I'm had sign-up for exactly name : "Gokana" , unlucky my IP address is detected as evil IP.

So I decide to make new account follow dot at last character , look like cool for me and fine.

I know am new here, but I would like to given a suggest for make a new payment with bitcoin lighting or alt-crypto?

Since we are know lightning bitcoin is able to spend with small amount like a cent.

I believe If this forum able to accepting with lighting bitcoin or alt-crypto, make this forum environment going be better.

Paying with altcoins can not be acceptable for paying for evil fee. Probably lightning network may be accepted one day but not now. What you can do is to go for what Jawhead999 said, to send email to one of the people that can whitelist your account for you. With it you will pay no fee at all.

It is not that some people may be lucky. If he is new on this forum and the person that wants to whitelist his account think like that, they will whitelist his account for him.

Another suggestion is that some VPN can bypass paying the evil fee. If you register using the VPN. Not all VPN can do that.

I actually thought using VPNs (mostly cheap or free ones) and TOR when trying to register on to the forum can lead to higher chances of you ending up with a proxy ban. This is because most of the bad actors use VPNs and Tor to abuse the forum, so the IP addresses get blacklisted. The next time an innocent user uses, let say, the same VPN service with that free IP address to register, they get a proxy ban.

This issue happened to me when I attempted to register using Tor. The new account had a proxy ban and just gave up on it.

If that username means a lot to you and you cannot pay the evil IP fees, then continue posting here for two weeks to a month and PM me. if I find you made a high quality posts and earned ~3 Merits, I will add your account to my white list and you will be able to post using that username without paying.

Frankly, the Lightning Network option may be good and better than altcoins.

Like everyone else has said that there's some possibility of accepting or adding lightning network for evil IP fees but allowing payments in altcoins is not going to happen. You have got a great offer from HugeBlack, you just need to be active on the forum and make some good quality and useful posts. He'll whitelist your IP address and then you don't need to pay any Evil IP fees.

Here is bitcoin discussion platform purposely designed to engage all other bitcoiners around the world, it's unacceptable to leave our own coin aside and accept another one which is of low standard or value to Bitcoin in making payments when there's no issue in using bitcoin, altcoins may not be allowed, but the idea of lightning network may be a good idea anyway.

People don't have issues with the payment of evil fee here, we just want to make sure that miscreants were not allowed to freely abuse the forum by any chance, there are threads you could also apply for to get whitelisted, making payments is not also by any means affecting the forum growth.

By that time, you knew what evil IP was and that your IP affects that metric, and how much of a "penalty fee" you would have to pay to fix it. Why then, if you wanted to use the Gokana account in the future, did you create a new account (Gokana.) and pay the evil fee for that one instead of your original account?

Lightening network would have been a great option to add, and it makes lots of sense for a bicoin discussion forum to promote LN advancement globally, but I personally do not think the target audience would be as savvy in using LN, if it comes with a guide on how to make payments through channels it can increase usage, but majority would freak out and think this forum is a scam.

There are also some VPN that are working. Those that spam on this forum that got banned are not using all the VPNs while some will work for awhile before not working again because of the spammers that moderators continue to ban but using the VPN to open new accounts. Also the use of clean IP will be good, but this is difficult because the user is not from a country with clean IP address. If he has a friend in countries like UK, Ukraine and other well developed countries, the friend can help him create one by giving him an email address to use for it. But I use VPN for newbies that registered through me that are my friends and it works.

Yes, you are right about that. I honestly didn't consider it. I was thinking that if OP had reasons to use a VPN or TOR to mask their original IP while creating one account, they would try something similar the second time as well because they don't want to disclose their real IP to the forum. Perhaps when OP comes back, they can explain properly how they went about doing it.

Any way this could also be done is to have a friend who has been registered on the forum talk to those who are capable of doing whitelist, whitelist the account. I don't how possible this is but it can still be done.

No, you are not getting it right. The email users that can whitelist are using on this forum is different from the email they use for whitelisting. Any new registered person that is not able to post can see a link to the emails of those that can whitelist. To whitelist is not as hard as some people thought.

The essence of allowing the Op to make high quality posts and earn atleast 3 merits is to ensure that OP is not a random spammer. I believe OP can beat this challenge and maybe get help from others to enjoy your offer. What then happens if the former username is whitelisted. OP will end up having 2 accounts and the later username could be likely more important than the former because it will have merits. Maybe as a merit source, you will have a way to compensate him in the former account.

The user became wiser to understand that he could use a clean IP to register to evade the evil fee and later return to his evil IP.

I completely agree, especially since Bitcoin fees are high, The amount is very small and the forum does not benefit from it.

Certainly. I'm certain most of the members who stumble on the forum without any guidance from an already registered member will abandon it once they see a big red banner telling them they have been banned and need to pay a token to get unbanned, no matter how small that token is.

Most of the members who use that option are ban evaders (this of course is down to personal perception),  so we still are not getting through to target audience.

Discontinuing the evil fee penalty all together is a solution. It is long overdue and has not had the desired effects to prevents account farming and ban evasions.

Several trusted users of Bitcointalk have the power to whitelist newbies who have been affected by the Evil IP bans. The email addresses to contact them are public. Unless something has changed, LoyceV is one of them. Others include SFR10, Welsh, hugeblack, Upgrade00, and maybe some others.

That's correct. AFAIK, all mods can also whitelist users, but they do not have a puvlucly available email where proxybanned members can reach out to them to request a whitelist.
Welsh is a mod so should always have had the ability to whitelist since they were appointed.
