Don't know if I'm being too emotional here but I think my activity's stuck when it's just 2 left for me to achieve my senior member rank. Anyone here has an experience of what makes mine stuck  ?
I tried reading through the forum about merits and activity and it seems activity is supposed to add up every 14 days so does this mean I have to wait for 2weeks 🥺

Yea I also noticed yours @ Nwada001 it's been long since yours decided to slow down. just a little more patience and it will add up. For both you and miachloe, I guess it's a sign of good quality posters as you already have past enough merits of another rank.

The activity system works differently for everyone, some peoples activities which I've seen, updates along side their post counts while some works randomly. You have to be patient mate.

Activity on this forum is not working differently for every users, it is the same. Every 14 days, 14 would be added to your activity. But if you are not posting continuously and your activities reach your posts number and you are not posting, next posting up to 28 posts may add up to 28 activities at once.

Yeah, don't worry.
Your merit is higher than your activity, you won't have problems to rank up.

I think that after hero member everything is almost the same, and what is really important is your reputation here, not your rank.

Doesn't that happen only when you're at Newbie rank or something like that?  I swear when I was new here I had no clue whatsoever as to how the ranks worked, and I just kept posting and ranking up--this was before the merit system came down from on high from Theymos on what was probably the most drama-filled day/week/month I've ever experienced on bitcointalk.

Anyway, in addition to echoing everyone's "be patient!" comments I'd add that OP and Nwada001 are fortunate to have enough merits stacked up such that they'll reach their next rank just by gaining activity points.  It could be a hell of a lot worse, and it is for a lot of members who have a hard time making posts good enough to earn merits.  So I'd say you've both got luxury problems, so to speak.  Just wait until you're eligible to get Legendary rank.  It's a crapshoot as to what activity count you'll actually achieve it, and if you're impatient now just check back when you're a Hero with 1000 merits or more and you've hit the minimum activity for Legendary.  Every week you'll be pulling your hair out.  Lol.

This is true, but I think the activities do count more than this if you have created your account for a long time and have not been able to post to meet up with the activity count. Let me use my account. For example, I created this account in July 2022, and I was not active on the forum.
 
I posted once in a while, until late 2022, before I later started being late 2023, and ever since then my activity did not stop adding till I was able to accumulate my full member activity requirement, which was the last time I took note of it before it stopped counting, and now it takes every 14 days to update.

Your actvity is equal to minimum of your post count and 14 * number of two week actvity periods in which you have made at least 1 post.
You have been active in 17 periods and that's why your actvity can't be more than 14*17. Your activity will increase, once you make your first post in the next period.

The next activity period will start on February 2 at 12:46:40 (UTC).

Get used to waiting buddy as the more you rank up, the longer you gonna have to wait for the next rank.

So, for example, after you've become Sr Member in a few weeks, you will have to wait for something like 7-8 months to become Hero Member which means those 2 weeks that you have to wait now are nothing really.

Most good posters here were lucky to quickly accumulate enough merit for their next rank, while they lacked enough activities to rank up. I am a typical example because, right from when I started off on the forum, I usually earn enough merit to always reach the next rank, but activity doesn't allow me until it is actually completed. What I mean is that I had more than one merit as a newbie, but my activity never allowed me to rank up. Same for member rank until Sr. Member, but I believe the same thing will not repeat for my next rank because in the next two weeks, my activity will complete for a Hero member, but I lack enough merit to reach it.

In conclusion, you don't really need to give too much thought to it because you will definitely rank up. You are not the only person who has such a case, and as a matter of fact, there are some members with more than 1000 merits, but they lack enough activity to rank. So, just Chile, make more good posts and earn merit

I think I will have to spam this post a little by repeating what others have said "Be patient".

If I most say mate your so lucky to have accumulated enough merit that is required to for your next rank and at this point we that are low in merits are supposed to be worried and not you that has made it to the top already. just a joke; is there anything special that is time limited in this forum that your are anticipating that you're in a haste get the senior member rank? lol
I guess it's just for rank up sake so waiting for a few days isn't a big deal brother.

 It's nothing to lose sleep over. Since you've started your journey, you'd definitely get to the end of it but that doesn't mean you won't encounter difficulties, it's just a matter of being patient. The best way to let this issue slide quickly is to take your mind off this matter as it happens to others as well.
 Funny part is, you are just needing two activities to push you to the next rank, what then will you say for @Nwada? The guy has been pushed to the hero member rank for a long time now but he has advised you to exercise patience. I think you need to take his advice to heart.

It is a normal thing that happens to every account activity runs in every 14 days so i have seen many profile that has gained so much merits but remains in a particular spot since they haven't gained the required activity to moved them to the next rank, you don't have to over worried yourself because when you gain complete activity nobody will notify the system to automatically move you to the next rank suitable for your merits though even though you gain 1k merits and you have Hero member activity you would enter next rank till you have a complete activity to take you whatever rank you are to enter.

So sad Mia Chloe you need only 2 activity for promoting into next rank senior and now you need to wait for 14 days mean 2 weeks for increasing activity then you will become a Senior Member

I know it's somehow sad feeling when you have required merits to reach the next rank but your activity stops you from reaching that rank. But, when you see the next rank then you'll be happy my friend so just relax with some patience and don't be sad.

Yeah, we all know that feeling of ranking up. You've done what's within your powers to do and that's being active, posting. Activity upgrade depends on the forum bot and there's nothing you can do than wait it out. It's better what's holding you isn't merit count, otherwise you will understand the true meaning of patience 😏. Now, relax. Two weeks is just around the corner. Congrats in advance!

Yes you have to wait 2 weeks. Activity grows +14 every 2 weeks, provided that you have posted at least once a day in these 2 weeks, according to this:

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Rough summary of what this means: If you post once per day on average, then you will eventually get the maximum number of activity points that you can get. Posting more than once per day on average is useless for increasing activity. The maximum number of activity points you can get is 1 per day, but your activity score only updates every two weeks. Therefore, it will take about 100 days to get 100 activity if you post once per day on average.

The most difficult part is when you have acquired the necessary merit to upgrade, but you have to wait for the activity to pile up

Things work the same for every member except Legendary member rank that has a random activity point for a specific user, not the same for all.

You only need 14 more days, to rank up and other campaigns will give your new and even better opportunities to join.

You are a full member and already enrolled in signature campaign, so this shouldn't be a new experience for you. Besides it is better that activity is holding you from ranking up than for merits to hold you. There's actually nothing to worry about because the difference between Snr member and full member is not very much. I will understand your complaint when you stuck for so long in the hero rank and want to rank up to legendary rank.
