I used to focus on long-term plans, having a rough understanding of what I need to save up for and what I want my life to look like. But then a full-scale war hit my country, and suddenly planning became irrelevant, impossible. So now I'm more of a "live in the present" kind of person, which is why if I want something and I can buy it, I usually buy it because I don't have an expectation of long-term stability of my life for the future. But I think these unexpected events can happen to anyone in one way or another. I have been saving my whole life as much as I can and also set aside some funds for small investments, but I did not forget how to live in the present, but I've certainly made sacrifices to obtain all what I have so far. Same here mate. I guess it is normal for people like us who are eager to have a better future to satisfy our present craves which aren't too futuristic. Since 2022 which was the start of the bear season in crypto, I haven't bought something too expensive for myself. I traveled outside the city only twice as well. All of these sacrifices are in the name of saving in order to invest more into bitcoin and some altcoins.

Hopefully, next year starts a major bull run. I am planning to live outside the city for months and chill. But of course, I will continue monitoring the market.

I would live in the present i.e live comfortably any extra fund then is invested for the future, I can't sacrifice my present for imaginary future, I have met people who are taking care of the present inform of investing in the education of their children with the hope that in the future those kids would look after them too, those category of people has no any savings because all their money is channelled to feeding, housing and spending on the children education, this is very common in some pert of Africa and its obvious those children after they grown up and became well educated and got a decent job they tend to reciprocate gesture to their aged parents.

But is it good to be too frugal, only thinking about the future and forgetting about the present? What is the future, is it tomorrow? And if we only think about tomorrow, does that mean we will always worry about it until we die? What is financial freedom? Because human greed has no bottom, once we have it, we want bigger things and if we keep doing that, when will we stop to enjoy life? To me, the future is something that needs to be carefully prepared, but don't neglect the present, we need to balance our lives instead of just thinking one way.

Being frugal lets you save for your future, but I don't think you need to be frugal all the time until you become deprived of your wants and needs. That is living your life the wrong way. Although you're going to maximize your savings in the future, but it will also compromise your current happiness which I think is not healthy anymore. That can be a good thought but on the other hand it can be a double-edged sword if you just want to invest without knowing what you are investing in. But when you make a choice with that then it does seem like you know what you are doing now so I think that is a good thing because you are thinking about the future but don't let this disrupt your economy for now because when deciding to invest in bitcoin then you have to be prepared with some risks so there is no need to rush because you can also do with other strategies such as DCA. Yeah mostly I felt like that when I'm working somewhere. Because my mindset told me you are working right now right here so you must be careful on your actions. And my daily routine turns to work to house. And once I reach my spare time I starts to resting and I have bunch of money. I know whats the cost of this money and I don't want to spend for useless thing and I invest it. Almost 4-5 years past with this mindset and my goal is retiring before getting 35 then I can start to live in the present

For me personally, I don't have a problem with not buying the things I want, as long as the item is still functional I will continue to use it, for example a motorbike, even though my motorbike is around 7 years old, I still use it. I did feel that OP. But lately I learned how to be present with my loved ones. I think Im fortunate because I am employed to a company that respects my personal time. After work hours, I literally dont work anymore and I have extra time for my side hustles. I can also spend time with my family and friends on weekends and holidays. But I know it is not the case for everyone. First of all we have to know who we are, what we really want, and what are our priorities. Balancing saving for the future and enjoying the present can be a challenge. Its about finding the right balance that aligns with your long-term goals while allowing yourself to appreciate life in the present. We will all get there.

Unfortunately, this is the price of a good future. We always have to save some money so that the money supply accumulates. And we always need to think about increasing it, so that later the interest from manipulating this money (trading, interest) will give us money for a Free life. If you live alone, it's easy to save, but if you live with your wife, then this whole situation becomes very complicated.
