I have started a learn and earn program for my facebook group members, together with the cooperation of our other group admin and moderator. The purpose of the program is to make sure they are learning the crypto basic (totally bitcoin focused). I'm running out of ideas as we have planned to run the program for long. We are paying around $5-$10 per participants (with maximum cap per activity) in average.
I'm looking for some small ideas like running a full node, using lightning network, signing a message and more. Feel free to share your ideas here.

Maybe you could start a tutorial series with some essential wallet education? Explaining different wallet types - web wallets, self-custody wallets, hardware wallets... The difference between hot wallets (web and mobile) and cold storage (hardware and paper wallets). The importance of self-custody for Bitcoin. etc...

This is actually nice it would help to spread out knowledge, which may help them to understand more about Bitcoin and the whole crypto space. Those Ideas you have named are pretty good too and think you should start with something light in the learn and earn inorder encourage them more.  And you can Also focus on the security part of this space .

Why not tell them how to develop or build their own blockchain there is a guide that I know where you can learn them and you can build a DIY right away on different programming languages.

Also take note of web3 remember there are many blockchain games crypto related if you can give them a few sample games like Axie it would be easier for them to learn about web3 and NFTs.

You could also consider teaching them how to set up an air-gapped wallet because many of them might not be able to afford hardware wallets. They can also be exposed to cyber security and how to dictate phishing and scams. Maybe after they have learned the basics of Bitcoin, they can be introduced to the economics of the coin. They can be taught how to make some profit from trading or hodling Bitcoin. You could make the class student-centered by asking students to do their own research and come up with areas of Bitcoin they are interested in learning. Such topics could serve as part of the course outline and teaching content.

What's the goal for the participants? Do they want to "get rich quick", "earn money on the internet", or how to safely store Bitcoin after buying it? If it's the first two, I can't help them much. But if it's the latter, they don't need to learn a lot before they can start doing it. There's no need to install a full node for instance.

I think you need to differentiate the purpose to which each of the participants wants to learn. Some might just be interested in trying to get rich and we all know just having the basics can earn them that. While others might be interested in using it as a means of storing their money and you don’t need to go far with this one’s you will just have to teach them how to buy bitcoin, understand the terminologies, setting up their own wallet or possibly their own personal nodes. You can check this thread by Fillippone on how to teach an average joe about bitcoin. I will personally add this James loop resources among other resources listed above as it encompasses what you were looking for.

Best to make sure you shape the difficulty and topics of your program based on what your audience already knows.  That way they will stay interested and keep on learning instead of gettin bored or confused.  I would say the first thing ya gotta do is figure out who exactly you are talkin to.  Are they total newbies when it comes to Bitcoin, or do they kinda already know some basic stuff and are ready to get into the nitty gritty?  If they already got some baseline knowledge, you can jump into more complex stuff like how mining works or the technology behind the blockchain, but the key is tailoring it to their level.

I think he mentioned it is about the basics of blockchain and Bitcoin, and I don't think the ideas or concepts you have shared are anywhere near the "basic" category. You can't expect someone to develop and build their own blockchain for a maximum of $10 as a reward for learning the process no matter what programming language they are going to use. It's a lengthy process and someone who is in the learning process can't go that far.

A learn-and-earn program should consist of concepts and ideas that are very basic but are important for someone to know when they get into this industry such as how they can create and use a non-custodial wallet, how they can double-spend a transaction, how the blockchain works, etc. Such concepts will make them understand Bitcoin and its network more closely because they would research and study if there is some incentive attached to the process.

here is an idea:
teach your people that bitcoin does not leave the bitcoin network and people cant just add more units to bitcoin outside of the reward structure of blocks.. so when discussing LN(FACEPALM) ensure they learn LN is not bitcoin. LN is different and has its own niche services, functions, model.. dont try confusing people that LN is bitcoin. (same goes for other subnetworks that also peg/wrap and emulate bitcoin)(same goes for custodian services)

its also like CEX database, which is not bitcoin either.

other networks other systems dont have the same security model as the bitcoin blockchain. dont confuse people with foolish idea's that other systems are bitcoin or better then bitcoin

maybe you need to spend some time learning more about what bitcoin is before making posts about being "bitcoin focused" but then deviate within same post to mention other networks.

i assume your game play is to offer small awards for learning your versions of how you see things. and later hope people then pay you back somehow. like maybe you offer them portfolio fund management services or something?!

You could teach them about the different types of bitcoin address, that way they can realize if an address is valid for bitcoin or not.

Another one is to make them create/sign/broadcast a transaction with bitcoin-cli.

Explain how to RBF (replace by fee) and when they should use it.

Talk to them about mining, how to mine with a pool, how to solo mining, and the type of hardware for mining (the evolution of mining, from CPU to GPU to the new gen miners)

My idea is to teach those members about cold wallets and hot wallets because that's also a very important topic for the newbie learners of Bitcoin. Most of the new users often go with hot wallets, and when someone else gets access to their device then they get hacked and consider Bitcoin and crypto as scam. It's far better to educate such newbies about the cold and hot wallets so they could safely store their Bitcoin without any worries.

Another important thing I suggest you is to teach your group embers about custodial and personal wallets. Most of the new users keep their Bitcoin in custodial wallets and that's not a safe approach for holding Bitcoin. It's better to educate your group members about personal wallets so they can be the true owner of the Bitcoin that they have bought.

You can teach them the concept of mining maybe even how to trade. Personally, if I had a group explaining these things to me I would have been really productive and I would have done it quicker so know that you guys are doing something. Props to you!

Hi Little Mouse. Also include safe asset storage for those who want to learn.

For me, wallets as storage are mandatory knowledge that must be well mastered by Bitcoin and crypto users in general because knowing a broad understanding of wallets really helps users secure their assets after they know other basics which you think are more important.

They should be able to differentiate the advantages and disadvantages of using software, hardware and other wallets.
They also need to know the advantages and disadvantages of using open source and closed source wallets.
This is intended to avoid using an exchange to store assets for months.

I think knowledge about wallets as a place to store assets is number 1 to be taught after explaining what Bitcoin is, how Bitcoin works and after explaining what crypto is.

Good initiative. As we know, it's very important to secure our funds when we are in crypto. So you have to focus deeply on wallet services first. Another important thing is to make them clear about how Bitcoin works and how volatile it is as well. So when they were perfectly informed, they would take the right decision at the right time and not regret it at all. Teach them about using centralised exchanges also; it's very important to choose the perfect exchange and let them know how exchanges often scam and freeze accounts. Overall, we need to make sure all the funds are safe.

For sure OP you already tried activity setting some Bitcoin wallets, how to send Bitcoin, how to set transaction fees (fees/byte)?
Or maybe try also the calculation of fees or size of the transactions, sending batch transaction (where you can send to multiple addresses using one transaction).

Nice initiative and ways to motivate people to learn, but before I contribute my few cent I will like to know what you ain is for touching them crypto and who provides the funding for this pay to learn program, because for as far as I know money is a motivation and if you paying anyone such an amount I suggest you should start teaching them how to start generating the liquidity themselves, I think is will be more better and safer for you if you do the thinking of how to teach them the various mechanism that is involved is secured cryptocurrency assets, note that when they start generating they own revenue you will find a new ground to generate ideas on how  and what to teach them as they grow along the line.

Is $5 - $10 is a maximum earning for one participant in total through the Learn and Earn Program?

Years ago, Coinbase or Blockchain.com run their Learn & Earn Program but it is like their contracts with cryptocurrency projects to advertise them. Budget for earning in these programs come from marketing budgets of those projects.

If $10 is a total earning through a program, they will stop learning when they earn the maximum $10. Later if you add more content, questions for your program, they will not join it again to learn and answer new questions.
