Investment can bring profit or loss. If you start in a bear market, exit in a bear market, likely your net investment will be loss, not profit. If you start around a bull run, exit in a bull run, I am sure you will get profit. Like your old brothers did and got recently.

Congratulations on your brother for making the right decision at the right time. Surely, Bitcoin can give you a solid ROI but as always there are risks involved...as Bitcoin is very volatile digital asset meaning it can go up and down anytime and even for no reason at all. Bitcoin is known to an investors' haven as there is a big potential to make a considerable profit here...but you must act when it is good to act and always listen to the market and maybe even listen to your gut. Anyway, holding on to BTC with the idea of 2024 being a bull year due to its halving and the possibility of ETF approval can prove to be the best decision to do. Note: this is just my opinion.

Whether the story you tell is true or not, we can conclude that Bitcoin can bring someone to the stage of financial independence. But what you need to underline is that Bitcoin will not bring someone quick riches. The moment your brother took is good because maybe he understands how to invest. Wherever we are risk is something that is normal especially if investment involves the use of money and the risk will definitely be much greater. Taking risks in Bitcoin investment is interesting, but you also have to have a way to stay calm and not panic. Agree with you. Holding is key to make a career and if I can not hold, I can not make a career with Bitcoin.

DCA is another key and if I am working in a signature campaign, I can use my campaign salary for DCA and for my holding.

The amount of BTC I receive this year from my campaign will be a dream for many people in next six to nine years. Like I wish that I would have been here years ago and would have worked in campaigns to get up to 0.5 BTC monthly.

Good for your brother but I do hope that he is not selling at $34k or even if we reach $50k as everyone is looking for a massive bullrun next year, 2024-2025, wherein the prediction will be $100k higher.

So just continue to accumulate, as we are still in the bear market. And again, it's nice to see that your brother was able to buy 1 BTC as this is a dream for the majority of us. But for those who doesn't have that money, what we can do is continue to buy and use what we call DCA method.

The past profits do not guarantee any future profit. So never make a career by holding bitcoin. Work for company or start a business which will give you acess to money. Never rely completely on Bitcoin unless you are trading at a professional level with all tools and financial support.

Career is something else. It cannot be built by holding cryptos. Come out of the daydream and start working so that you don't have to regret later in life.

That's right, your brother made the Bitcoin purchase at the right time. so the purchase makes a profit. but you should probably also know that investing or trading Bitcoin has its own science. You can't just follow your older brother who managed to make a profit, and you try it for your luck.
You should know that the 6-month process that your brother carried out really believed that Bitcoin would increase quite high. maybe for those who don't have patience, it actually looks like a waste of time. BTC is fairly stable at $28k-$30k. it happened for quite a long time. If your brother is impatient with holding his Bitcoin, maybe he won't get that big of a profit in a fairly short time.

It cannot be a career mate but investment , which meaning that you need to trust the system and have nothing to do but wait , career needs skills or action to make it happen things that far different in investing in bitcoin.

It depends on whether the money is idle money, savings or money he needs for emergencies. I find it quite risky to withdraw all the money from the bank to invest in bitcoin even though he is enjoying the reward of his risky decision. If he had more savings than that, the decision to continue holding for the long term would certainly be the right decision with a higher goal. Blockchain developer would probably suit you if you want to make a career out of bitcoin or you can probably do this thing where you ask the management or the payroll of your company that you're working on to pay you in bitcoins, that technically counts as you building a career with bitcoin since you're getting paid with bitcoin. So to answer your question, yes it's possible to build a career in bitcoin.
