It's a cryptocurrency that could potentially give you more upside knowing there's a non-zero chance that an Ethereum ETF can be approved in the future.

With that said, as anything that could give you more upside, the downside is bigger as well. Also taking note that in the smart contact niche, Solana has gained decent market share because of the far cheaper fees and the cosmos ecosystem is starting to get heated up as well. I am honestly baffled how it's possible at apparently custodial holding of third party like Prometheum, that hold eth for their users makes eth a security? That's absurd. Have they heard what binance and many other services does? They even gave rewards for staking them? But i guess everything is different when exchanges are in us. I always seen this cex staking as questionable service and legally very much gray area, but this is just stupid. But i am assuming this is just a byproduct of laws that are not keeping up with the tech.

When you invest in Ethereum just because you’ll make a lot of profit in its investments than when invested in bitcoin, I will just say one should go for altcoins. Altcoins other than Ethereum are much more proven far better to make one a lot of profit than the Ethereum you are talking about. I do understand the logic behind that. Since ethereum is relatively cheaper than bitcoin, they could acquire more right now and then gain bigger profit later on however choosing which altcoin to invest in requires not only considering the profit one can gain but also how can one utilize the coin.

Some people tend to think that bitcoin is a much better coin in terms of utilization. Bitcoin has high transaction fees and so do ethereum, even higher sometimes. I think it would be best if one were to acquire both. This will allow for more diversification of your portfolio as well.

In terms of safety, Ethereum is on top of all the altcoins out there because it has been there for a very long time, and it has a huge community as well.
On the other hand, though, some smart contract platforms are gaining popularity just because of the very low fees when they're using their blockchain. I mean let's face it, it's very annoying to make a transaction that will cost you 4-5$ or even higher. That's what Ethereum is right now, and compared to altcoins, I would rather use them rather than Ethereum.

I believe that investing in Ethereum is very conservative. This ecosystem has a great future and Ethereum is not threatened by SEC regulation. In the worst case scenario, the team will pay a small fine.
Investors prefer more dynamic assets, where the price can increase by 500-1000%, and Ethereum has little chance of such things.

I am not sure I understand what you mean though I read the binance article. I was saying that the value of Ethereum isn’t that tied to that of Bitcoin in a way that we can say that when Bitcoin is $100k, Ethereum will be $10k. If bitcoin's competitors, even if they are more technologically advanced, will still play a secondary role, then Ethereum, at first glance, may have problems with this. It will not be easy for Solana (or another coin coin) to catch up and dislodge Ethereum from his position.

In the end though, wanting more potential profit isn't necessarily bad. Just make sure to practice proper risk management.

One thing you need to understand is that there is no way investing in Ethereum would be more profitable than investing in Bitcoin. The difference has to be clear and we don't have to agitate more in that. Bitcoin is more volatile than Ethereum and the price make the entire crypto market to accelerate or decelerate.

The only way I think Ethereum (Ether) can achieve this is if the community plan to do it. Of course, they are very liquid and they have money and everything surrounding Ethereum is centralized so it's possible but if that price is achieved, it wouldn't last upto a week before everything crash below that amount because the supply of Ethereum is so large that if halve of it is move to the market, they will do a lot of damage to the price.

Ethereum is a very good coin but you can't compare it with BTC. It can never reach to BTC level in my opinion but only in terms of worth not in terms of profit.If you're looking for some good profits ETH is far better then BTC it can give some high pumps like it has done in the past. BTC is safer for larger investments, you can get good profit if your investment assets are high.

On the other hand ETH is for a medium asset investment, by investing some thousand of dollars you can get a potentially good profit on ETH.but nowadays it's getting competition by other projects like SOL which is built quite similar to ETH and is doing good in the market. My sentiment for Ethereum is always very good as it has the highest market cap after Bitcoin. And it will always hold its value trust it. ETH has a lot of potential for the future so I don't think it would be bad to invest here for the long term like Bitcoin. i think the calculation here should be taken into account, with $3k you can get 1 ethereum or 0.049 BTC. If with that money you buy 1 whole ethereum if the price increases 30% it means you got 30% increase, easy $900 but what happen if bitcoin price increases 30% and you only own fraction of it which is 0.049 BTC? well you calculate it (0.049 / 1 BTC) * 30% is what you got as a profit which is the same $900
this means that having higher capital when investing in BTC don't really plays a big role here. you  get as much profit if our capitals just too low to buy a whole bitcoin meanwhile with altcoin it will be the same but I guess he's talking about the price fluctuation that usually over the top with altcoin, since many of altcoin as we have known for a long time can get up to. really high these days so maybe he's talking about ETH gains.

For once, Ethereum was one of the most decentralized cryptocurrencies after Bitcoin. But things have changed with the switch to PoS. I think Ethereum is now dominated by VCs, institutional investors, and companies alike. They hold a large stake in the network. ETH could make you profits if it keeps rising in price. But what use would that make if the network itself is centralized? Most people want to make money instead of focusing on what matters most. Only truly-decentralized crypto projects will stand the test of time.

I couldn't imagine what will happen with ETH after the hype ends (or worse, when Vitalik Buterin is no longer with us). At least, the code is open source. With forks like Ethereum Classic, and ETHW, we can still relive the good-old days of ETH. We can't predict the future, can we?

The only downside is the increasing centralization on the ETH network. We can blame PoS for this. It may be the second-largest crypto by market cap, but that doesn't mean it's the best decentralized Bitcoin alternative. In fact, chains like Litecoin and Ethereum Classic are much more decentralized than Ethereum. I sure hope Vitalik Buterin fixes ETH before it's too late.

Why do we want "Wall Street" to take over ETH when they will centralize it? Right now, big exchanges and whales are able to influence the future direction of the project with their stake. That's why Bitcoin will never become a PoS "shitcoin". Who knows what will be of ETH in the future?

What they say is well-founded, based on previous cycles, Ethereum's profitability is clearly superior more than Bitcoin. If you are only interested in increasing the amount of Bitcoin, you can trade the ETH/BTC pair.
