I actually predicted Argentina to win but the game turned out to be something else and Colombia proved me wrong that they are not weak as I thought. They outplayed Argentina but weren’t lucky to find the center of the net.

Before the game, I presumed that it would be an easy victory for Argentina due to presence of known stars players in their team but I was surprised seeing how Colombia held them to extra time before Martinez scored the winning goal. I would have been more happy if Colombia won that game honestly. I like to see teams being rewarded for their efforts and Colombia was the better side in that game, they deserved it more.

Messi's injury was really unfortunate.    His foot swelled after the injury and I hope it isn't very serious. He burst into tears after the incident and it reminded me of Ronaldo in Euro 2024. Both of them are still very ambitious which is very nice to see. These are probably the last years we are watching them live in such big organizations.

It was a tough game for Argentina, mostly for when Messi got injured and was taken off the pitch, at then I felt much pity for Di Maria as it was his last international career game for Argentina for which I really wanted him to retire on winning the Copa America. Messi's injury really made me feel bad, for the love of game it is expected we support and encourage anyone facing difficulty. Nevertheless, it was a great final that produced the winner that deserve it even though the other team are convinced they did their best. Following the media, no one believed that Columbia would be able to hold Argentina to a full time goalless draw. That alone is a big achievement for them despite losing during extra time. Messi was even crying at the bench after he was facing serious injury on his foot. It was a big letdown. I thought Argentina would struggle without him. But, Lautaro Martinez helped Messi win the Copa America trophy. This is also completing his achievement as a football players.

Colombia was solid, but they were playing the brawl game. There are many hard contact between Argentina and Colombia. I really appreciate Colombia. Their fans were so crazy before the game. It forced CONMEBOL to delay the game for more than an hour.
Lautaro deserved it. He was called a savior for Argentina because his only goal in this game saved his club from the Penalty.
