In fact, both are quite important in success when gambling but it depends on what type of gambling game you are playing, if it's slots and lottery then all you need is luck but if it's card gambling and sports betting then what you need is skill and a little luck, I quite like sports betting and analysis before choosing a team Which one we choose is a must, and usually the team that is superior on paper will be the winner, but when I play slots I just rely on luck and punctuality.

The skill involved in gambling is more in the knowhow of how casinos work itself, how the house edge works, and maybe a bit of bluffing when it comes to card gamers like poker/black jack. Other than that, they're mostly skill really. This is why you can see how some people just have absolute luck with themselves but no skill still making money off of gambling since no matter what, the majority of what gambling is part of is mostly luck, not skill. I think gambling is more about luck. Because there are many people who spend their money to get a big win but they never get it, and not just one person I see like this. Even though they have lost a lot of money but they don't get the victory, they have seen that what they are fighting against is the bookie's machine that has been set up in such a way as to produce for the bookie. I'm just saying that if they bet with a large value it will make their money run out quickly and vice versa, suppose they bet with a small value but if they are lucky they might win big, but even if they bet with a high value if they are not lucky it will run out in the end.

And many do not realize gambling is made to make money for the bookie, not to give money to the players. Even though there will be winnings they get it's just a lure for the bookie to make the players more interested in gambling. It depends on the type of gambling, in some parts, it's only luck that matters, and in some, it's skills, knowledge, and experience that make the biggest difference. In gambling games, you don't need skills and no skill, experience or knowledge can make you win. On the other hand, in sports betting, luck doesn't have that big of an influence on the results, it's your knowledge and experience about the sport you are betting on that can make you win a higher number of bets.

Where or which games are you using skills on in gambling? The only place to apply your skills is your risking strategy, how much you can afford to lose, there is no skills to apply anywhere else, not in sports because you aren't the one to play the games yourself on the field, you are going to rely on someone else.

If you are playing live poker then skill is definitely needed. If you are playing a casino game then you are playing against the house so what you need is luck.
Poker on the other hand needs some luck too so yes it's a skill base for bluffing and other methods to deceive your opponent and luck base if you get a good hand or for the flop, the turn, and the river to be on your side.

This question is a technical one which I look to say they are both dependent of each other because one must first be skillful at least to know how to predicts and also draw conclusion from their previous matches before s/he can go into betting. At this point skill plays a crucial roles after that we can talk of luck, luck is the possibility of one to win or lose after doing all analysis s/he needs lucks to win the game otherwise he can just be wasting his funds to play without winning despite being skillful. Let me just say luck is the finisher of it because I have red some story where someone used $0.1 to win about $55k this is skill plus luck at same time so, they are both essential for someone to have in order to become a successful gambler. I'd say it's a bit of both, but it depends on what you're playing, generally the basic principle of gambling is luck.. As a previous user suggested, you'll need some knowledge to play poker or sports betting; you need to know your teams and their performances. Other games, such as dices, slots, roulette (this sits somewhere in the middle as well in terms of tactics), and so on, I'd say it's pure luck, like the majority of them out there. So I don't think there's much to do in terms of skills in gambling unless you're into sport betting, such as football or basketball, and start learning more about the involved teams, or is willing to take up poker, or other card games.

I think I will answer the same as most people that skill clearly has a big chance of supporting success both in gambling and other aspects. If in gambling you have the ability to play cards, for example, this will really support you to continue to improve and hone it as best as possible with the right techniques and teaching. There are even special card learning classes out there with all the techniques provided. I believe that skill will be more useful than relying on luck. Because luck cannot be predicted, while skill when playing, calculating the probability of winning can still be predicted. In this case, the game is not slot based but more like a card game.

Luck is more important in the long term. Because gambling is not a skill which you can learn. There are some strategies which will make you win in the long run but these strategies are often banned by the casinos. (ev betting, arbitrage betting etc) So that means you can't really train yourself to win most of the time. You are either lucky or you are not. If you want to generate a reliable income, gambling should be the last thing you look into. Find your self a job, make investments or build a business. Any of them better than gambling. Gambling is just a fun habit and should stay that way. If you still insist on making money from gambling at least be the house, build a casino. As a player your options are pretty limited.
