Yes, that's right and that's because they have a healthier mindset compared to gambling as usual which only wants to win and money, everyone who gambles definitely wants to win and not just for entertainment, let alone fun, I also apply this method to be able to shift the mindset so that Don't always think about gambling to win, but just for entertainment and having fun, nothing more than that, so you don't feel disappointed or even emotional when you lose. This is often applied by rich gamblers who usually have fun spending their money on gambling.

So much entertained by gambling that these people don't realize that they are now slowly reaching the level of gambler from casual, to regular, to heavy, and will end up addicted. Since they are gambling for fun therefore they want to continue that fun. Since it's gambling they will throw away money here just to make fun. I don't think these people will have good control over their emotions. Regardless of the purpose why they gambling, emotions are part of it, and no excuse. If these people who considered gambling for fun will win at some point, for sure they will continue. If they lose, for sure they will attempt to chase those losses. Not much different from those people who treat gambling for other purposes.

The things that on the surface seem like the easiest are in reality some of the hardest things to do, controlling your impulses sounds easy in theory, however those impulses are natural reactions that we all have, so controlling yourself under those circumstances means going against your most basic instincts and that is very difficult to do.

And we can see examples of this every day, not only when people gamble, but in many other activities too, as if you were to ask a person what is the thing they did they regret the most, very often you will listen to a story in which the person failed to control their impulses and that is what caused them to do something dumb or risky.

True that. It's actually a very hard skill to learn and it's not being talked about enough. I personally won't blame anyone that finds it difficult to keep their emotions in check. As someone that is aware that emotional management is a crucial skill and actively tries to build strong resilience yet, there are circumstances where it fails me. Imo, the key is to always remain calm even though emotions are all over the place and everything is just going haywire.

Even if it's just watching a football game, my emotions can get messed up really fast not to mention a bet I have a vested interest in winning.
