First of all, you should ask yourself why you're here on the forum, this forum is somewhere that provides you with all the Bitcoin knowledge you require and new in your Bitcoin journey, this is the primary aim of this this forum, and then alongside that, their are other incentives that comes along with the knowledge you acquire, which is the gaining of merits and attaining a significant position on the forum and joining a paid signature campaign and then start earning from it.

The problems that we encounter here on the forum as newbies is that we fail to understand the reason for the forum and then we prioritize gaining merits over the learning and seeking knowledge which is wrong. It's just like the bible said, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and every other thing will be added to you, so it is here, seek first the knowledge embedded on this forum and the merits will follow as rewards.

Rather than making merits your priority, I advice you dedicate yourself to learning and acquiring knowledge here, then you'll have something to offer, because you can only earn merit here when you have something productive to offer, that's when you'll be rewarded with merits, so how can you earn merits when you've got absolutely nothing to offer?

This is what many newbies fail to understand and in their quest to seeking merits rather than knowledge, they end up spamming the forum and making irrelevant and unproductive posts and comments just because they're hungry for merits, you won't succeed here like that. Everyone in this forum who has attained a certain significant position all have something to offer and something they've offered to the forum and are now reaping their rewards. So the best way to earn merits is to go first for the knowledge, do your research and then you'll be surprised how the merits will start coming in their numbers.

When I first started to post on this forum, the first thing I did was that I went through the topics and posts that are given merits. I also looked for people that are merit sources and the posts they are giving merit. I noticed if you post something good and useful, you will get merits. I started to bring topics which are about scam on this forum and also about something related to bitcoin. Before I knew, I have my 50 merits.

It is not only about bringing the topics, also there are people that will post on your topic's thread. I read all their posts and reply when necessary. You replies can also be given merits. And you will grow.

The more you will grow and rank up, the meore you will understand more about this forum and know more about how to earn merit. Later, when I have spent some months on this forum, I started to respond fast to new topics. You can use forum notification or ninjastic telegram bot to track new topics. My replies are useful and constructive and I noticed the merit given me are more.

It has been said several times that merits will come naturally when you contribute positively to the forum. But one thing you should be aware of is when your focus is just merit I bet you will have more than 1000 posts activities without any merit. The moment you realize that you are here to share positive information and help others with meaningful contribution in providing useful comments merits will come.

Merits do too matter for person who just come to the forum to learn 1 or 2 but as e come be one very important thing because to grow for the forum you need to collect the needed merits for your rank so e come be say merits na one of the most sort after thing for most members of this forum and for that e come to make sense say you need to learn how to make your posts merits worthy,  but of a truth when I start,  I no know how to get merits and me I was not writing to get merits,  but when I come notice say when I write,  people dey give me merits,  I come to increase in my activnenss and making more posts,  and that way I come begin dey involve in discussions both on my own topics or the topics of other where I see say I get contribution to drop,  like that like that,  na so I see say me sef done dey grow for rank and also I dey always give those people were dey give me merits back and also try to engage in any discussions they are also involved in, sometimes it is easy for you to get merits more when you are still a low rank because at that level,  it still very easy for you to rank up since the needed merits for ranks between hr. member to senior member still the easy to reach,  but to rank from senior member to Hero come hard because na double merits you go work for if you take from hr member to senior and then from senior - hero member,  this make it very hard to move from senior to Hero compared to from Jr member - Senior members.

So by the time you understand all this thing,  you will be able to arrange yourself and know how to go about your forum growth and development,  but the ultimate thing is to write quality posts and contributions and before you know it,  you will see yourself receiving merits,  and for sure merits is very very motivating for a member,  each time your posts receive merits,  you feel as you have impacted or share something that is useful to another member and that why they have rewarded you with merits.

We no need supri supri for here boss, as a newbie wey you be, if you dey interested in knowledge of how to earn merit for this forum, and you no sabi use our unique language ask us, then e better say you post your question for beginners and help board wey be global board, but for this our local board, make we begin to learn how to use our pigin language abeg.

Now, back to your question, I believe say with the number of replies wey you don get already, you suppose Don get the answer wey you dey find, to earn merit no hard, na just for you to make sure say you dey post things wey other users find valuable, and also make sure say you dey post am for the right board.
For example, if you be person wey dey always post for altcoin and it's child boards, you go hardly earn merit even if wetin you dey post make sense, this na because, serious users wey get smerit to give out no dey always check posts on boards like altcoin discussion, off topic and so on.

If all you need here is merit den getting it is not a big deal as long you succom to the rules of the forum. This forum is made up of well knowledge and skill full persons and all will say things based on their own perspective without compromising as long  your contribution is not up to their standard.. Your posts and replies requires enough construction and substance as to what benefit it becomes to the forum. It's not just only obvious that you're a newbie in the forum but also obvious that you are yet to know what you in the forum for, and you need to look inwardly to decipher your purpose and reasons to being here.

1. Deliver something unique to the community to learn from.

You can earn merit if your post is quality, when we mean quality it doesn't necessarily mean the length of your post( short or bulky). Quality post is refer to a post that can benefit and be of help to forum members,  you can also earn merit by working in the forum yo make it be a great place for the discussion of bitcoin. youre welcome to the forum but let me go straight to the point and inform you that this is not a merit farm and as a beginner, you shouldn't be focused on earning merit as it will definitely become a whole bunch of destruction on it own. The forum is designed to talk about Bitcoin and the only reason why the concept of merit became necessary is to encourage individual that are giving in their time and effort in contributing meaningfully to the growth of the forum. You only get merited when you've made positive contributions to the forum that has helped the next persons doubt to be cleared or when you've shared a meaningful information or insight in the forum.

Engage positively in the forum and merit will come to you by itself but if you chase after merit, it will become very obvious and it might lead you to creating irrelevant topics that might make members of the forum avoid your account.

Okay.. First of all,  I will like to emphasize that life on this forum is totally different from life off this forum, and as such, how you relate with others, your reputation and ability to consistently render solutions to issues been discussed plays a major role to enable you grow on this forum.
