Just for discussions and ways to educate or share knowledge with ourselves when and how to draw the line when gambling,  because for some reasons, some gamblers have arrived at unstable realities because of the lack of stoppage time while gambling so let's talk.
When do you stop?
Some stop gambling immediately the record a big lose, while others continues when they lose with hope of recovering.
Some other gamblers stop playing when the win they first few games, while other continue to chase the loses, and technically ww can tell in accuracy when this things happens, but when is the best time to stop gambling and take a break?

1-when you lose?
2- when you win?
Before you quit gambling you most have one or two reasons, so people who quit in gambling quit because of age or they quit they have realized how much they have spent in gambling so therefore to quit in gambling doesn't have any limitation and I believe that is why when some people want to quit they have to notify anyone, someone who win gambling can also quit when the have calculated plus and minus of what it has spent so far gambling, that's is why we  don't need to waste much time when we calculated our benefits in gambling and our loss in gambling

People have various reasons for quitting gambling. most of those are personal realization of spending habits and reaching a certain stage in life where priorities shift. Quitting gambling indeed doesn't have a predefined limitation. Many gamblers quit because they stem from a realization of the financial toll it has taken that makes them need to reassess priorities and a desire to regain control over their finances. Others may choose to step away from gambling as they age while recognizing that their priorities and interests have evolved over time.

Gamblers who have experienced both wins and losses may reach a point where they weigh the benefits against the drawbacks and decide that the risks outweigh the rewards. This introspection and evaluation of the costs and benefits are essential in making informed decisions about continuing or quitting gambling. Taking proactive steps to quit gambling can lead to positive outcomes, whether it's reclaiming financial stability, prioritizing other aspects of life, or simply safeguarding their well-being. People have to be mindful of experiences and make decisions that align with the long-term goals and values.

1-when you lose?
2- when you win?
who really gonna stop going when he or she is getting a win. You see that's the hard part, you don't see people leaving under any  winning circumstance, the best time to see a gambler realize is time to leave is when the losing's start coming in on each bet. I'll like to say the reasonable time to draw the line (stead of calling it the best time)  is when you are just about to get beyond your bankroll. At that point never had himk of chasing the losses it's a waste of time as more losses would follow doing that.
That's true and with all my gambling time, I don't think I have ever ended a session when the winnings are coming. The urge to stop always come when the losses starts coming and that's why it's always important to take note of when you are losing and when you are winning because some gamblers do forget themselves and start chasing their loses forgetting that they can get all dried in trying to win back the funds that they have already lost.

I'd say figuring out when to call it quits sorta depends on your situation.  If money's tight, maybe pack it in after losing more than you wanted to spend that day and  other times you're on a hot streak and start thinking man Im unstoppable!, but that greed'll bite ya if you're not careful.  Take those winnings and run! Emotions definitely come into play too - if you're feeling bummed out or frustrated, better stop before you make dumb plays tryna chase losses or go for that one last big score.  The key things are knowing your limits money-wise and headspace-wise.  Listen to your gut so you can come back with a level head and some cash left in your wallet! But for real aint no universal right answer, just gotta figure out what makes sense for you in the moment.

At that point never had himk of chasing the losses it's a waste of time as more losses would follow doing that.

The moment a gambler begins to go against his strategy, he needs to stop. When participating in gambling, a lack of control yields failure or losses. Nobody cares about the win or loss, as a factor that determines when to stop or not. Because whenever we wager money, one of them appears. If a player is reliant on that factor, then he wouldn't gamble for a long time. One may wager twice and lose, then stop. That doesn't define some satisfactory measures of gambling. Players have unique purposes or realities that help them to stop a gambling session.

It could be a lack of funds, as you said. The money is almost exhausted and the player is still under control to respect his financial status not to get dried up. He'll have a rethink. Other factors may include, excessive losses. Playing for a long period or even when chasing loss and no wins erupts the player can get bored. Although the casino knows about this and periodically provides those wins to keep the player in line to continue gambling. But if a gambler decides to stop after winning, then he has the intention of spending the money on other things other than gambling. However, in the long run, he'd still gamble with his money earned from other sources, that's not gambling. Therefore the house still benefits.

Kind of a tricky question because every answer that will be given by everybody is right depending on what's work for us. If I stop because I am losing, that's right. And if I stop because I am winning, that's also right.

But going ahead first with winning, most of us don't really stop when we're winning because we're utilizing the maximum luck that we're having until we run out of it.

And as for losing, the same scenario as well that many gamblers don't tend to stop when they're losing because they've got the goal of claiming back the losses and so on. The same thoughts and stories that we hear from most of the gamblers.

A line must drown when you are losing or making profits this doesn't show or indicate as responsible gambler, naturally as a responsible when play gambling within to 1 hrs to 2hrs you should be able to know your deadline by leaving the casino house or gambling site otherwise you might be soiling the responsible gambling character in you. Hence as a gambler set a limits for yourself and when time is reached then you go off from the site and whatever place you are thinking of making more profits, what i noticed mostly about some gambler's is that they are trying to make a proven records where none has broken show records before by pinning down themselves into gambling to make sure they makes fortunes from gambling without knowing they are sinking into addiction properly.

Yes it is because you are carried away by an atmosphere of excitement based on hope that in the end you think of continuing the game and instead of cashing out but you instead apply the act of greed by putting all the winning money in large amounts to return to gambling, I think most gamblers experience the same scenario where they find it difficult to ignore the very exciting situation to make a decision to cash out, because most likely what is in mind is "this is my lucky time and I must take advantage of it", when it is a fact that the possibility of defeat will still continue to lurk you.

In gambling all results at the end of the session usually tend to be more often different, or in the sense that it does not mean that you now win and then in the next session you will be able to win again, luck can not always be predicted when it comes and when it goes so you will not know if the luck is still there or has already left, which means applying greed will usually lead to greater disappointment because you basically lose the money you have previously won. This is why we as gamblers should always avoid greed, not that you won't be able to win big but the problem is that it is very difficult to accept the fact that you lost all the money that you had previously won and this situation triggers a lot of out of control actions due to dominating emotions that eventually most of them act to chase the winnings to restore something that has been lost which is actually unknown whether they will succeed or even worse, so anyway prevention is better than cure.

For me it is the both. Whenever I gamble, I usually lose few games and then stop after I have a lost x amount of money.
But when I win on some ocassions then I usually stop when the winning streak is over and I start losing the games.
So just when I lose 3 bets I stop gambling for the day and take whatever profits I end up with.

This is very difficult to answer but for me personally maybe the answer is 50:50, when I lose at that time I have to draw a line that might free or protect me from behaving in a way that is not in accordance with my wishes just by stopping. When I win, I will most likely want to try betting again with a small amount of money, just 1 game and then I will immediately go home to enjoy the winnings that I worked so hard to get because it is impossible to win consecutively. . but the time can be very long and difficult to find, only luck is on our side at that time.

I am impressed at your admittance towards winning, and I guess same consciousness is also there when you're losing as to know when to leave. In the aspect of loss chasing for a recovery it mainly occurs when the gambler would have gambled so much money that he ordinarily wouldn't spend to gamble and that pain of a feeling of losing such an irregular amount of cash drives them to chase for a recovery. You can hardly find gamblers that are keeping to their bankroll limit ever chasing losses it's rare.

Time management is the unsung hero of responsible gambling.  Setting limits on how much time you dedicate to gambling ensures it doesn't encroach on other aspects of your life.  Imagine a chef who meticulously schedules their cooking time, ensuring they don't neglect other responsibilities in the pursuit of culinary perfection.

Financial management is equally crucial.  Setting a budget for gambling, with clear boundaries between your "gambling money" and your everyday finances, is essential.  This creates a safety net, preventing gambling from jeopardizing your financial well-being.  Think of it like building a metaphorical fence around your garden – it allows you to enjoy the flowers within, while protecting your entire property.

Knowing when to stop is perhaps the most valuable skill of all.  Walking away after a win, or after reaching a predetermined loss limit, demonstrates self-control and prevents chasing elusive victories.  Imagine a successful investor who knows when to take profits, not letting greed cloud their judgment.

When you do make yourself having that kind of involvement with gambling then it would be always that wise that you should really be having that threshold line on which on the time that you do able to hit it then this is the time that you would really be considering out on completely stopping on which this is something an approach that you should have towards it.
Drawing a line or simply talks about moderation and control would really be something crucial if we do speak about gambling because if you cant be able to do such thing then you would
really be likely be messing up  your life because of gambling and this is something that you should really be avoiding in the first place.

Gamble on the amount on which you can afford to lose then you should really be just that fine. Dont make yourself that too impulsive when it comes to spending
just because you do hope that you can make constant money with gambling on which we know that this isnt something possible.

Exactly, you have a good approach to gambling and it's true that drawing the line at quitting applies in both winning and losing situations, it's a gambling activity which has the possibility of risk that will never stop if you don't stop it yourself, and as you say that when you lose a certain amount then obviously it's best to withdraw as quickly as possible and forget about it all, so I think it's advisable for anyone to limit their budget, for example $5 and when you lose and lose this amount then you should quit.

For myself, I usually gamble with a budget of $5 per session and if I lose then I will consider that the money I have lost is a payment for the game I have played, because this way I can minimize the emotions and feelings of losing money. The bottom line is that win or lose, quitting is still a very important action that all gamblers must have, because this is the only action that can save you from significant bad possibilities such as losing large amounts of money.

In my opinion, and I already saw someone talk about this, it's not about winning or losing, at the very least it's all about gauging yourself whether you're still able to go the distance and gamble more, or if you've had your fill and are already on the verge of breaking down. It's not about how many you've already won or lost, cause in most cases this oftentimes lead to sessions that are dragged out longer than they are supposed to be, and a gambler that's already down on his luck and exhausted through and through.

I oftentimes get my fill of gambling after getting three wins or three losses, and this didn't come naturally, I literally forced myself into building a discipline that would allow me to get to this state. I found this magic number out by listening to my body and my mind whenever I gamble. Back before this strict gambling regimen, oftentimes it would tell me if I already am good for the day, but since I'm very stubborn and I always end the day on a positive note, I do not listen to it and end up spending more than I am supposed to for the day, exhausting me physically, mentally, and of course financially.

This also inadvertently lead me to becoming a gambling addict for a while, and if not for my friends who caught on it early and myself who's willing to rehabilitate, I might've been a goner now. So yeah, do not base your boundaries on wins or losses, depend upon your body's ques if you want to stay afloat.

Quitting at the right time is a skill which not many have in gambling. We do need patience and self control so that we can quit at the right time.
To be honest, if we don't really have a budget for gambling then we can lose all our holdings.
Gambling can be so addictive that in the process of chasing losses and trying to recover the money lost, we lose all our money.

Yes it is true that not many people are able to do it, one of the reasons in my opinion is because they do not have the ability to accept the fact of losing when the situation is losing and also they are unable to ignore the situation of good luck when they are successful in getting a win and instead continue the game session without realizing that the luck is gone which ultimately makes them have to lose some of their winnings again, and I say that the conclusion is that those who find it difficult to stop are gamblers who come to make money and not just for fun.

Obviously gambling is an activity that can be very addictive and one of the reasons why this activity can be addictive is the opportunity to earn money which most people are deceived by what the "opportunity" means, I see most people think that gambling is a quick way to get rich or a place to solve financial problems, when in fact it is quite the opposite which if you come with the wrong understanding this place will actually cause a lot of financial problems like what is done by people who always try to chase losses when in fact that action will only make them experience more losses.

Alot of comments have pointed to that direction and view point that both in winning and in losing one need to draw a line along the line, this is to protect your overall gambling experience and to aid you into finishing on the positive note, unlike when you chase a particular direction which could possibly lead to loses or even going into debt just because you want to meet up with what you have lost already.
Although there are times that as a gambler the longer you chase a direction the better for you to make more profits most especially when you are gamble to make a profits or hit the jackpot, because quiting too early on your lucky day will only limits your overall total possible winnings.

The hope of quick money and the perception of gambling as a solution to financial problems can be deeply ingrained in the minds of some people. Some may experience short-term wins, the long-term outcome tends to favor the house. Chasing losses is a dangerous behavior that can exacerbate financial troubles rather than alleviate them. It's stupid to have a belief that continued gambling will eventually lead to recouping losses, because each bet is independent and carries the same risk of loss as the previous one.

This cycle of chasing losses can quickly spiral out of control that can result in significant financial harm. Gambling has to be done with a realistic understanding of the risks involved and to viewed primarily as a form of entertainment rather than a means of making money. If people can't apply responsible gambling practices, such as setting limits on time and money spent, they would be hard to mitigate the negative consequences associated with gambling addiction and protect themself from financial ruin.

but when is the best time to stop gambling and take a break?

1-when you lose?
2- when you win?

it is Win or Lose depend on the situation and your desire breaking .

E.g

Win - when you win significant amount that you believe is enough for you to consider leaving the table then better do so or else it will lose in the coming moment because luck will never stay on you long time.

Lose - When you believe that the capital is draining then better to take a break and continue after a while to try your luck once again.

for me this is the moment about when or where to have a break.
