Recently I bought around 1000 dollars of litecoin (I sold 1000 dollars of my bitcoin for it) and I've already made a 20% gain. I decided to buy more LTC by selling the 690 dollars of shib bringing the grand total of my litecoin to 2000 dollars USD. Is this bad or does LTC have a future? I've seen a lot about how LTC has a possible ETF in the far future. I am a long holder (5 years at least) btw.

Selling all your Bitcoin to purchased altcoin is not a good ideal OP, because I know that if you hold your Bitcoin for five years you hold your LTC before you can sell,  I think the income you made from your LTC assume it is Bitcoin would have be more higher than that amount of income because many potential investors know what Bitcoin can bring in five years time. LTC is a good altcoin that has potential teams that is working every night and day to ensure they continue to increase the numbers of their investors by making them to always embrace favour from their investment. If you can continue with your long holding in your altcoins, I think it will help you to increase your income in another five years to come.

It's bad since you are a little shrimp but you buy litecoin which didn't have good volatility. If i were you then i will try to focus on RWA token which potentially to be the next trend since blackrock has announced its tokenized. It means that you will be massive companies to go through tokenization asset in the future.
Litecoin will not give you instant money and you needs to perform it even better. Think about that. The better if you are investing on the token which has lower marketcap compared to the litecoin. Just try to understand that if you are willing to get maximum profit and you shall take the risk.

LTC can be one of the coin in your portfolio but making it as your primary coin for long term isn't good choice, LTC didn't grow to it's potential and now there are lot of coins defeated the purpose of LTC's existence. It's good that you made profits but I recommend you to concentrate towards BTC for long term investment and altcoins only for short to mid term.

I am afraid this is one of many mistakes of a lot of people. Maybe They get too excited about a coin and suddenly want to maximize the amount of profit they can get but they tend to forget about the other end of the spectrum where they can easily lose the money they invested and the profit they’ve gained.

Well its his choice mate. Plus he isnt buying a cheap altcoin that could ruin his portfolio. We can give advise but the decision will always come from a user. Also like I did, Ive sold off some of my bitcoin for stablecoin purchade usde stable and put up and supply on ethena program. Now airdrop is knocking the door, probably with the hype surrounded it I could buy back that bitcoin I sold off plus the free stable I keep using to farm potential airdrop on round 2. You see theres diffetent preference which favors a user.

Yesterday you just told us that you are holding Litecoin and Shiba Inu and now you have choose another action to convert all your Shib into Litecoin and I hope you will never regret this act because Shiba Inu is one of the potentially to make another climb this near halving and after halving.

It is not a bad move but it is one I think it is a little premature, there is still a lot of room for bitcoin to grow, and during that time bitcoin will outperform most altcoins, so even if at during that time you were making profits in fiat, if you were to check how much litecoin you may need to buy the same amount of bitcoin, you will realize that you are in fact losing ground against bitcoin, so you will have to endure until the altcoin season finally starts and we see a reversal of that situation.

I don't know if you plan it for the long term from now on. I might just suggest that you look at market momentum as well. Bitcoin halving will happen, and we may see the impact immediately or even for a long time. no problem with your plans. but just try to look and take advantage of moments that might occur soon to gain profits.

Why choose slow performing litecoin than bitcoin? As we are approaching bitcoin halving for sure there's more to see from bitcoin itself. We can see how strong the current situation and even if the big event didn't came we already see it touch at ATH. So for sure there are lots of possibilities that bitcoin could able to pump more, but since that is your decision since you think your money is safe by putting it on litecoin then so be it since sometimes peace of mind is more worth than those possible big profits. but if you can able to do some more research then try to do it since its so helpful for investors if they can dig up some information's that important to see or to consider.

Any decision that involves selling shit meme coin to a project with real utility in crypto space is good. Litecoin is one of the OG blockchain in crypto that is hard fork on Bitcoin. Converting your asset from Shib which pump a lot already to Litecoin is a good move since  LTC still has a lot of potential to pump more in the future because this project is for long term unlike meme coin that doesn’t have an end goal.

Maybe focus on Ethereum if you are looking for forward for an ETF approval since it’s the closest project to receive an ETF. The rest will just follow when Eth ETF approved.

When we talk about LTC in particular it shown decent growth of about 20% in the last 1 months time frame but when we look at its 1 year price chart



The growth is very much stagnant so I don't have high hopes on it to give maximum profits even if we reach the peak of bull run when we compare it with Bitcoin or even some of the newly popped memecoins.

You did great. Shib doesn't have a history and it doesn't deserve its current spot. It is likely premined and when the early guys decide to dump their coins on you, it will never recover again. Litecoin on the other hand has a very organic user base and the worst has already happened. Its founder dumped his coins on us long time ago so you don't have to fear it. Have you seen the bitpay stats? Litecoin has been dominating it for months now. People use litecoin more than any other alt. According to my calculations, a fair price for a ltc is no less than $500. I still believe with LTC and I mostly use it for transfers but about it holding for long term, it's like a balancer of a portfolio to me. It doesn't fall a lot but it doesn't go up a lot too. So, if you think that it's a good addition to your portfolio then that's fine.

Op from the experience I have gotten from Ethereum which the second populated cryptocurrency in the ecosystem, it would have been better you stayed with bitcoin and not all these shitcoins and memecoins. The 5 years period of investing in the coin or the project is good but how sure are you that the coin will have value. First of all he may have misunderstood the memecoins market and how short term targeted their are and also for the fact that majority of them are just without any back up for liquidity provisions that will sustain their long term feature for that, any investment in them should not exceed an short term based.

Also being far and out of bitcoin I a big risk for any investors because the market is highly involving and at that you need to hold assets that have long term usability to sustain it presence, but at this point, there is no memecoin that presents such ecosystem for long term sustainability.

Litcoin is not a memecoin haha, also shib is definitely a memecoin but I didn't sell my btc for shib. I used $250 of my own money to buy it and it went to around 680.
