There are people that can't move on with any amount of debt that they have and it's not just all about the debt but the shame that they've brought to themselves.

It's true, we don't have exact data on how many lives were lost because of gambling, I mean those who chose the short path of committing suicide after losing from gambling. However, I have my own beliefs as to why that person ultimately decided to commit suicide, because one of them might be that they had other pressures apart from gambling, for example, there were other life problems that other people didn't know about.
