since today is monday, it’s time to tell myself that classic lie: “from now on, i’m going to exercise regularly.”
honestly, i don’t understand why we make promises to ourselves every monday and then give up on them. i’ve never completely stopped exercising, but somehow it’s always hard to stick to a routine.
Everyone has had that period in life when he makes promises to himself and finds himself deviating from his initial goal sometimes because of his engagements and unplanned activities. In this case, pushups exercise is energy oriented and fatigue can set in and make a mate to Postpone his next exercise until further notice. It first starts with procrastination and then, when you try to get back to the floor, you find it difficult to do so because the body adapts easily to comfort and until you realise and breakout again, you may get forgotten on the bench.
I have made myself that promise of never missing a day without pushups, but then, you get lazy or get sick, before you regain from sickness, you also get lazy and struggle to get back to the floor.
I had engaged in my pushups this week starting from Sunday and I did 120 pushups daily by 4 days today inclusive.
