Determining the direction of BTC bitcoi price is difficult - the price at any time can change at any time, it's better when the money is available then more just don't have to think about the price because the long-term investment goal is 10 years then all you have to do is buy and buy.
Because of the long-term goal --- it is certain that the price of bitcoin will be higher in the future so there is no need to worry about buying when the price of $100K or $120K is not too high but look in the future later maybe the price of bitcoin is never expected by you.
As Saylor said we will be all in on bitcoin by any means. My way is the DCA strategy.
Yeah you are correct Bitcoin has a great future and the price it is today won't be same in the future, so those newbies who are coming into bitcoin investment don't feel you came late because Bitcoin has not reached half of it's growth so you are still in the right track don't forget some years back Bitcoin price was not this correct amount it was low, let me take you back to the history of Bitcoin growth so you will understand that you are not late. When Bitcoin was introduced in 2009 it had no value and no price however it started growing little by little in price and in June 2011 Bitcoin hit $29 in 2012 it was $200 and in that same 2012 around November Bitcoin reached $732 this was how Bitcoin was growing little by little and those who where patient with it till November 2021 where so happy and those who didn't regretted because Bitcoin again reached an all-time high of $69k and that was how it was growing till this correct price which is $85k and from this current price it will reach a higher price so this is how Bitcoin will keep growing so you are not too late as newbie into Bitcoin investment, as a newbie all you have to do is to be consistent and patient and remember Bitcoin has not reached half of it growth. Well even though no one know what the future of Bitcoin would be like, but it's shown great potential of a bright future with it rank in the asset class and how the price has risen in the past years, including the height it's attained over time, those are enough reason for one to hope for a better future with Bitcoin even though we're yet to know what it would be like in the future so I totally agree that it has a great future. Well looking at the price of Bitcoin someone who's ignorant about it, especially someone that's not very wealthy would be scared concerning buying it cause they'll feel it's late since the price has gone higher but when they get to know and understand and even put what they've learnt to practice then they'll get to love Bitcoin the more, cause then they'll get to understand that investing in Bitcoin doesn't require a certain class of people.

.....Third, timing is also important. As the saying goes, time is gold. In investing, if the timing is wrong, even though we can still profit in the long term, in terms of time we lose so that often here emotional decisions play a role in making the wrong decisions.
Time in the market is better than trying to time the market.. Especially when it comes to bitcoin.. so just get started and stop trying to fuck around figuring out when you should start or if this is a good time or not. It takes a long time to build up a bitcoin investment.. 4-10 years or longer, so there is no need to be delaying.. and then also once you are investing, it may well be the case that you are goingto stay in longer than 10 years, so it is not going to matter very much if you started to buy at $60k, $80k, $100k or $120k. Sure, you get more bitcoin when you buy bitcoin at lower prices, but there is no way to know BTC's price direction in terms of if you will ever get bitcoin lower than today's current prices, so it is better to get started buying bitcoin, if you wanting to be serious about bitcoin.. rather than fucking around thinking about your entry point. That’s the thing most people don’t know that the more they are delaying the more they are reducing the chances to purchase in a cheaper price , I know that even when bitcoin hit the price range of $150k is still early , compare to the potential but I’m possesses, but buying now will give some advantages which buying at cheaper rate because the rate of you buying at $100k+ is far different from you buying at the rate of $80+ so start now will give you such advantages. That’s reason why bitcoin is experiencing some dip I don’t feel bad neither do I feel any fear rather I get myself some cool funds to get the buying the dip going , and taking advantage of the market conditions in any way I can .

Buy buy buy, regardless of the price as long as you can afford it, investors waiting solely for a dip to buy aren't real investors, they are more traders than investors, this is because a trader would want to make profit as quickly as possible, naturally an investor wantieto make profit as quickly as possible too isn't necessarily wrong but they also consider the long term gain to be made, traders don't consider this, they are all about what to get out of the business now not what they will get from it later. Those who buy when the price is falling are also good even if you call them traders. You also don't forget that they will be worthy of being called investors who are playing a strategy in getting Bitcoin in large quantities when the price is falling so that when the price has increased they can buy in small amounts. If accumulated, then they are the winners. At first glance there is no difference between traders and Bitcoin investors. Traders buy at a decline will sell at a rising price and from the profits obtained can be prepared to buy again later. At first glance there is a major difference between traders and investors, while a trader hold their assets for short term and investors hold their assets for long term and of course it is a major difference between the both, there is no smartness in buying Bitcoin when in decline in order to sell when the price rises with the notion of buying back again, even though anyone can do whatever they like but it is a bitter truth that Bitcoin is a coin that is best appreciated over a long term, chasing a few dollar profit can not and will never be compared to allowing our asset to have a compounded value over a long period of time time. Selling to buy back can be easier said than done because you can end up buying more higher than your selling point or probably be waiting for a dip that may never come. I will say an wise perspective on the difference between an investor and a trader particularly when it comes to bitcoin investment assets been a trader means holding unto an asset for a short period of time for short gains while been an investor means holding for a long period of time just as you have said, bitcoin is regardlesly appreciated for long term with it value potential. You should no that selling and buying back can be challenging and market fluctuations may not favour the trader, as an investor investing in bitcoin require slots of patience and discipline much always resist the temptation of trying to sell and not waiting for the dip season to accumulate and also not chasing the short term gains because as these traits are essential for achieving long term goals.

Wether you are a newbie investors or not, it's a terrible decision waiting for the dip before buying, because by doing so you might miss a whole lot of buying opportunities that may have comes along, which should have been properly utilized to add to your stash of Bitcoin, then along the line while accumulating if their is a serious dip in the market, it's best to accumulate aggressively only if you have the financial leverage to do so, but if you don't have such leverage, the best thing to do is to continue buying at your own pace without getting distracted by what's happening in the market.
So in essence of what am trying to say is that their is no point waiting for the price to dip before buying, you can still be buying, but if in the process the price dip, you might decide to buy aggressively only when you have the financial power to do so, but if you don't have such leverage, just continue buying at your own pace without stress.
First of all, I would like to say that if you write your statements a little more carefully, it will look nice. According to your statement, investors want to make quick profits. But I think that those who want to make such profits are not investors at all. There are many traders who claim to be investors. Many of them know that Bitcoin is a more reliable long-term investment. However, due to their patience, they often sell their investments to make profits. Because of this kind of behavior, they will never be successful investors. They will never get the fun and joy that Bitcoin investment has. I feel sorry for all those profit-hungry investors. Because they keep losing money again and again just because of their stupidity. Not really what I meant, but i see your point. Also patience is one among the many differences between an investor and a trader, investors have it in spares, traders have little to none of it, traders are also the ones making people lose interest I'm bitcoin when the strategy fails, they start trying to get others to lose with them by convincing them to not invest, naturally anyone who truly wants to invest wont have to listen to such obviously false information. If accumulated, then they are the winners. At first glance there is no difference between traders and Bitcoin investors. Traders buy at a decline will sell at a rising price and from the profits obtained can be prepared to buy again later. JP Buying solely when the price is low automatically disqualifies a person as an investor, only traders do this, a true investor won't wait for a dip to buy, they keep buying for as long as their investment strategy allows which can run into years, even decades, traders don't have the patient to wait that long, they are more into a get rich quick kind of strategy and the believe buying the dip and selling once the market becomes favourable is the way to go, which is very wrong. The differences between investors and traders are not so small that that they can't be seen quickly, investors are thinking long term, traders are thinking short term, investors are patient, willing to wait for years, traders lack this patience, they want to make profit as quickly as possible, investors u understand that the bitcoin market is volatile and are not easily shaken by price changes, traders react to the slightest change in prices. There are so many differences between the two for you to say their differences aren't obvious enough to see at first glance. They are obvious st first glance.

Personally, it seems that you have the right mindset to be thinking long term, and it seems to me that there are going to be so many folks who are going to realize that they heard about bitcoin and they had opportunities to buy even in our price range of $80k to $120k, and they will realize that they cannot get bitcoin at those same prices, and they could have been spending time stocking up their sats rather than not doing anything, and surely there are also some who are going to regret their having had been trying to trade bitcoin rather than staying focused on ongoing, persistent, consistent, regular and perhaps even aggressive buying of it. Many of us likely recall in 2023 how we spent so much time in the $20ks, and that is not even that long ago, yet right now, I doubt that there are very many folks who are in any way educated about bitcoin who believe that we are going to back to having any abilities to buy bitcoin in the $20ks, and we were in those sub $30k prices for well over a year and a half, if we also count the time in 2022 that we were there. When we were in the $20ks during that time, there were quite a few folks fantasizing about sub $10k, and surely many of us realized that the sub $10k train had already left the station.. and in 2018, 2019 and even into 2020, there were so many folks fantasizing about going back to $1k and $2k prices, which also ended up being fantasy prices - and the story repeats, and there are even more historical examples of similar phenomena in which low coiners and no coiners are fantasizing about lower prices rather than doing what they can to consistently, persistently and ongoingly stack sats.

1) Self-Custody is a right. Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted." 2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized. 3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

Is not wrong when you have the capacity to make it happen for the profit to come quickly, but if you want to earn big profits from BTC hodling , make sure you know how to hodl for long years before you can sell and you will be very happy with what you will see at the end. Those that have the knowledge of BTC hodling will not seek for quick money from BTC because the money will not come quick, but if they understand how to be patient in their hodling during the bear run not to sell than to continue hodling BTC, they will achieve what they want from the bull run. Many investors will not like to embark on short time hodling, because they know it will not profit them like the way long time hodling will profit them in the future.

I find your post problematic and misleading because you seem to be okay with an investor selling his bitcoin he bought in a dip for quick profit once bitcoin price goes high. It seems you are saying things based on how you understand bitcoin investment, but let me enlighten you more how bitcoin long-term investment works so that you can change your mindset and focus only on your long-term vision. Even though you see little profit on your portfolio when you are still accumulating bitcoin with a long-term vision, once you get distracted by quick profit and you decide to sell your portfolio for quick profit, that has automatically turned you into a trader because you don't hold your portfolio for 4 years.

Am not that surprised by your statement here because it's coming from a newbie, but that is not an excuse for not learning, am talking about the bold words in your statement. You have been in this forum for about four months now but you have fail to learn and understand that selling for minimal gains as an investor makes you short sighted because you are selling for a profit that wouldn't have any significant impact on your finances, unlike when you buy and hold for like three circles or more. Lastly, when it comes to holding and what we perceive as long term, it might be interpreted in different ways by anyone, but I believe that the ideal timeframe to term your investment as a long term investment is from three circles upward, even though I believe that most people might have different opinion, but holding just for a circle is actually not long term in my own point of view.

Anyone who wants to venture into bitcoin should look at the long run, one should know it's an investment and investments are for the future, you shouldn't be bothered about the current price of bitcoin if u want to invest and targeting to make reasonable profit out of your investment because bitcoin definitely has a great potential for the future. We have seen how it has grown from nothing to the price it's now and it won't even stop rising so everyone should just target the future. If you're a bitcoin trader that buys when the price drops and sell when it rises you should also be able to make long term plans too you can buy and sell, you should also buy to hold too because no one can predict the market.

You are right, no one knows for sure what bitcoin will be like in the future. Because basically the future is certainly something that cannot be predicted with certainty. But if people who don't like bitcoin say that the future of bitcoin is very doubtful, I think people who say that have never thought realistically. Because in reality any investment asset in the world does not have 100% certainty that it will continue to exist and will continue to survive in this world. But all investors in this world are convinced by the analysis that looks logical and finally they believe. Likewise with bitcoin, if we look at its potential, bitcoin should continue to experience significant progress. But we don't know what the future holds. So it is indeed uncertain. But as an intelligent human being and given reason, I think it would be very inappropriate if I didn't invest in bitcoin. Because when compared to other assets, I think bitcoin is superior. Then talking about the future, we shouldn't be too obsessed and worried about this. Because we only run and invest well. And the matter of the results, I think that's a later matter. So if we have cold money right now, I think investing in bitcoin is a very appropriate action.

.....Third, timing is also important.
Well, while the best time to buy bitcoin may be now, every time within a certain investment frame is also okay. While there's no evidence that the price of bitcoin will be lower today than tomorrow, there's every evidence that if the adoption of bitcoin increases with time, there's it will be certain that bitcoin price will increase by a huge percentage within the next 10years. While I will not want to pressure people who currently don't have extra income to buy today - which would have being the best choice, I can assure them of the chances of making a huge profit when they buy tomorrow as long as they have a long term plan/vision. Bitcoin future has never being more certain than now. As long as we have tact investors who wouldn't allow little price fluctuation to deter them, we are certain of a mouth-watering return on our investment in the not-too-far future. Your attitude towards bitcoin as an investor will go a long way to determine the future of the coin.

Those who buy and sell bitcoin are traders and not investors and investor will reap from his long time investment because his bought good size of bitcoin to his portfolio while trader will run at big loss.

I've figured out that people try to implement strategies used for trading on bitcoin investment but the sad truth that most of them don't know is that it doesn't work that way for one to maintain a healthy investment on bitcoin and profit more in the future you must hold for atleast 4-10 years. Traders claim they're risk takers, well they should keep up with it since it's their problem anyways but instead of risking my money on something I might regret doing in the future I'll rather focus on bitcoin that only requires patience then invest what I can afford on a weekly or monthly basis depending on the income I generate, that's a more calculated risk that would be more beneficial in the future and even better than trading.

There is a level you will accumulate bitcoin; you will make use of different methods of bitcoin investment, so it is not all investors buying the dip are traders; some are long-term investors who have decided to make use of buy the dip method in accumulating bitcoin. If a bitcoin investor wants to make quick profit from bitcoin, he isn't an investor because he hasn't held his bitcoin for one cycle to indicate he is a long-term investor, and don't allow yourself to be deceived that someone who wants to make quick profit from bitcoin is an investor. I said an investor wanting to make quick profit isn't necessarily wrong, this is not to say investors are after quick profit, everyone who decides to invest in bitcoin should already know that Bitcoin's profits come on the long term not short term, let's say an investor buy the dip shortly before he reaches his planned portfolio and then the price goes up, at that point the investor may have made short term profit, but that doesn't mean the investor entered bitcoin investment for that short tern profit, NO they we're already on a long term investment with the DCA probably being their initial investment strategy, the profit made from buying the dip was just an extra. Expecting to make a profit from Bitcoin initially may be a bad decision. There should be at least one cycle of Bitcoin accumulation before Bitcoin investment is ready. The same road should be followed for the next few years so that your allocation for Bitcoin deposit does not decrease. I think you are in the right knowledge for Bitcoin in the long term. Suppose you are a new investor in Bitcoin, your objective should be to buy regardless of the price. If you are looking for DIP initially based on little knowledge, then you may have doubts about whether you can hold Bitcoin for the long term. Buying Bitcoin at dips will add more Bitcoins but ultimately you should continue to deposit regularly.

Well I was just trying to put it in a simple way, but a short term trader of bitcoin will surely trade at loss because it's certain that bitcoin has definitely cemented it's place it doesn't matter if it's falling now we all know that sooner it's going to go higher. I can only advice everyone to invest and hold the future will definitely be beneficial. Thanks for observing too

You cannot decide to trade bitcoin without learning the required skills that will aid you in knowing how to trade bitcoin, and if you learn the skills, there is no guarantee you will succeed in trading bitcoin. If you want to trade bitcoin and accumulate bitcoin with a long-term vision at the same time, you are gambling with your bitcoin. When you lose your trade, you will be open to selling your long-term bitcoin to continue to live. But if you only invest in bitcoin with a long-term vision, you won't be open to selling your bitcoin, so it is wise to only invest in bitcoin with a long-term vision if you want to succeed in bitcoin investment.

Read that again before you react to it. An investor has a 10 years investment plan, 8 or 9 years into this plan a dip happens, and the investor bought the dip aggressively, The 10 years plan is at it end and the price of bitcoin skyrocket and the investor sells part of his shares, say 10%-20% (understand that this is still within his original 10 year plan, not 6 years short) The investor is selling not because of the short profit to be made, but because this is his original investment plan, and since he sold not too long after buying the dip, some of the profit can be considered to be short term.

Please read the top comment and stop misunderstanding me, I didn't say anything about hodling for 4 years
