You said the kids was left home alone. So, I assume they are inside their house. Therefore dangerous dogs won't be able to attacked them or they won't be threatened by other hazards that we can mostly see on the streets because I also assume that the door is shut and then the gates were closed.

The state of mind of the addicted person (not only specific in gambling) is not healthy anymore, so it's no surprised that they can do such act. But indeed, we or the kids are lucky because there are concerned citizens that help them. that actually may be true, i would say, it was not the first time to happen. because for sure, he did that before but maybe just few or couple of hours. but this time, about 5 hours? that's really terrible for the kids considering the age. they should always be under supervision of an adult. i guess, this man is a gambling addict exchanging the welfare of his kids with his gambling desires. the wife should think twice now on their situation.

I think that man needs to be put in a rehabilitation centre to have his mental condition checked because what he did was really irresponsible. A sane father would not want to do something that would put his children in danger without adult supervision. We are all concerned about this incident and hope it does not happen again.

The rehabilitation centre can cure the man, but with the note that the man regrets that he made a fatal mistake towards his children.
