Yes, if we're talking about when our Bitcoin investment is already underway, an emergency fund and a reserve fund are definitely necessary, or should be started. This is because, fundamentally, this plays a crucial role in the sustainability of our investment and our security. We never know when unforeseen events will occur. Therefore, an emergency fund is absolutely essential. However, in the initial investment phase, or before investing in Bitcoin, we aren't required to have an emergency fund.
In my opinion, having an emergency fund is essential right from the start of your investment journey—or even before you begin—because we never know what life might throw at us; therefore, it is best to pair any BTC purchase with an emergency fund.
If you start investing without an emergency fund and something unexpected happens, you might well be forced to sell the BTC you just bought.
This makes it easier for us to invest in Bitcoin because the fund will always be something that can save us when our position and situation are under pressure. However when we have this fund I think all the problems we experience will be easier and more practical to solve. It also aims to avoid touching what we have already accumulated for example, problems related to debt before investing by borrowing money as our initial capital to purchase Bitcoin for investment.

So before we take out a loan, we already have an emergency fund, but we take out the loan as additional capital for us to invest so that with the profit from investing of course we will pay off the loan with the emergency fund that we have and we don't need to sell the assets that we already have even in the form of Bitcoin but that is our purpose in having an emergency fund before starting a Bitcoin investment and that is a little opinion in my opinion.

I cannot agree with you on this at all and you are indulging in gambling. As you said, if a person invests with debt, he will definitely face loss and he is at great risk.

The Bitcoin market is very volatile and no one can say what will happen in the market when and you face an emergency situation during the market decline and then if you face your emergency situation with emergency funds then how will you repay your debt. Investment is long term like investment period of 4 to 10 years. During this time if you invest with debt and depend on Bitcoin to repay the debt then what will you do if the Bitcoin market is below your purchase price at that time.

You can invest with debt if you want but you cannot depend on your Bitcoin to repay the debt rather you can take a loan depending on your financial situation and if you can afford to repay the debt then you can definitely invest with debt.

It is true that an emergency fund plays an important role in protecting your Bitcoin investment in the long term. An emergency fund can protect you from the pressure to sell your Bitcoin in the event of a sudden financial crisis.
However having an emergency fund does not mean that it is now safe to take out a loan to buy Bitcoin. In my view these are two completely different things. The purpose of an emergency fund is to reduce financial risk But taking out a loan means taking on a new financial responsibility. No matter what the market conditions are you have to repay this loan on time according to the agreement.
Another thing is that i do not think it is right to base any financial plan on the assumption that Bitcoin will make a profit in the future and that the loan can be paid off with that profit. While the price of Bitcoin is likely to increase in the long term, no one can say for sure when or by how much. So it is better not to have a plan that depends on future price increases which can create unnecessary risks.
in my opinion the safest path is to build a strong emergency fund first, then deposit Bitcoin regularly from discretionary income only. this may slow down the savings rate a bit, but the plan will be realistic and will allow you to survive in the market for a long time, whether in good or bad market conditions.

When you think about it, investing in BTC isn't complicated; it simply involves buying and holding for the long term—using discretionary income, of course While basic knowledge is necessary, it is easy to acquire and doesn't require a significant amount of time. The most important thing is the ability to hold BTC for the long term; failing to do so carries high risk, and many investors have suffered losses by selling below their purchase price That said, having an emergency fund and a reserve fund is essential when investing in BTC

I think having a steady income and proper planning can help you invest easily in bitcoin. You definitely need a steady income to be able to make plans. When you have a steady income and you don't spend above your means, it will be very easy for you to achieve your plan, because you can easily take out your emergency funds, reserve fund, discretionary funds etc. With this proper plan you can set goals on the amount of bitcoin you want to purchase at a particular time, then you hold it for a very long time, and hopefully you will definitely make profit in your bitcoin investment.

This is the problem people have. They will not not want to buy when the price is low but later want to buy when the price is high. The safest coin to buy right now is bitcoin. If you buy it, it is better not to be checking your wallet balance in dollars. Just leave the coin and be expecting bitcoin to get to $100000. Because the price is falling, some people will panic and sell just like what happened yesterday. Do not do that. Do not sell if you buy even now.

That true this is how many people lose out in the market, they refuse to buy when price are low, but rash in when price are much higher.

Right now, bitcoin remain of the strongest Long term assist to hold. If you decide to buy don keep checking wallet balance in dollar everyday shorts term price swin trigger unnecessarily fear.
Instead, focus on the long term goal. If your target is $100,000 per Bitcoin give your investment to grow.

When the price dropped, many people panic and sell just like we saw yesterday. But if your investment thesis hasn't changed, don let temporary volatility push you into making emotional decision.buy with a long term mindset, stay patient and avoid panic selling.

A lot of folks focus on investing but forget that a strong financial foundation comes first, having a steady income managing expenses and planning properly can makes investment less stressful and more sustainable. Bitcoin and other investment should be approach with patience and long term mindset rather than rushing in without a plan. A good financial plan is the foundation of any successful investment journey its important to take care of one basic needs., building reserves and only invest what one can afford to hold for long period.

Everyone is aware of the long term risk and reward of Bitcoin. I assume you mean this when you mentioned the strong financial foundation. Why bring in basic necessities when your primary goal is long term investment? your strategy is ok .

You are actually correct, when you want to invest in Bitcoin you need to have a good financial foundation just like you said, if you don't have a good financial foundation you cannot succeed in Bitcoin investment, one of the reasons why people find it difficult to succeed in Bitcoin investment is because they don't have a good financial foundation, the good financial foundation you should have is, having a good and strong backup fund's which is emergency, reserve and float fund's and also having a good source of income, if you have this in place your bitcoin investment will be a success.

Good financial foundation you say? Then what happened to the discretionary funds, isn't that enough preparation to get started when investing in Bitcoin investment? However, it's very important we get this things straight to avoid mixing up things or putting newbies into a confused state. That said, we don't need to be very rich before getting started, all that is required to kick start a Bitcoin investment journey is  just to be able to figured out our discretionary funds out from our earnings, once this is successfully executed everything is settled.

Furthermore, in as much as we are venturing in to a long term Bitcoin investment plan, it's very certain that unexpected problem or matters arises can show up at any given anytime, therefore setting up an emergency funds to aid up our investment become inevitable, however by putting this in place it will help in attending to those unforeseen challenges we normally encounter in our investment journey without been forced to use from our holdings, think about it.

How many times has it been repeated over and over again that you don't need to build your emergency funds first, before starting your bitcoin investment. The moment your discretionary income is available is best to be a low coiner immediately, that remaining a no coiner all because you feel setting up an emergency funds of three months of your income is prior to your bitcoin investment.

Since, you don't have any backup funds before having the interest to invest into bitcoin, it's better to start your bitcoin investment right away and build your emergency funds simultaneously with your bitcoin investment overtime till your emergency funds have reached at least three months of your monthly expenses because there's need to balance your bitcoin investment and your emergency funds as you have started your bitcoin investment.

What you should do is to divide your discretionary income into three parts, 1/3 for your weekly DCA, 1/3 for building your emergency funds and the last 1/3 for your discretionary consumption.

What you should do is to divide

Financial base refers to a source from which we get income. Many people get income but cannot find extra money that they can use for investment. So even if there is income, if there is no money to invest, then it is not possible to invest. So if someone is sure that after meeting his necessary expenses, he has a reasonable income that he can use for investment, then he can start investing. And no matter how small the amount of reasonable income is, there is no problem. Small amount is not a barrier to investment. So if there is reasonable income, then one should start without delay and increase the amount over time.

I want to tell you that there's no money that cannot be invested despite the amount of money you receive as weekly or monthly income you can invest it if you wish and the plan to invest the money, so if you plan to invest the money you can cut down your expenses so that you can invest as a little as you can

there is no amount of money that you earn that to make you to be satisfied and also make you to invest after spending, you can invest when you arrange yourself very well and also when you look at yourself and bring down your budget, so there is some people that will earn amount of money that you think that is too small for you monthly they will bring out money to invest because everybody is not living the same kind of life and everybody is not spending the same, that is why you see some people earning the same amount of salary some of them will be rich and the some will not be rich it is because some people deny their self something they need.

Buying Bitcoin with a loan does not become completely safe only if you have the ability to repay the loan. Because you may have a good income today, but your job, business or family situation may change next month. Then where will you pay the fixed liability of that loan? The loan itself is not a part of discretionary income. Rather, the loan is a part of your potential discretionary income in the future, which may or may not come in the future. Because the situation is not always the same.

You yourself said in your statement that the Bitcoin market is very volatile and no one can say when what will happen in the market. If you lose your ability to repay after taking a loan and face a big decline, you may be forced to sell. So it has become quite difficult to recommend buying Bitcoin with a loan, but it is not completely unreasonable.

I think one should mostly focus on sustainability before investing properly in Bitcoin using discretionary income. Why do I say sustainability? Someone can have a decent income and still be unable to do DCA or have some kind of discretionary income to invest. He or she might have a financial leak that eats up their funds. Until one finds that leak and address it then investing in Bitcoin becomes easy. The main is here is to stay consistent in it once one has started. Whether inflation or any other matters arises. Consistency is the ultimate.

If you are investing in bitcoin without considering your basic needs then how do you know that you are truly investing with your discretionary fund, you might have forgotten but bitcoin investment should not be done outside of a person's discretionary fund so when ever a person wants to invest in bitcoin they definitely have to consider their basic necessities because if those haven't been taken care of them they are still unsure about their discretionary fund and if they are still unsure about their discretionary funds then they won't be able to accumulate bitcoin and this is why whenever someone wants to invest in bitcoin they first have to figure out their discretionary income.

You are setting the standard too high @gracreavix.

You do not need a steady income to get started buying bitcoin, since all you need is the availability of discretionary funds.

You are correct that if a person is going to continue to buy bitcoin every week, then every week they have to make sure that they have availability of discretionary funds, and if they have unsteady income and/or unsteady expenses, then they might find themselves in a place that they don't have enough income to cover their expenses, and then if they end up depleting all of their back up funds to cover their basic expenses, then they will next have to tap into their bitcoin holdings, which is not a good place to be.

So, sure there is a preference to get a steady income in order to be able to both continue to buy bitcoin and to be able to hold onto whatever bitcoin had been accumulated up to any point in time, yet at the same time, it is not required to have a steady income in order to get started buying bitcoin.

In other words, newbie bitcoin investors have to use their best judgement in regards to whether they have discretionary funds available and whether they want to get started buying bitcoin, and they also might need to use their best judgement to figure out the extent to which they are going have future income (or be able to secure future income) so that they are going to be able to pay for their future expenses so that they will not have to sell the bitcoin that they had already bought.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

Taking out debt to invest in Bitcoin is too extreme. So, even if you're interested in investing in Bitcoin, if you don't have discretionary funds, I don't think you should force yourself to invest with borrowed money. It's inherently risky and will certainly make you uneasy. The bottom line is, don't do that, because we want to invest comfortably. If we don't invest comfortably in Bitcoin,, how can we hold Bitcoin for 10 years? I think that would be very difficult.

Furthermore, if we can, for example, repay the loan using our salary, I think that's still risky. What if our job has problems and we can't repay the debt? That's certainly going to be a problem again. Therefore, I don't think we need to do things like this to invest in Bitcoin. It's better to be patient and work on increasing our income so that we can eventually have discretionary funds. Because with continuously increasing income and continuously reducing expenses, discretionary funds will definitely be collected.

Why are you saying it as if everyone who didn’t buy bitcoin during a Dip did not buy it because they were afraid?

What if they didn’t have any discretionary income to use at that point in time?
What if the person had already deployed the capital they set aside for investing?

Look you need to understand that having a consistent accumulation plan is a more practical approach than assuming that you will always be able to buy bitcoin when the price is low.

Even your assumption that every investor is investing in bitcoin based on specific price target is an arbitrary assumption.
Most investors don’t even give a fuck about price targets, they just wanna accumulate and increase their bitcoin ownership over time.

And the reference you made in your statement about how checking wallet balance can trigger unnecessary fear in an investor if a short term price swing happens. Perhaps this may be true to an extent but I don’t think that it is the main problem.

The main problem is when an investor is too emotionally attached to short term price swings, that is when they will get triggered and make bad decisions. Not by just simply being aware of the balance of their wallet.

You should understand that there’s a difference between monitoring your portfolio responsibly and constantly refreshing the app and panicking whenever bitcoin price moves in an unexpected way.

I think one should mostly focus on sustainability before investing properly in Bitcoin using discretionary income. Why do I say sustainability? Someone can have a decent income and still be unable to do DCA or have some kind of discretionary income to invest. He or she might have a financial leak that eats up their funds. With that you say it meneggarah on money management, someone who already has income or salary should be able to manage their finances well with the first step is to meet the needs and after that there are discretionary funds that can be used to invest and I believe there are people who are bad money management so even if he has income it can not make him make an investment but on the other hand when someone is interested in something then he will do it like investing for example, even people who have no income can do it if they already have the intention.

If an investor has already made a strong mental decision that he will accumulate Bitcoin with a calm mind for the next 4 to 10 years. Then the temporary fluctuations of the candle will not worry him much. But if he enters the market without a proper plan every big fluctuation in the chart becomes a trap for making wrong decisions. Today he may be greedy and buy at a high price then tomorrow he will be afraid and sell at a loss and get out.
In my view long-term investment does not mean just sitting patiently but being strictly honest with your financial plan. The market will change constantly, that is its nature. But if you have the amount of DCA Discretionary income and emergency fund balance properly arranged then you will not have to worry about every small and big price fluctuation.
To me that the greatest strength of a Bitcoin investor is not in predicting the market or being able to predict the future, but in creating a practical plan that will ensure that no matter where the market goes, your financial stability will not be compromised. In the long run it is this kind of discipline that turns an ordinary person into a truly successful investor

Don’t you think that’s a bit much before investing. Focusing on sustainability might create many excuses or doubts in an investor who hasn’t started investing. But once you’ve started your investment it makes you want to know more and be on your toes for everything that’ll keep you going.

The goal is to be consistent while accumulating bitcoin but if you start with focusing on sustainability, it’ll delay you starting your investment, it’s just like saying build an emergency fund before starting.
All these are good criteria to focus on but not before you start. You can start small and grow your focus and learning.
Don’t be outside and try to gather all the sustainability plans and emergency funds before starting, get your foot in first.
