Anisimova held on to win the game; she played a veteran game. As a 10th-ranked player, but this is still a great year for Alex; it is by far his best performance. Hopefully she can cap it by winning another tournament.
I'm pretty sure she is a sure winner for the yearly Sportsman/woman of the Year; she shared the award with Carlos Yulo last year. She'll definitely get it, as she's getting better every year.

Oh ok, that is a grand slam tournament, and so she will be in the biggest stage of her career. I haven't check the bracket on where she was and the potential opponent she is going to face.
