I always wonder how they recreate these viewpoints after the fact, I guess they have the ability to replay a game move by move as some sort of administrator option. The game is pretty simple. Before you start playing, you need to set the bet amount, the  Grid Size (25, 36, 49 or 64), the Number of Mines (from 1 to  grid size-1).

I actually asked chatGPT about this and it gave me the same numbers. So, you are right!
Based on this, I guess the house edge for this game is 4% which is a bit high but still acceptable for an original game.

Yeah, even with the windows OS. I'm already old and still can't beat that game. And so, this mines game isn't really for me.

You're always hot on that raffle, I see now that we're out of the holiday season it has been reduced down to a $20k prize pool but it's still very generous and perhaps that'll free up some cash for different competitions they may choose to run in future - they've already dropped a random $100 to a user on their Twitter feed as well. Minesweeper was as basic as games come but there was a strategy to it and a little bit of luck involved at the end. I'm a bit more nostalgic for Solitaire, back a couple decades ago when PC's had very few free games included and decent games were expensive to a kid

That truly was a tough game and that's why I have compared it with the mines of rainbet. No offense but I am just admitting that I am no good with the game itself.
