Most people hold a very positive bias towards themselves so they cannot really judge their actions in a fair manner, for example in a study which I read many years ago, most students thought about themselves as harder working than the average, an impossibility of course, as by definition only half of the students can be above the average in any given metric at a time, so while an addicted gambler may see their gambling in a positive light, their friends know the truth and see they are gambling too much.

Probably that is the case of addicted people who tend to see themselves in a distorted kind of reality where their views over their actions seem fogged to understand they are damaging themselves on long run and bringing negative consequences for those are around them and rely on them, such as family members. However, it's a surprise for me that most people hold very positive opinions about themselves, because so far I thought most people were heavily critics about themselves, what directly impact on how they think others might see them, and how they evaluate their own professional and social performances.

So they feel like they should strive maximum as possible to cause positive impressions on others, while doing their jobs with excellence, because on their views, despite what they do, it's never enough on other people's judgements.

On the other hand, addicted gamblers seem to not be concerned about what others think about them, displaying what could be also considered an egoistical, self-centered behavior. So it makes total sense to think they view themselves in a very positive light which is inconsistent with reality, like you said.

I gat you right, everything doesn't just happened overnight, it requires time and patience from us to learn and see that we have improved in many aspect from what we do, we have to take much of the time needed before we could actually realized some of these things and their implication as being applicable to gambling, those we see gambling today have many years of gambling experience and still yet they are gambling with the understanding of either winning or loosing despite their own person developed strategies.

Everyone of use here have our own understanding and strategies in gambling but most of it are gamblers who actually copying others gambling strategies and I don't think so if it's gonna be effective once we are copying others strategy cause we are all know that in the world of gambling there's a time that we will loss even though we are in a good momentum but still in the end of the play we will loss. Well, you are sure right, no man at all on earth is an island of knowledge him or herself, just exactly the same way a single tree can not and does not make a forest, as humans, we can pretend to be independent from other people around us, possibly because we have made good money to be self sufficient in ourselves, but the truth is that, no man can ever be truly independent from other people, somehow and somewhere, we will from time to time need help from other people in different areas, and ideas, strategies on how to perform certain type of tasks are some of the type of help we will from time to time require from others.

Coming back to gambling, no body can be truly dependent on themselves and their self conceived ideas or strategies alone, for even strategies sometimes stops working, and at such a time, the person seeing that things are still working normally for the other person, will like to know how that person is doing it, so, in the end, we discover that humans are created and interconnected like a network, we need each other to scale and excel, no body can make it, not just in gambling, but also in other areas of life, depending only on themself alone.
