Nah, for dhoni they tweaked uncapped player rule, dont remember exact details but it's was like if someone retired for more than 5 years then he could be considered a uncapped player and could be retain cheaply.

Yeah, that happened but even with a rule CSK is just fighting for the wooden spoon, and by this time people knew that he is retired already from IPL, and there is also some talks on social media that he will be the coach and Flemming will step down or be completely sacked.

But these all are just rumours and we just got our winner for 2026 IPL, RCB won their 2nd trophy under the Patidar captaincy but people only praise Kohli for everything though.

Point is they made a mockery of IPL and treated like some gully cricket and IPL management was in it because of his popularity.

At least now, the names are about the young ones, not the established stars, which is a good change, if not the best.

And about the ratings, I didn't know but I heard in the analysis of ask after a match where Pdogg mentioned that there is almost 30% dip in the total viership of IPL but management said it is due to the election time but I doubt it, and it is basically due to the flat tracks, scoring 200 is the new bare minimum and every kind of bowler is treated like a shitty one so the competition is going completely in favour of batting.

BCCI should make a change or IPL will keep losing ratings.

Didn't seen them promoting any young player, Sanju did get some footage tho.

Don't know what Pdogg is but i remember reading some article around mid season. Think team playing with 8 batters ( impact player) also played important role in big score along with flat decks. At start, pitch looked diverse enough as we had every scoreline.

Even if they are not making exclusive content, they still let the others talk about it or the game is evolving on it's own. Three random English cricketers talking about Suryavanshi is the future of cricket and they all die to see him play the red ball so the game can be revived to its glorious days.

BCCI has appointed Sairaj Bahutule as the spin bowling coach of India's senior men's side.

"A former India international and a domestic stalwart, Mr Bahutule brings with him a wealth of experience as both a player and a coach. Over the years, he has built a strong reputation for nurturing and developing spin-bowling talent across domestic and franchise cricket," the board said in a media release on Tuesday (June 2).

Bahutule represented India in two Tests and eight ODIs. In his distinguished first-class career spanning nearly two decades and 188 games, he claimed 630 wickets. A prolific performer on the domestic circuit, he also scored 6176 runs in his first-class career, going down as one of the finest all-round contributors at that level.He was the bowling coach of India's Under-19 World Cup-winning team in 2022 and was also part of the coaching staff for the 2024 edition of the tournament.

Does this solve their problems?

Appointing spin coach is alright and hardly a issue but in recent times their achellies heel turned out to be their batting against spin at their own backyard., don't think they addressed this one.

^^ excatly my thought & i don't even think he is that good of spin coach if you check his stint with with U19 team it coincide with fast bowling talents so i don't know who he was teaching , last good spinner to come out of U19 setup was Ravi Bisnoi & even he doesn't spin the ball.

This u-19 wc was in SA so seam bias comes automatically in the selection and later performance.

Ideally news should have been about some batting coach, in regards to tackling spin attack but it seems like they are cashing dividends of England tour.

Absolutely correct! Indian batters are good, but they seem to now struggle with spin and spin wickets. Indian batters in today's format are good, but when there is Test cricket, they bat in infront of spinners. I have seen Rohit and Kohli struggling after upgrading themselves for the T20 format. These two were individuals who were once very good against spin in Test cricket.

Absolutely correct! Indian batters are good, but they seem to now struggle with spin and spin wickets. Indian batters in today's format are good, but when there is Test cricket, they bat in infront of spinners. I have seen Rohit and Kohli struggling after upgrading themselves for the T20 format. These two were individuals who were once very good against spin in Test cricket.

IPL and Flat pitches spoiled the batting skills, very few of them focus on their technique because they just want to hit the ball out of the park not drive them on the ground. I never thought team India would require a dedicated coach for the spin by the way.

Royals invested on this kid and now it's their time to reap the rewards and he's just 15. Along with Jaiswal, jurel and parag. It makes a nice indian core and more than decent package and will earn them more fans.

I also doubt RR will sell the kid to MI. They found him and allowed him to rise. I doubt Vaibhav will move out of RR. The way the kid interacts with everyone who is older than him shows sanskar kut kut ke bhare hain isme. Mr Mittal was way happier to meet the kid and talk with him. The prodigy will stay with RR for a long time, I assume, just like Kohli did with RCB.
