinaikos plays much more aggressively, fueled by the pressure of its fans. The team steps up its defensive intensity and forces its opponent into long offensive possessions. Fenerbahçe, on the other hand, has the experience to stay in the game on this road trip, but the atmosphere in Athens is always an extra challenge. I expect this game to be more controlled, physical, and defense oriented rather than a high scoring affair. For Fenerbahçe to win, they’ll need to improve their three point shooting percentage and keep turnovers to a minimum.

Fenerbahçe won the match played in Athens last year, though a minor incident that occurred after the game is what is mostly remembered. Both teams are currently undefeated, and one of them will suffer a loss today. Panathinaikos will likely win the match. As you said, three-point shots are crucial. In this game, Nigel Hayes will be facing Fenerbahçe after a long time. If Bingham, Tucker, and Key are on their game, Fenerbahçe could win the match. Since there is no football match today, many people will be watching this game.

Big upset for Fenerbahçe, but one of them had to lose so it was away team this time. PAO dominated the game starting from second quarter. Especially their bench produced good scoring, way better than their starting 5. Hayes, Lessort and Francisco scored 56 points combined. Turnovers were a big factor, Fenerbahçe lost mainly because of that. THT wasn't on his day, that happens. Last quarter was a disaster for Fenerbahçe. The league is long and they may slip out of some games like that. It shouldn't be a problem in the long run. I'm patiently waiting on Baskonia game tomorrow. I think that will be a great test for Beşiktaş. They can show how serious they are in this Euroleague campaign.

PAO looks really good and this is their biggest start ever 4-0 in a long time and they are currently looking like the main favorites to win it all. They just dominated the entire match and Fenerbahce wasnt even close to winning this match. On the other hand Real Madrid got a first win against my Partizan and it caused my team to get the first defeat of the season.

They attempted 30 three-pointers during the game, but only nine of them found the mark. Panathinaikos didn't shoot particularly well from deep either, but they didn't attempt as many threes as Fenerbahçe. Pana is playing very well as a team right now. It looks like Nigel is poised for a resurgence under Obradovic. In my opinion, the biggest issue for Pana will be what happens when Nunn returns to the squad. He is a great player, but he could disrupt the team's balance. We are playing against Baskonia today as well. I hope our three-pointers land and we win the match. However, I don't feel very optimistic. For some reason, our team strikes me as very weak.

It was a tough loss for us. Panathinaikos isn't necessarily superior to us in terms of squad quality, but it looks like Francisco is going to be very impactful for them this season. Nigel was really effective yesterday, too; he played as if he had really missed Fenerbahçe. 😀 I liked Juzang's performance on our side; he was our most productive player relative to the time he spent on the court. The loss to Panathinaikos isn't a huge deal—it’s a perfectly normal result, given that they are one of the top contenders for the championship in this league. The Panathinaikos crowd is also very impactful. That arena, along with the Crvena Zvezda arena, always impresses me. The atmosphere in those arenas is incredible. Unfortunately, we don't have that kind of driving force in our own arenas.
