I don't see a reason why a sensible and wise person will have an exception when it comes to casinos, irrespective of where you are and gambling it, try to have a plan and follow your plan. This entails the amount you want to gamble with and divide it in the best possible way that will not affect you and for you to have fun even if you lose the money, fun is part of it, let your money give you that entertainment. If one plans this way, there is no reason why emotion will set in not to talk of the person being addicted. Addiction is actually for the weak, especially those who are weak in their minds and can't control their urge when they realise that money is being wasted. I do not realise this as I believe that it is better to take a break when things are not first working, especially when there are no plans at all.

What I had ever gotten addicted to was the lotto, but the case is not even about playing and playing again at a spot. Wow, you've already list down the possible reasons why a person became addicted in gambling and the reasons that you've mentioned is all true. Gamblers curiosity tends them to continously playing even if they are losing multiple times because they are looking for something especially winning that's why they didn't know their actions towards playing because they are focusing in their goal which is winning the prize. Having a goal of winning is okay as long as you are aware in your actions and you are able to control your decision making.

Curiosity is sometimes the biggest factor in someone becoming an addict, especially for gamblers who are still beginners and don't have much experience in gambling, they tend to always be curious about new things and want them to try.
And everything is also influenced by the mind, if gambler only thinks about gambling every day then they will have difficulty controlling themselves to be able to resist the urge to gamble which always appears all the time.
