I don't even have a new years resolution, much less one about gambling. Been quite a few years really since I've even tried to make one and afaik, most, if not all of my resolutions failed rather miserably so I just gave up and decided on small goals every few months or so instead. I think I did that before though, when I started gambling and got scolded by my gf? She was pretty mad back then when she discovered I was gambling so I added that I wouldn't gamble after that year. Look at where i am now, still gambling and no partner

Gambling is just my past time and so I never really see it as a serious matter. So I don't see any reason to include it in my new year's resolutions. And I just love my experience with gambling this year, so hopefully the following year will still be good to me. And I don't have much regrets with my gambling losses, as I have predicted it already before I started to risk some amount in gambling.


New year is now fast approaching. And if ever I have to make some new year's resolutions, most likely it would be to change some of my negative attitudes towards other people. And I know I have to work on it throughout the year.

We do all have those resolutions in every new year but not all would really be having those kind of resolutions in means of gambling because not all are really that gamblers but for those who had spend tons in gambling
then they might really be having those reconsiderations on lessening or simply quitting gambling on this upcoming new year. For me then i dont include gambling in my new years resolution because im not that addicted too much into it. I would be still continually be that playing on next year but of course everything should really be in moderation if you dont like for yourself to get fucked up with gambling.
People do usually mess up on the time that they do set their bars higher or the profit making thing should happen or else they would be continuing on the things that they've been doing.

I can't involve gambling in my new-year resolution.... Is it even something to be proud of doing?? These days, alot of people don't really value the fact that they've got to please their gambling urge... It's definitely becoming a problem, coupled with the current inflation rate..
instead, every man's new year resolution should be - looking for ways to change Thier psych towards achieving something tangible rather than fetching money from elsewhere to service thier selfish pleasure. I seen alot of peeps saying they'd definitely be on the lookout for new ways to speculate the coming games..; to me, that's just stupid to think of.

hmm, the truth is I have never thought of this as a new Year`s Resolution but the truth is i am hoping on the day my little staking with odd would give me a good cashout, that day would be amazing for me, so if i can`t get it this year then next year probably will hit it

Of all serious commitments to improve yourself and behavior and specific objectives, in all of these if gambling is a part and parcel then you really do have a serious problem entering the new year, which is the problem of gambling addiction. I do gamble for both the fun and money if it comes luckily but adding it to my new year's resolution is one thing I have never thought of. Like do people do that? What can you change in an activity whose outcomes you have not control of but just based on luck.?

I don't think I have ever included it in my New Year's resolution what I include though almost every year is being more responsible in managing my money. I guess trying to be responsible with money eventually affected the way I gamble and I am glad it did but I can't completely say that I am successful at responsibly managing my money, I still buy stuff that I don't really need especially when it comes to cooking.

Hehe, I agree. I have noticed that it's redundant to use include twice for the title. Anyway, it's undertandable.

And I think to the actual gambling addicts, you have to do everything that you can for you to get out of addiction. If it's necessary for you to include it to your new year's resolution then please do so.

Because that might give you the spirit of understanding and push that there's an action needed to be taken by you and that's to give yourself a break through obeying the NYR that you're about to make.

I don't, because I know that I'd still be gambling on the next year and will be continuing to do so on the coming years. It'll be hypocritical of me to ever include in a list that rarely gets followed an activity that I know I'd visit every now and then. Heck, I lessened the amount of time and money that I gamble, and that is without committing it to a list that makes me think I'm a hypocrite. I guess if you're looking to remove gambling in your system, better do it unknowingly rather than focus on achieving that goal and be tempted every now and then.

In the last year resolution I had included gambling. I wasn't able to keep it up for long. Within few months started to gamble. This time I don't have any plans and even if I add it I'm gonna continue gamble after some time. In one way I continued to gamble, but the resolution helped me limit my gambling activities, I didn't spend much as the previous years.

I don't think that many gamblers with, let's say, addiction to gambling will follow even if they have new year's resolutions about stopping their addiction or lessening their gambling habit. I don't believe much in new year's resolutions, or, let's say, I don't believe in those who set new year's resolutions, as I know they end up not doing it. Anyway, it's still good to have a mindset in that field about gambling, about stopping or lessening the gambling habit or lessening the expenses that go to gambling. There's a saying that it's better to have a start than to none.

In my new year's resolution, I aim to gain more money and profit, not in gambling but in something else still related to crypto currency, let's say investing and trading something like that, and I can't do that if I don't build my growth, so it's included in my resolution to have more growth in terms of this field.

I only made one entry in my New Year's resolution and that was four years ago the time I was just starting to bet on a lottery, its addictive especially if you're keeping a combination of numbers you need to keep it up and follow it up I was betting 7 days a week with two tickets that's almost $1 and I incur a big amount of money considering that I was not earning enough.
Now I just bet occasionally and believe that if it's meant for you it's for you, sometimes having a New Year resolution is good unless you are dedicated in fulfilling it.

To stop procrastinating should be number one on the list of everyone and not number six as the image shows, as that is probably the main reason why people do not reach the goals they have set for themselves and that they want to accomplish during the year.

Now when it comes to gambling I do not really have any specific goal, since my gambling has always been under control and fortunately I do not have any kind of money troubles that will require that I quit or limit my gambling.

No, I don't. If I have problems with gambling I will change it right away. I won't wait for the New Year to promise on something. That's the first point. And then I don't think I have problems with gambling. I have been gambling for a long time but always with moderation and self-discipline. If there were times when I got carried away by my wrong emotions, those are a few instances. I don't have the pattern to be emotional when gambling.

I never had a New Year resolution all my life. It's just a way to kid yourself because mostly they don't do it anyway. I think I've seen enough to prove that.
If you want to stop something bad then anytime should be a New Year. I stopped smoking on November 4 years ago and never had a single stick of a cigarette after that. It all depends on the person on how disciplined he will be if we want to absolutely stop his bad habit.

Maybe if I have one about gambling, I'd like it to be the discipline to never be emotional sometimes. Because when I see myself on a losing streak, I tend to lose control and will just snap and not think about my next move. No plans because I cannot control the madness of the RTP not showing for a long time. The feeling like you are being tricked. Yes as least in my case, however, it's very difficult though to removed such vices. Maybe just reduced it a bit might be a good start. Although I believed that if a person really wanted to quit gambling for good, regardless if it is part of their New Year's resolution or not, then they can still quit it.

Or maybe there are old school gamblers here who still wishes and go with the traditional writing of a New year Resolution.

And that includes their gambling habits and other vices and stop it at the start of every year.

Because it is not supposed to regret the defeat that has occurred because gambling is just a game too as you said gambling is only the past, victory will not necessarily be repeated again but defeat will definitely be repeated again if in the new year's resolution we still play gambling. It's good to estimate taking risks before playing, not many people can do this. Most of those who play only know about playing without thinking about the risks that exist later.

No I didn't include my gambling in my New Year resolution list because I don't overdo gambling activities even though I use gambling but I still manage my finances well so I don't need to make changes in dealing with my gambling.

However, we can make changes in a better direction to becomed a better person and it's not easy to make changes straight away because sometimes things just end up on the whislist and people sometimes find it difficult to make changes.
So a good resolution is aimed at addict gambling is difficult to make changes in themselves, they have to have the urge to stop using great intention and determination slowly before entering the new year they have to practice little by little and when they enter the new year they can become a much better person than the previous years.

i don't think that i will include gambling in my new year's resolution considering that i am not a gambling addict and i think my gambling is still normal, there is nothing that needs to be improved or anything.

I never have any plans on that argument.
obviously if a player feel more confident to have a plan its a nice idea have a Plan, but personally for next year I'm thinking of anything other than gambling
