I always try to complete an 8 hours sleep every day too but because my schedule is broken it's not easy to do it. It's difficult for people who aren't able to get sleep again once they are awake. It's true, that the brain works differently when we lack sleep and we can tell that if our job is writing articles, or other stuff that is not repetitive, because we need to think before we do it.

I have not used drugs in any part of my life, even when I am so down and have nothing and no one to help me. When we dive into that, we might never float again and we will just drown in being a drug addict until we die. That thought is what kept me from avoiding that kind of stuff.

Honestly, I don't understand the point you are making regarding dedication to a game. But it's true, that doesn't mean your friend is addicted. however, it seems that symptoms like this can lead to addiction. however, I dare not say so. because I don't know your friend, plus only you know what your friend's routine is like. well, basically we agree with the title of this thread. There are some who are doing that when they are under the influence of alcohol too.
