It's fortunate that he did well, if not then we would face another humiliating loss that is the situation of India. On paper India looks unstoppable but if we remove the big names still we are struggling to be consistent in both batting and bowling. Jaiswal started positively but he failed to make it big, the same goes for Rutu but they still got 2 games left to justify all the fans shoutout to be given a spot in playing XI.

This is what is known as the transition period. It will take a few years for us to form a good team to play without these legends in ODI.

Jaiswal is going through a bad form and a bad luck. I feel he will make a comeback in the next match. Rutu got a century that can help him in his future within the squad.

Kuldeep is the prodigy of Dravid and Chateswar Pujara.

I think he hung around for 120 odd balls and showed what he can capable of his defense but the problem here is that he is a spinner, when team got someone like Axar or Washi then Kuldeep might not make it to the XI when the team is selected mostly for their batting not for the specialized bowling attack.

Surprisingly this time, performance in Syed Mushtaq Ali considered for national selection, I mean, usually only IPL has been considered as a launchpad for T20I. Ishan Kishan gets into team after a good run in Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. Even he got 200+ in ODI, his performance in 2023 ODI world cup was not convincing, playing world cup in home must be a once in life time opportunity, but now another world cup in home but in different format, you cannot ask more.

As expected Rinku Singh gets back to team. I feel like if Surya Kumar Yadav is not a skipper, he might have lost his spot in team, as of now Hardik Pandya seems like a good choice to captain India but SKY may get into his usual touch at any time.

Anyone feel like Vaibau Suryavanchi for upcoming New Zealand series and then for T20 world cup?

Making Hardik as skipper will add too much pressure that might hinder his batting and bowling performance so let him be in his swag attitude that is good for the team. SKY is doing good job as a captain and all it takes a couple of matches to regain the form and SKY can do that in the upcoming NZ series, hopefully.

Vaibav Suryavanchi is terrific player but he still got time to play in this level because we really can't conclude based on one seasons IPL performances where we got lot of cases who got terrific debut season and faded away from the scene.

Hardick Pandya is not good leader while he is one of the best all-rounders in current era due to his flawless batting and good bowling drop of Gill is setback but still its good for the team SKY needs to be having something otherwise his international career is also near end.

Patel is not new VC, after last WC he was appointed as deputy but as time went by some reports as gossips came out that one section of management influenced by broadcaster thought he wasn't marketable candidate for leadership role. It wasn't related to cricketing talent.

Management did try hardik but his attitude wasn't right as leader. From outside it felt like he wanted to just promote himself by regularly taking a new ball and promoting himself in batting as well. Then we had IPL mumbai fiasco as well.

SKY form is worry but he's given a long rope as he's class player. Let's see if this decision backfires or not. Vaibhav is good but he's still kid so give him some time atleast 2 more years. In year or two he'll be backup opener alongwith Jaiswal. Also, you already have 3 openers in the 15 men's squad ( Sanju, kishan and abhishek) and it's more than enough.

The Assam Cricket Association (ACA), on Friday, suspended four players - Amit Sinha, Ishan Ahmed, Aman Tripathi and Abhishek Thakuri - following their alleged involvement in corrupt practices during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025.

The ACA has also lodged an FIR at the state police's crime branch against the four players, who have represented Assam at various stages.

They are being accused of influencing and attempting to instigate some of the Assam players who took part in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has substantially increased the payments for the women domestic cricketers. The women players are now set to have their match-fee virtually at par with the men in domestic cricket.

As per the revised pay structure, the women players will be paid INR 50,000 per day in every domestic one-day and multi-day games they play. This fee is applied for all the members of the Playing XI. The non-playing members will earn INR 25,000 per match. For T20 matches, the fees will be INR 25,000 for the playing XI, and INR 12,500 for reserves.

Per the existing structure, senior women in the playing XI are paid INR 20,000 with those on the bench get INR 10,000.

Senior Level :
INR 50,000 per day in one-day/multi-day

Cricket has become serious career in India. Methali raj ek interview mein bata rahi thi ki back in early to mid 2000s unhe 4-5 hajar rs mile they as match fees (ICC tourney) and that too after playing finals.

So, positive news but our international women's team play less and if not wrong then its same for domestic. Need to up the ante and numbers should cross atleast 25-30 matches ( each team/per season) across all format.

Yes , Jay Shah has done tremendous job as administrator despite being a Nepo , started giving pension , same match fees to men & women ..incresed domestic matches fees just to name few ...he would have been the BCCI president but had to go to ICC coz Supreme court's directive "need cooloff period between holding office"

i think they have increased matches in domestic cricket , for international they can only organise that much that other boards are willing to ..atleast in womens cricket their is no restriction in taking part in franchise cricket.
