People invested in shitcoin because it is cheaper than Bitcoin. They can buy tons of it and wait until the price pumps but mostly they just wait until it dies and they were also convinced by those so-called crypto influencers that it would make them rich. I wouldn't be saying to not invest in altcoins because of just what happened to you as all of us are built differently and others may knowledgeable than you. I am not an avid fan of altcoins as I only hold Bitcoin but I prefer to say invest in altcoins cautiously rather than saying do not.

When i was new I only tend to invest in low marketcap altcoin which moves around 10% daily,
at first I made 10%-15% profit daily with my low investment then the bear market started and now those altcoin are 80%-90% in red,
Now I am regretting Instead I invested in bitcoin Then it was safe to recover my loses, because who knows the altcoin will become another shitcoin and go to decimal values.

At the early days of the rise of the crypto world the difference between meme coins and bitcoin wasn't as large as it is today. In my opinion it's wrong to disregard all other coins and only focus on bitcoin. The problem with bitcoin is that the market became quite large and mature, there are a lot of different investors and price changes are not going to be the same as they were in the early days. Expecting the bitcoin price to jump 100% in a few months is not realistic and if we are looking for such kind of returns then we need to consider other crypto protects. The big profits happen in the early stages of a new project before it's known all around the world. What has worked best for me was to put at least 80% of my money into Bitcoin and only use a small part to invest in more risky projects like meme coins. The high return possibilities of those coins also means that one successful investment is going to offset several bad investments.

To be honest my largest profits were done in Doge then BTC then ETH lastly LTC.

But I mine which is not the same as trading coins.

 Although if you bought and held Doge or BTC long enough you made some good money.

Cryptocurrency is a legitimate source of generating income, though I don't depend on this source because one can face liquidation in the market. Investing in shitcoins is highly tabled risky because these projects are volatile and are not prominent in the space compared to Bitcoin that is generally recognized and a promising road map in the space, those investors that anticipated in bitcoin are smiling currently because they have bagged 30x of the initial capital invested, the exact same thing apply to those investors that invested in shitcoins.

In my opinion plenty of coins have a solid reason to exist. Of course there are plenty of money making bs coins but some actually have a purpose.
Also many of the coins offer very fast transaction times, compared to bitcoin ( not lightning) that's a big plus if it has to go fast.

Another thing in investing in new altcoin, it's low risk high reward. You can make quite some cash for just investing 50$. If you lose it, well bad luck, but if it goes through the roof you can fine a nice 50-100x and more.
With bitcoin now you can only play the long term waiting game. It might take some time to even go up 100% from the current price.
Of course this is all speculation, we never know what happens. For whatever reason it can go to 50k next week for what I know. We can only wait and see.

Indeed. There should be some people who can be millionaires by investing on shitcoins. But I assume there are more people who lost their money in shitcoins. Shitcoins are untrusted coins, it has no proven fundamentals. IMO, when we choose shitcoins, it is more like a gambling than an investment. So, put our money there seem like to gamble with crypto coins. I don't think it is the right decision to choose shitcoins if our intention is to have an investment in crypto. We are better to choose top coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum that have been proven as trusted coins.

I agree with your argument. It's not just beginners who are often confused here. Even old players are often tempted by shitcoin promotions that Bitcoin doesn't promise. with the hope of large quantities of shitcoins at cheap and promising prices. I am very sure of the phenomenon of massive coin distribution in shitcoin which promises to be a source of cheap investment that will be profitable. Who doesn't want it when it comes to profits?
