I think I understand the disconnect here.

You are an artist; you take pride in your work and your value is in the art itself.  This community (even outside this forum) is primarily here to earn profit with crypto.   They do not value the art..  They only care if they can resell for a profit.

You could make your project more appealing by putting each book on a blockchain, or putting some coin behind a hologram at the back.

Well, just my idea why don't you publish this book on different social media platforms and get a payment for this to be downloaded? Maybe you can have a website of your own where you may sell this book.
Yes, it's good that you are giving this book free of cost to everyone on bitcointalk but there is no harm if you charge for it outside this forum.

Currently consolidating Bitcoin history from 2008 to 2019 by reading print-outs. If I have missed any important information, it is ample opportunity to find out.

Once the above is done, 2020 to 2023 is next.

I won't be showing book interiors from now on. The book will hopefully be on sale in September 2024.

I will release the Bitcoin History book chapters 2008 to 2016 (pages 50 to 177) at around 23:00 UTC tonight.  The only pages incompleted are the chapter summary pages, which will be written when all other pages are done.

I hope the community will show generosity, because I have chosen to freely release 128 pages. I've spent countless hours putting it together, and know how special Bitcoin history is.

I'd like to see you get some reward for your efforts though - have you thought about selling each page for maybe $1 and then rewarding a full book with $1.50 a page?   You control it by making a limited number of certain  pages, and you can make $ by giving yourself a % of each automated trade.    Of course, you'd have to put the pages on a blockchain.   Combine your talent with your audience's passion.

Thank you for putting in the effort to prepare this book, I can understand and empathise with your frustration of not receiving donations. The difficulty is that people if given the option of having something for free, will not pay for it. I would recommend you consider getting some professional artwork done, and then selling the book to order on Amazon to assist with generating sales. You have obviously put in a tireless amount of effort, so you might be feeling underappreciated, but we live in a world where being a creative does not satisfy you monetarily, only for purpose and passion.
