But there are times when I get a big win then I become more greedy and want more so I make a bigger bet. I agree with the losing and recouping part because that need for recovery would always put you in the same situation and push you in a greedy way, which is always in favor of the casino. If you can't remove the idea, then it could quickly develop into an addiction and eventually become a problem because most gamblers go through countless losses. That's the main reason why gamblers loses their control, because they always think about the money they've spent, tendency to lose their control because they don't know how to reclaim their loses in gambling, especially if they have no money left in their bankrolls. Losing a large bet should be a sign to stop playing but some gamblers still continue to bet even they've lost so much money and I think they don't know when to stop even if they already build a self limitation and budget. You've made a remarkable point, about staying in control. While gambling, the gambler holds full culpability on their decision. Whether to lose control or not. The demoralizing factor is their emotions on the results of other gamblers. People a person commit to a thing they already know the risk, only dumb people will make a risk to things they don't know the possible outcome if this will become a win-win to their situation or at least to have a chance to get more of what they invested, they already know the possible risk and of course no matter what happen higher chance that the gambler still will play, imagine if the player wins the game for sure they will expect more because they experience the taste of winning, and other side is the person lose already and want to take the money and possible it will return with the first option this cycle will not break until the gambler realize they already addicted and make themselves back and control with this kind of activity.
