Addiction could really only happen if you do just let it happen or something that you do tolerate even if you have been wary earlier. Its impossible that you cant really be able to determine that you are already spending up that much because

I agree with you that casino owners are not against people having a gambling addiction, I think it is very beneficial for them. They can tell people to play more responsibly and much more, but in reality it is beneficial for the owners to do this.

People get addicted to gambling because of high expectations of winnings that they haven't seen yet, but believe would come. This makes a lot of sense. I would not dare to try and give them advice about gambling addiction either, because like what you said, it's not very welcoming and that you also assume they are susceptible and incapable of taking care of themselves to keep their gambling habit at an healthy state. The guy has not even started or just started gambling and then you'd jump ahead of them and try to warn them about gambling addiction, that sounds really interfering their life decisions. 
IMO, as long as they enjoy gambling without struggling financially, we should not try to interfere and mind our own business.
