In small cities in Nigeria, the average middle class earns an income of roughly $200

Cost of living:
1. House rent (yearly): $400
2. Food (daily/1person) : $10-$15

Right now, the cost of living in Nigeria is very high. The problem is that prices keep going up but salaries remain the same, this has resulted in a huge gap between the rich and the poor. The smart choice will be to move to a smaller and less expensive city.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Hearing about the cost of life and income in Nigeria is fascinating. A monthly salary of roughly $200 in small communities reflects the economic hardships that the middle class faces. The monthly rent of $400 and daily food prices ranging from $10 to $15 show the financial stress that many people face. This look at economic dynamics emphasizes the significance of knowing local variations beyond official data in order to comprehend the true impact on people's lives.

How could a person manage to live a better life there?

I think people will definitely face problems economically and they people there may be without work? What is the situation for the illiteracy there? People who are on works does they have more knowledge or most of them work according to their skills?

As Nigeria is not a big country I assume so it should be a little stable economically but I don't know how they are managing it? As normally I have seen countries which are less in population are mostly economically stable.

The cost of living keep increasing everytime and the case might have been as a result of the current war between Russia and Ukraine and the pandemic that scattered the way we live life. That was the beginning of our problem as human which made many to lose their jobs, businesses and death of relatives. The government is trying her best to make sure that things get better but we just have to keep working and doing businesses that would profit us. We don't really know when this would finally end but it will be beneficial to us if we save and get more jobs that would sustain us.

I live in the Philippines, so you can have a little guess as to how much food and stuff is here compared to the rest of the planet (Spoiler Alert: it's dirt cheap still compared to most countries in the west). You'd get a full course meal in the Philippines, for two people mind you, for as low as 20-30 bucks, and this is on a fancy-shmancy restaurant already. A regular meal here in the Philippines would cost you as high as 10 dollars per day, and that would've been real awesome if not for the fact that the people in here, particularly blue-collar workers, are either paid just enough to get by so they can't leave the deathloop that is their 9-5, or they literally are getting paid peanuts, and with no chance to even get out of this situation they are literally stuck in this circumstance for the rest of their lives. So yeah, it's not rainbows and sunshines.

This case does not only happen in Nigeria but in other countries too, I quote the average cost of renting a normal house is almost 2x higher than the minimum monthly salary of every Asian state, the average economic data of society is getting worse due to inflation and many people have lost their jobs. I think the government should release lots of job vacancies for public services and support micro-enterprise capital to restore the economy, one of which is supporting culinary food mirko businesses for priority foods that can be obtained at low prices.

True, but this choice also has its own obstacles, for example in the item the birth of a social class where there is an image of the local population whose income may be predominantly lower middle class and we also have to look at access to basic services, education, health care if one of our family members experiences health problems and needs immediate treatment.

I can say from my general knowledge that average income of low class family in my country is around 7-8$ per day and average income of rich people is around $1k to $2k. However, the direction of food production sector in my country is good but the price of food products is constantly increasing which has become abnormal for common people to procure. Not issued by my government but I have researched it and found that in my country the rich people are getting richer and the poor people are getting poorer due to the combination of politics.

I think that does not only happen in your country, I think the average large country is also the third state also experienced it even since the same, including in my country, although sometimes in the same country but there are areas that have much food consistency price.

And actually related to what the OP meant was really relative because indeed everyone could have a standard menu that would be a subjective assumption, and returned to their respective abilities in buying their food needs. From the average I noticed that the middle class community is not certain about what products/food they consume every day, so I think it will be ambiguous because it is not specific. IMO

I want to know about the cost of living and average income in each country. Can I ask that here?

For comparison, may I ask how much a standard meal in your country costs for one meal? what is the standard food menu? What is the average monthly and annual income in your country? Please those who answer can use calculations in USD

Note: I don't need the tables issued by the government because they are usually different from the reality on the ground

Here in our country, when there is an increase in the price of goods, it doesn't go up all at once, and if there are other vegetables that increase in price, after a few weeks the price will go down again.

So now, even though it has gone down again, somehow there are still other things that are expensive, like potatoes, tomatoes, and others, but the price of chicken and pork and ease in the market is still the same. Somehow, even gasoline has also gone down a little, even though it is expensive. can still be considered.

The global situation has been unstable in recent times, so it has directly affected every country. Commodity prices have increased manifold but people's incomes have not increased. And because of this inequality, an unstable environment has been created in every country. The situation is the same in all rich or poor countries, but the impact is greater in poor countries, on the other hand, there is no impact in rich countries. Moreover, the price of the product is determined based on the geographical location. The same product has a price difference between a developed country and an underdeveloped country. Even in my own country the prices of all commodities have increased. Governments are taking various measures including raising their salaries in line with the increase in everyone's expenses, but the solution is time-consuming.

Isn't that the case with most of the countries in the world? Except for some of the most developed countries where there is no lack of money, jobs, and resources and the majority of the population is living a good life, besides those countries, the situation is almost the same all around, rich are getting richer because of their control over the businesses and industries and poor are getting poorer because of a lack of good employment opportunities and rising inflation.

When you earn a minimum wage that barely increases but the prices of goods and services keep going up around where you live, you will probably keep getting demoted financially, and there is nothing you can do about that because you are not getting a balance between the costs you have to bear and the salary you are getting.

In small cities in Nigeria, the average middle class earns an income of roughly $200
Cost of living:
1. House rent (yearly): $400
Living cost not too much. It is less than enough. In the city where I live in my country, rent is over $600 a year and in my country's capital it is over $2000. Which is much more than your country. So I think the cost of living in your country is quite comfortable

Quote
2. Food (daily/1person) : $10-$15
My meals here range from $3-$20 per person per day, depending on how high-end one wants to eat. But I think it is a bit more comfortable in my country than yours.

Not only in Nigeria but also here we stay and eat is very high overall. Which is very difficult for a lower and middle class family to manage. And almost the same situation prevails in most of the countries of the world. This is not the only problem of our country

I like your curiosity but what good does it have towards the price of a meal in my country. Like the increase of price of things per month is about 45% if not more than. Certainly, am not trying to exaggerate here, but if i a get a loaf of bread a thousand-naira next month it could be about a thousand and three hundred naira. The cause of the problem does not only go to the government and their implementations. It implies the individual manufacturing industries and local sellers (either retailers or wholesaler). Once they get the information that the price of manufacturing has increased boom, they add their selling price even to old goods. I'll say it is selfishness and greed that has led to less human sympathy and the anxiety to gain double from the consumers.

House rent is very expensive or high in Nigeria; what kind of rent a house is that 400 dollars? Is that a condominium type? or a large townhouse? Here in our country, because of that amount, you can get a rental house. That amount is big and good for renting to own a house.

are there people there in your country don't know how to cook their own dishes? Here among us, other poor people or those who are in ordinary life conditions can survive on 1-2 dollars a day if you are a frugal person.

I can empathize with you in regards to the corruption in agricultural ministry, it's the same thing for my country albeit I can't really say that what we have is much worse since you didn't share any details but in my country, they don't care too much about farmers and a lot of municipalities are trying to create artificial inflation so they can sell their food hoards for a much higher prices and not to mention that the national government doesn't help a lot in terms of subsidies for the farmers so they can afford the necessary stuff for farming like feeds for the cattle, fertilizer for the crops and such and the agricultural department don't want to find a way to make sure that farmers are getting fair price when they sell their services on the market and the consumers end up shouldering the burden of expensive food cost in the country. A decent meal for a day would probably cost you around 10 USD even if it's a home cooked meal.

Exactly, the ministers in Turkiye are deliberately picked from "low profile" candidates (the governing party's own words), so that they are more easily controlled as yes men just following the orders of the president, whose track record is incredibly corrupt as well, the entire country runs on nepotism and tribal instincts for the last 15-20 years...

So they have no clue how to incentivize or organize large scale agricultural production, and farmers often end up selling their crops for dirt cheap,  they face lots of difficulties and bureaucracy in exporting / logistics so they are forced in the end to give it up to middle men and corrupt politicians at ridiculous prices, just to list a few examples...

Sounds like a bunch of excuses to me. The Russia-Ukraine war has little or nothing to do with spike in the cost of living in Nigeria. You can’t take the blame away from bad governance. Covid was a global pandemic, every country was affected by the virus. It’s been over a year since Covid and economies around the world are stabilizing. Ours seems to be getting worse by the day.

The increase in goods occurs due to several factors including climate, and in my country vegetables, chilies and other food ingredients have recently experienced a very drastic increase, especially all types of chilies.
And according to reports, this is caused by bad weather because in the country where I live there is a rainy season which occurs every day. And this has an impact on the prices of vegetables, spices and other staple foods, resulting in crop failures and causing prices to rise due to scarcity, and this also causes other prices to become expensive.
And if all goods are stable and there are still some that are still going up or not going down, maybe it's because the materials or goods are still rare or maybe because of other factors that you have to investigate.

The amount of monthly income is probably almost the same as in my country, Indonesia. But I was quite surprised at the cost of living or daily food costs for one person there (Nigeria). Because $200 salary will not be enough even for 1 month. So I thought about how people there could cover these shortcomings. Here in Indonesia it is possible to eat quite well 3 times a day and only spend around $3 USD per day. Or $1USD for 1 serving of complete food (rice, meat, chili sauce and a little vegetables) and 1 glass of free mineral water. Even if we can cook ourselves it can be more economical. I just found out that in Nigeria there is a huge gap between the cost of living and very different salaries. I think this situation could really become serious if it is not resolved immediately. Because continuous inflation could potentially become hyper inflation.
