At the time when Bitcoin touched the highest price in the history of Bitcoin, the price of Bitcoin was just above $69,000 and just one to two days ago this year, the price of Bitcoin touched $69,000.
The price of Bitcoin has been going higher high and higher low during the bull market but what we are seeing now is the opposite of everything we have been expecting from the market. Investors are not supposed to be too focus on the price of Bitcoin because it can create an emotional state. Your statement is absolutely correct, Bitcoin is a business where you must take a risk if you want to make profit.
As a Bitcoin investor, you don't have to concentrate too much on how to make profits from buying Bitcoin since that is one of the ways many people are making the mistake thinking they can buy Bitcoin now and start making profits later. Once an investor can change his mindset about accumulating Bitcoin instead of looking for ways to make quick profit, that will be very helpful. This is sell sell sell ideology which is trading not investment and can mislead a newbie just as it has led many to losses than gains.
It is time for people to change their ideology about the market and they should be ready to buy and hold Bitcoin not to be looking for ways to sell immediately they have made a little profit from the market. If eveyone has the ideology of selling, the price of Bitcoin would have not gotten to the level we are seeing it now. Holding Bitcoin pays for anyone that is focus of accumulating Bitcoin to have Bitcoin portfolio.

I don't really consider Bitcoin as a business for investors because business is what gives someone return almost all the time which means that it is not business for investors but it can be a business for traders because they trade to get return every day or some days which most times doesn't give the return. And for your Information, short term investment doesn't and can never reduce any risk instead you will stand a higher chance of losing your money and please don't Infect pleb with your trading mentality.
Some person with their crazy mentality, people just want to make money very quick, why is that everything has become fast money making avenue for some folks, they forget that every investment has their concept and before anyone can think of trading with Bitcoin, they should first have a rethink if Bitcoin is actually for trading or long-term hodling, the reason why people get stucked halfway is because they think that Bitcoin can give them all they need in a short while but that is like asking too much from a system that is not meant to be like that, I do not know how traders reason, however, I'm very much concerned about newbies who read some of this things.

We should not blame anyone who wants to make profit from the market because all of us wants to profit from the market but the manner in which we go about it is what makes the difference, Due to poor knowledge some people believe they can beat the market through making quick profits, some make mistake due to that and later learnt that holding for long is where the real profit is. This is sell sell sell ideology which is trading not investment and can mislead a newbie just as it has led many to losses than gains.

Holding Bitcoin pays for anyone that is focus of accumulating Bitcoin to have Bitcoin portfolio. There are people who bought Bitcoin at early stage and held, today they are happy for their decision because through Bitcoin, they are far richer than how they would have ever imagined. They are even better off than those who simply buy and sell for quick profits. So, the truly enjoy the financial benefits of Bitcoin, long term investment is surely the way to go about that.

People do not need to spend their entire time trading to know bitcoin portfolio one should look consistently on accumulating Bitcoin at least 2 to 3 years or even longer. Secondly Bitcoin doesn't guarantee anybody or promise a quick gain so people should stop to outsmart the market price with steady trading. A lot of your point gives that one are primary a trader, but bitcoin is meant to be for longer time investment so why should people care so much about short term investment.
It is true that an investor does not need to trade all the time but should focus more on savings. But a 2–3 year time frame may not be enough for long-term Bitcoin investment. Because if someone has limited income and he buys Bitcoin little by little every week or every month from his discretionary income, then perhaps his position in 2–3 years may still be small. Because Bitcoin is not just a calendar time calculation but how much value he has been able to accumulate in Bitcoin compared to his income may also be important. For example, someone may be starting with his small discretionary income. After 2–3 years, he may be able to gain practical experience, be mentally strong in the market fluctuations but that does not mean that his accumulation work is over. Rather, he may have increased his income, strengthened his emergency fund and become in a position to invest more money regularly than before. An investor does not need to trade at all, there’s no reason for you to be dwelling on short term price movements, it’s only going to waste your time and cost you reasonable money that could have gone to build your bitcoin portfolio. Trading even when it’s beneficial cannot be compared to the long term gains, investors should know this. You’re right 2-3 years is a long time but considering holding in bitcoin it’s not long term. The minimum long term is to complete a cycle and that’s 4 years. So an investor should consider holding for a period of 4-10 years or more. Maybe five years is a reasonable planning horizon. But I don't see the need to make it the definitive definition of long-term investing. While time is important for an investor, time is not the only thing. Someone may have a five-year goal, but if they invest beyond their limits, don't have an emergency fund, or change their strategy after seeing price fluctuations in a few months, then writing five years on the calendar does not solve these problems. Again, many people start planning for 4 years, but later, depending on their financial situation, it can be longer. So, more important than five years is the question of whether the person can afford to keep the money they are buying Bitcoin with for a long time.

Your statement is absolutely correct, Bitcoin is a business where you must take a risk if you want to make profit. but you must also be sensitive by making your decision, short time investment can help you reduce the risk and plan better again, short time investment also gives you the opportunity to study and understand the market very well.
It seems to me that you are misjudging the correct approach to investing in bitcoin, because you are using the concept of "short-term investment", although in fact a real investor sets deadlines from 4 to 10 years. And you also write about risk, and I want to note that if you use an absolutely correct investment strategy such as DCA, then you will not incur any risk, because you will strictly buy bitcoin and you will absolutely not care what the price of bitcoin is now, and what it will be tomorrow. Your head won't even be filled with technical analysis, because you'll realize that you're constantly accumulating, which will inevitably lead to success. However, I do not agree with those who think that long-term investment means guaranteed success. Not only that, some people still think that there will be no risk in doing DCA and that if you continuously accumulate Bitcoin, you will inevitably succeed, but these are just tools for successful investment. DCA is basically a method of reducing entry-timing risk, not a method of eliminating risk. Suppose someone buys Bitcoin every month for 10 years. Still, some risks remain. It is not certain what the long-term value of Bitcoin will be in the future. If the personal financial situation is bad, he may have to sell Bitcoin at a time when the market is low. Someone can buy an asset for 2 years and invest based on fundamental analysis, while someone can hold an asset for 10 years whose valuation he has no idea about. The average cost of buying Bitcoin is likely to be higher for someone who is constantly, consistently, regularly, and perhaps even aggressively buying Bitcoin than for someone who is strategic about their Bitcoin purchases. You think that it is better to employ waiting tactics as compared with ongoingly buying bitcoin? You are very presumptive, including that you think that it is better to have a lower cost per BTC rather than having more BTC. And, especially if we measure out for 1-2 cycles or longer, it may well have had been better to stay focused on trying to improve discretionary income and ongoingly buying bitcoin, rather than fucking around waiting for dips that might not happen. Waiting is an unhealthy and unserious attitude when it comes to bitcoin accumulation. Do you need an example? or you just presume that you are smarter than everyone else in terms of being able to identify when and/or how far dips are going to happen? The person who is more serious about accumulating Bitcoin will likely put themselves in a better position by continually buying Bitcoin than the person who is waiting for the price to drop, which may or may not happen.
At least you acknowledge that the guy waiting for dips is not serious. When we are constantly buying, we cannot be very confident about the short to medium term price movement of Bitcoin, so it is probably better for us to accumulate continuously and perhaps find ways in which we can increase our income and increase our discretionary funds. Reducing our expenses and other things to ensure that our cash flow management methods and practices are in a relatively strong and comfortable position based on our current financial and psychological situation. So perhaps if we buy Bitcoin reasonably and regularly for 8 years or more, build and maintain our backup funds, and engage in reasonable discretionary consumption, we have a pretty good chance of putting ourselves in a better position financially and emotionally than if we had not invested in Bitcoin.
This is all correct, even though you started out your post seeming to say the opposite.

You’re romanticizing DCA as if it’s some kinda risk free wealth machine but guess what?, you’re wrong. DCA is just simply a sensible way to manage the risk that is associated with the market entry point for guys who have already made up their minds that they want to hold Bitcoin for a very long time and they are comfortable with how volatile it is. But make no mistake, it doesn’t eliminate the risks nor does it remotely make bitcoin’s purchase price irrelevant. And it certainly doesn’t guarantee a successful outcome. Let me make an illustration. Assuming someone is DCA’ing $500 into bitcoin every month for five years, they would definitely be avoiding the problem of putting in the entire $30,000 at a potentially unfavorable price point. That is the beauty of DCA. But then again if Bitcoin subsequently falls by 50%, their DCA strategy is not gonna protect them from that 50% decline and so their portfolio can most definitely still be significantly underwater, especially if they now need to sell during the downturn.

You have definitely pointed out some silly mistake most investors always do while investing in long term investment and thinking that investing in Bitcoin up to 2 to 3 years interval is long term investment and for me it doesn't look like a long term investment but a short term investment and even as investing in Bitcoin is not a guarantee for any investors to make profits, so for that reason of not knowing what Bitcoin will be within a decade, i would like to advice that an investor should invest beyond a decade and watch on how your Bitcoin investments grown without panicking if there is any fall in price and see what the outcome will be like at the end of your investments.
An investment is considered long term when you plan to hold it for at least 5 years, although some investors may not be patient enough to hold Thier Bitcoin for 5 years and they have every right to hold it as much as they can but they should try to hold it for at least 3-4 years, i believe if they continue investing in bitcoin for like 4 years definitely Thier Bitcoin portfolio can never be compared with that of a guy that only invest for 2 years, although it all depends on the amount they are investing with Because the amount they are using to make Thier Bitcoin purchase will determine the stash of bitcoin they will accumulate in 2-3 years, if a guy is putting $50 in his bitcoin investment every week in 2 years he will be looking at $5, 200 of which this is not enough, That is why anyone who intend to invest for long should try as much as they can to accumulate for 5 years or more because if they are consistently accumulating bitcoin for complete 5 years definitely they will get something bigger no matter how small Thier weekly or monthly Bitcoin purchase may be. Yes, it is important to be consistent in regular investment. But even if you keep it for five years, there is no guarantee that the investment will be successful because none of us can say for sure what the price of Bitcoin will be in the future. Therefore, instead of looking at five years as a guarantee of profit, it can be seen as a long-term investment period. When an investor buys Bitcoin regularly within his capacity, he does not have to try to catch the market at the lowest every time, which means he does not have to stop and if he continues the regular investment process, the amount of Bitcoin he has accumulated will naturally increase if he buys regularly. So, no matter how little you invest, you should not expect to achieve something big after five years. Surely, investing $ 50 a week and investing $ 500 will not have the same results. The amount of investment changes with changes in financial circumstances. So, investing regularly for a long time without going beyond your capacity and only aiming to reach a large amount will not put the investor's financial system at risk. Investing for five years or more offers the opportunity to accumulate more Bitcoin, but how successful the investment will be will depend on the future value and the investor's financial decisions.

I think you very correct on your point, the problem here is that people forget that consistent doesn't prove gain it just prove one more time to build one position without trying to outsmart to every move in the market the goal is investing what one can truly afford and remaining patient. Four years can produce a good opportunity but the outcome will always rely on the market and how really good one can handle his financial strength.

Maintaining consistency in monthly investments is crucial. However, as none of us can predict with certainty what the price of Bitcoin will be in the future, there is no assurance that the investment will be profitable even if you hold it for five years. Therefore, five years might be viewed as a long-term investment period rather than as a guaranty of return. When an investor purchases Bitcoin on a regular basis within his means, he does not have to stop trying to catch the market at its lowest point every time, and if he keeps up the regular investment process, the amount of Bitcoin he has amassed will inevitably rise.
So, regardless of how little money you invest, you shouldn't expect to see significant results beyond five years. Investing $50 each week versus $500 will undoubtedly yield different results. The quantity of investment varies with changing financial situations. So, investing regularly over a long period of time without exceeding your capacity and with the sole goal of accumulating a huge sum will not jeopardise the investor's financial system. Investing for five years or longer offers the possibility to acquire more Bitcoin; however, the success of the investment depends on the future value and the individual's economic actions.

You are sounding as though staying invested for a period of five years is something that is too much for an an investor to attain. if you sit back and just look at it before you delve into it, you might think that five years is a lot but if you have a set out plan as to what you hope to achieve before then, you will understand that five years might be too short to attain certain amount of bitcoin if you are not buying a lot at a time. As a matter of fact, you can easily project the quantity of bitcoin you must have gathered from now till five years time if you invest a set out amount from this time. considering the current economic reality and also considering that per time, you are going to invest only an amount you can afford while maintaining other aspect of your finance, staying invested for a period of five years might just be a period through which you successfully build your investment foundation. i have stayed invested close to that period and looking at how far i have come and he fact that i don't seems to have reached where i want to see myself, i just agree to the fact that it is better to take my investment journey a step at a time without rushing and setting boundaries where there are none. to attain a good investment end is not something you rush into and just get it right, you are going to learn a lot of things along the way that will jointly make you stay invested longer than you expect.

What's your take on this? Given the period we're in is it buy time or sell time?
Judging from the reputation of Bitcoin over the year, I think there is no specific time to buy or sell Bitcoin, no matter the price at that moment, it all depends on your plan or should I say strategy This is why starting your Bitcoin journey without clear plan or strategy has cost many people alot painful lessons. What strategy are you talking about? There is no specific time to buy bitcoin because we can buy bitcoin anytime at all provided that we have our discretionary income and the DCA is the best strategy to use if you want to buy whenever, this is because what a person needs to start investing in bitcoin is their discretionary income and I would advise any newbie who whats to invest in bitcoin to use the DCA as their strategy of choice and to make sure they don't get tempted to invest outside of their discretionary income. Don’t you think he could be talking about other strategies, we have lump sum and buying the dip, actually there is no particular time to buy bitcoin, which is why the DCA is also there where we can buy bitcoin as much discretionary income that we have available, but there are people who also have some amount of money that want to buy in bulk through lump sum, which isn’t a bad strategy at all, what is a bad strategy is waiting for a dip before buying bitcoin, I think a newbie starting bitcoin investment should be well aware of starting with the DCA first of all, before starting to try other different techniques.

Fair enough, my reaction was due to the person being a newbie, newbies shouldn't be bothering themselves with the strategy to use, for them the most ideal strategy is the DCA (it's also the most ideal strategy for all bitcoin investors) so instead of trying to work out which strategy will work for a newbie they should just start using the DCA, there is no price or time tag on it, as long as they have their discretionary income they can start buying bitcoin from it, they can decide to use the other strategies if they are opportuned to use them but the DCA is the most newbie friendly investment strategy.

In trading whether you lack skill or not you will always float in loss but those that has skills will always know about risk management and so they can reduce the risk but that doesn't still mean they don't or won't make loss they will make loss but those who are professional there gain always surpass the loss in the long run that is what been profitable in trading is. Those who have been losing money in trading for years should stop trading now rather than wasting their time and capital. Instead of getting stuck in the same loop or facade over and over again in the name of relearning trading it is wiser to stop trading completely and focus on accumulating and holding Bitcoin. We need to understand the real power of Bitcoin is not in the temporary or fragile profits of trading but in its extraordinary ability to be a long term Store of Value. Rather than losing Bitcoin by trading the ultimate winning strategy is to accumulate and hold Bitcoin with a calm mind.

First trading not something that will guarantee you steady profits , it also guarantees losses too and most time traders tend to experience more losses than wins (those that lacks the right trading skill ). Trading is not an all green stuff the market are red sometimes , yes you can make money by trading for short term profit but the question is are you ready for the losses . Many always fixed their mind that trading is all about winning , easy way to make good money , which not totally right it takes time and serious dedication for one to master trading. In trading whether you lack skill or not you will always float in loss but those that has skills will always know about risk management and so they can reduce the risk but that doesn't still mean they don't or won't make loss they will make loss but those who are professional there gain always surpass the loss in the long run that is what been profitable in trading is. So if you are making loss and in the long time you cannot make profit that will be more than your loss then you are an unprofitable trader and I will suggest you either stop or relearn if you are interested. Above all, trading is very risky and you will mess yourself up if you are so emotional. There is nothing like professional traders because even those traders you are referring to as professional can still lose money that they can't be able to recover the loss. Trading is very risky and no matter how skillful or a trader is , it will not make them not to lose money. I think making profit from trading is purely based on luck and without luck no matter the level experience you may think you have you will only end up in losses. For someone that finds themselves in losses, the best decision is for them to quit trading even if they will it shouldn't be something that they should focus on.

2-3 years is not up to one cycle so any.investor that has that in mind is definitely not a long-term investor, 4-10 years and counting is refered to long-term. I understand that some folks think they can be smart by deceiving themselves all the time, I'm getting tired of hearing that profit is not guranteed in Bitcoin investment, athough I get the point but since we know the reocuring pattern of Bitcoin which has to do with rewarding those that patiently hodl for a long-term, it would have been better if we put the statement right, Bitcoin is not a short-term investment and for those who want to benefit from Bitcoin investment, there target should be long-term.

It wrong to advise people to learn trading because it's a road to losses and regrets in the long run and it's opposite to long term investment. This is why I don't like talking about trading to anyone because it's another form of gambling. This trade isn't a trading thread so, you should be careful with the way you are hyping trading and making profit with it because it's going to send a wrong message to newbies reading this thread. Bitcoin long investment should be our focus and use DCA to build and grow your bitcoin stash for your future. With trading, there's no future.
