BCCI's central contracts for Indian women cricketers for the 2024-25 season feature three grades: Grade A (₹50 Lakhs), Grade B (₹30 Lakhs), and Grade C (₹10 Lakhs) while BCCI Men's Central Contracts for 2024-25 feature four grades (A+, A, B, C) with annual retainers of ₹7 Cr, ₹5 Cr, ₹3 Cr, and ₹1 Cr respectively.

They will probably increase central contract amount next year (1cr-50lakh-30lakh-10lakh) , so far only match fees is equal which i think is good ..there has to be some merit as revenue mostly comes from men's cricket.

Increased amount in contract and parity in match fees are good.

No disrespect to women's sport but parity on contact should be based on how much food you can bring on the table and no need to be woke when capitalism is at play and keep away loud noises like feminists and simps away from any discussion lol

I believe the contract amount is fair for the reason as you said, men's cricket bring more revenue and in percentage men's get lesser cut than women if I am not wrong. But same match fee give them the motivation to better and also inspire the upcoming cricketers in women's field so they will see that they got a career here too.

^^ yeah , so far so good for women's cricket , one thing remaining is to increase teams in WPL ..maybe add 2 more teams & increase overseas quota in playing 11 t0 5 from 4 .

India got a few weeks break from international cricket while VHT took the spot light. Virat, Rohit, Pant are playing for their respective teams and scored tons already on the first day of the tournament itself. I read that 22 players scored ton on the first day alone which includes Rohit's Virat'ss Vaibav Suryavanshi and many local players from every state.

It is good that world class players are still being part of the domestic game because that is how Sachin used to be so that will inspire upcoming talents.

What about broadcasting those matches? I guess BCCI should do that too.

This is the key, and this will help them to learn about pressure handling and even the real professionalism in cricket. But if the international players are playing then atleast those matches should be broadcasted that will be another motivation for the player to perform and the transparency will help them to reach the actual talents to the next level despite all the internal politics.

And We know there will always be viewers are out there who likes to watch cricket so revenue for the BCCI is kind of guaranteed.

Have no idea who decided not to broadcast, there was no indian bilateral and fair amount of international players are participating in the tournament and it's not like broadcasters had no streaming rights, as far as i know domestic rights are bundled up when you buy national team's broadcasting rights.

But still for some unknown reasons, it didn't go on air.

Replacing is good for the future of Indian test cricket but in the overall picture it might look like a failure of BCCI's decision which I guess don't want to be so they will stick around for a while since we don't have any test match for a long time.

Instead of replacing adding the dedicated batting, fielding and bowling coaches who are capable of doing their job can be useful.

Going by history and politics within BCCI. I bet someone from the BCCI planted this news deliberately through some lackey journalist and after some buzz, next day they officially debunked all the rumours.
