I would counter this question with another to provoke some thought...  Where is the fun in life when you die at the end?  See?  Sometimes it isn't about the outcome, but the experience.  It's about the ride, as they say.  If you don't enjoy gambling when you lose, then you should probably look into investing instead of gambling, because apparently that's what you think you're doing.  Investing is great.  You get payouts and your stocks never disappear.  I'd say if you're in it to make money, try a brokerage instead of a casino.  You might like the outcome better.

Well it's sure easy to say it than actually doing it, when we say gambling is something that should be done for fun that's the simple truth but our human nature prevents us from understanding that gambling isn't all winning before it's fun, the loses , the wins , the high rush of adrenaline is all what makes it fun. For example I have a friend who works at the sea and is shield away from physical casino gambling because of his works and when he comes around he hits me up and tell me let's hang out and have fun and while at it lets lose some cash to gambling if possible and that's the fun thing there because he doesn't feel its a loss because the main purpose of this is to enjoy his time.

The thought that people gamble mostly for fun is false. But I think sometimes it's true.

People usually gamble to win money. And invest a lot of money in it. Sometimes they gain, sometimes they lose money. But I have some friends who don't gamble regularly. Many times when friends hang out they play various card games. And sometimes gamble with it. And they do it for fun. They do not bet very large amounts of money.

I think that poker is the only gambling that can be considered earnings. But, to be honest, it would be better to spend this time studying something else, for example, retrodrops.
