I think that's going to be a hell of a fight because both of them have the power required to knock each other down, but the major issue I think Anthony Joshua will have is he is fighting someone that is trying to prove a point, and it will even be more difficult for AJ because this guy Ngannou will be fighting like it's his last opportunity, so being an underdog doesn't change anything, since he is physical enough to fight Anthony Joshua toe too toe but the fight can go either side, because both men are strong.

That's an obvious result, we like the hype Francis brought to the boxing world particularly in the heavyweight division. So a win here would proved that he is for real as he beat a real boxer, not an ordinary boxer as AJ was once a champion. Though the odds says otherwise, we still love to see Francis winning this big fight.

Francis just need to win here, he has to focus on his fight and eventually he'll get the rematch he like. Last time he earned $10 million as reported, but in a rematch, I guess he'll be making more money, or getting a bigger share of the slice.

It's going to be a good fight no doubt about that, but I expect Joshua to knock him out.

Come on now. AJ might be the favourite but a KO? He would be the first person to do so. If AJ is to win it's probably going to be on points like Fury. Francis might as well be made out of concrete.

Depends how he loses it. He lost to Fury but he's still clearly in demand. If Ngannou loses but only on points then that still adds to Francis' stock in my opinion as he's going the distance with some of the biggest and best boxers on the planet not to mention current and former world champs. Francis will continue to take these big money fights for as long as he can but I'm sure he will also start to fight in the PFL and probably is contractually obliged to do so anyway.

If you beat Michael Phelps suddenly, wont it mean that the effort and time professional athletes spent on becoming a champion is worthless, or their records are fake?  It is not about being able to afford to train like AJ instead of throwing sand and etc. It is about anyone can beat the best. I think the discussion have gone too far. We can just simplify this. Not everyone from UFC can become a pro boxer and beat the champion. Ngannou hasn't even proven it yet, and he only became popular because he gave Fury a good fight and was able to knock the champion down. So the hype for him to win is high although bookmakers doesn't believe it will happen as we can obviously see that he is the heavy underdog. However, as the public keeps hyping his name, we might see a slight changes of the odds in the long run, before the fight.

Right now, Ngannou all have is hyped, but the moment he step up in the ring and beat AJ, that's a different story as he beat a champion calibeer boxer, and most likely he could get a rematch against Fury on a championship fight, if Fury will remain as champion after his fight with Usyk.

MMA has it all from boxing and jujitsu to wrestling. if anyone has to qualify to fight either in boxing or wrestling the guys from UFC can do it all. this is why they tried crossing and so many of them including the most popular such as Connor and Diaz. but Francis is just the exception of all since he really made it to the field of boxing, he didn't cross but stayed and even ranked on WBC.

why i want Francis to win is because of his life story. a poor boy from a poor country Cameroon who made it to the top. that's got to be the most inspiring story for the people in that country. if Nigerians can make it, they too can do it.

In MMA it is necessary to train in various aspects of combat that are not necessary in boxing. Because of this, an MMA fighter will focus on a variety of skills but is not necessarily concerned with having the best boxing, or muay thai, or jiu jitsu skillset. Focusing exclusively on one would neglect your other skillsets. Fury and Joshua have only trained in boxing their entire lives so therefore their skills are more refined for this discipline compared to Ngannou.

Nope, Ngannou is still a checkers guy, because all those skill he learn for MMA, not all of them are striking He is like a bit of a chess, a bit of a checkers, a bit of a backgammon, a bit of a scrabble guy Where AJ is a pure chess player. And his coach is the guy who has been doing F2-F4 most of his time. How you gonna beat a chess grandmaster with all that combo? Sound impossible on a paper. But IRL that guy manage to beat chess grandmasters. And that is why such games, victories and results cast shadow on chess in general.

Bookies make him the underdog just like his fight with Fury. of course, they will do that as AJ is a pro and has been fighting in boxing for years and has won a championship while Ngannou just recently came on the picture after a stellar performance against Fury, but this time it's either he lose or win convincingly. His hype will be over as soon as he got 2 L in his boxing record and AJ's journey towards the championship fight will continue.

I completely disagree, if you are good enough to beat Michael Phelps, then you will definitely go and show what you can and they will take you to the team, and you will become a champion.

It’s the same in boxing, if you think that you are stronger than Joshua or Fury, then you will go to boxing, defeat everyone and reach these guys, if you defeat them too, then no one will be able to say that you are not a real champion. It doesn’t matter if you are an Olympic champion in the past, or if you are the current champion now, if you are stronger, then you have the right to be called a champion. But for this you must go through the path that Joshua, Fury or Ngannou went through, each had their own, but each of them deserves to be a champion.
