Africans have little of gambling addict because they have only local gambling shops (lack of economic opportunities to improve the level of gambling). so they rarely reach full addiction.

In recent years, I've observed a considerable increasement on the participation of africans on this forum and gambling discussions in general. I'm not sure if africans have access only to local gambling shops, since to access this forum they must have devices connected to the internet. Besides the fact they are active on threads related to virtual casinos, what makes me believe they are also active betting on those platforms.

While in some other part of the world like the white, they are more likely to have co-occurring gambling disorders because of  depression or anxiety.

'The white' face the same lack of economic opportunities other people do, depending where they live, what their educational background is, and what opportunities are disponible around them. Many of them don't have enough income to maintain a high level of gambling addiction too, and in fact, the lack of financial stability could be one reason for the development of the depression and anxiety disorders.

And other races have high rate of gambling problems due to the presence of casinos on reservations, for example in Asia.

For most people,  the fact that they don't have enough money is the more reason they gamble and the only motive for gambling is to make more money. You know gambling with the sole aim of making money is not really safe as many would invest alot in gambling just to make money, this might eventually lead to a gambling problem. Come to think of it, how much does it cost an average person to gamble? The irresponsible ones will even do the unimaginable just to gamble.

If you say those in Africa do not often get addicted because they don't have enough resources (money) to gamble, then you are not different from the OP who thinks Africans rarely get addicted because they do not have more casinos around. Irresponsible gamblers will always face gambling challenges and anyone whether rich or poor, white or black can be irresponsible and still face gambling problems.

It's clear that there are many people who gamble because they want to be able to make a profit using only the money they have, hoping that gambling can give them a win, but in reality this only puts them in trouble, such as losses that can be large. when they cannot control themselves when gambling, such as chasing wins or even a ridiculous alibi, namely wanting to recover losses. Who would have thought that such ridiculous hopes would actually get them into serious trouble.

It's true, there is no difference between poor or rich gamblers, it's all the same if they gamble excessively or irresponsibly. This has happened a lot, there are many cases of bad effects caused by excessive gambling. it makes no difference about race, religion, financial level, or even gender, it all depends on the approach. If they are really close to gambling then they will experience big losses such as losing a lot of money just for gambling.

It would make more sense if you link gambling addiction with the availability of resources instead of saying it is influenced by different races. The people of Africa are not able to gamble that much or get addicted easily because they lack the resources that they can use for gambling, whether it's about having a lot of places for gambling or having enough financial capability. A person who doesn't have enough money to gamble won't get addicted to it.

So people who mostly get addicted to gambling are those who have got the resources they can use for their gambling activities even if there aren't a lot of opportunities for them to do that, they will still find a way to gamble and try their luck if they do it at least once or twice initially.

Or, people who are traditionally exposed to gambling.
It's not hereditary but it can be passed along in a different way and one of those is if as a kid he always sees his parents and relatives gambling either outside their house or inside.
Like me, my father is a gambler but I don't really like the way he gambles because it messes up the budget that is supposed to be for us. Then, I know a lot of my relatives like my uncles who are gambling outside because it is forbidden inside our house to gamble and it was my grandfather who was against it so they cannot do it at home.
Then, there's also the neighbor who can expose us to have knowledge about gambling. It is true, it's not about the race, it's the capability to gamble which means those who have money can do it and are prone to gambling addiction.

I say that an activity as great and beautiful as being in a casino is about having fun and trying to make money, because some people make it so important that they don't care if they leave their family unprotected with their things, especially sons who have their wives, this is something that I consider a great irresponsibility, that is something that we see in many cases, there are some countries where the culture is different, but I consider that the responsibility of leading a family and that everyone is well is something unique, for that reason I have always said that when a person is in bad ways in a casino they should move away, they should be and join the line of making things better, that is what we should see, Above all, do not fall into addiction, because when people fall into addiction, then those who need help the most are themselves and their family.

I don't know about this, it sounds like it has nothing to do with "races" but more with society, wealth, mental health and the culture that they are in. If you have an article that you can share to us where it is showcasing the effects of gambling to different "races" I would love to read it because It is an interesting topic look at.

According to a report published in 2020, about 60 million Nigerians aged between 18 and 40 were already actively involved in sports betting, spending almost N2 billion daily. Nigeria also has the highest average monthly spending on betting in Africa and is the second highest participating country in gambling, after Kenya.

There are several reports of people who, despite not having money, sold cars or houses to feed their addiction and even after losing everything they continue gambling because they need money to solve their problems, but they often lose much more than they win.

So, I believe that gambling addiction has little to do with skin color, but rather with the emotional state and financial control of their lives.

I don't know about this, it sounds like it has nothing to do with "races" but more with society, wealth, mental health and the culture that they are in.

I had the same thought because I don't believe that gambling problems have anything to do with the race of gamblers but more like how exposed they are culturally to such things, what kind of a society they have been raised in, how their financial situation is, and a bunch of other factors that might affect someone's life through gambling. A person who has been raised in an environment and with a culture where gambling is prohibited and no one around him has ever gambled or even if they did, they never did it in front of the children, such children would grow up having no interest in gambling at all.

On the other hand, if the same child grows up in a society where gambling is normal, almost every other person is a gambler and gambles regularly, people within the family are involved in gambling and they don't care whether children are watching or whatever and they do it whenever they want, such children would surely have a lot of interest in it when they grow up.

So it's barely about the race or anything like that but it's mostly about how much one has been exposed to it from the beginning and how much accessibility they have to the tools and stuff that can help them gamble.

First what do you mean by full addictions?
I can say that Africa has the highest and worst cases of gambling addicts because they have been a virial of public display of addictions problems and characters this make the whole of the thing to be a mess since we have seen multiple cases of incidents that are influenced by excessive gambling, sometimes you see suicide because of gambling loses and other times you hear cases of dunkely indebted individuals all via gambling.
So we can't outrighly take Africa away from that list and as a matter of fact we should consider rating Africa among the top continent with long history of gambling addictions.

Maybe you should use word "region" instead of "race", since you obviously mean that as you are talking about different parts of the world, local gambling shops and such. And these days we speak of about different cultures rather than race, in context like this.

But answer to your question is no. Why would race have anything to do with that? Different genomes can affect into addiction, like in situations where you inherit ADHD from your parents or grand parents etc, but no proof has found of a singular gene that would affect to that. But again, that has nothing to do with race.

Region however can affect to it with culture and attitude towards gambling, and obviously laws and regulations can determine how much people are subjected to advertising, what age limits there are, how easy access they have, and if there are any support in these areas for the addicts that are easily available.

Gambling I think has nothing to do with race. Gambling is a thing of choice  and nobody is forced to do so. Before anyone gambles, they must have made up their minds to do so. Therefore if anyone should get addicted, it has no relationship with where they are coming from but rather self control or discipline can come in play to curtail gambling addiction.

It would have been preferable you saying that not all religion allows or call for gambling as some see it as against their belief and tenets that guides them through in their faith. I don't think Africa is that behind right now,after all didn't they host the World Cup in 2010 in South Africa,this means that the technology of information is available to many persons worldwide now with no different races being at discrimination like you are pointing out some to have better chances of becoming addicted.I think everyone of us has the same level of probability of getting into addiction because that is deep in our DNA,human nature,we are all based on greed and greed is our greatest enemy yet we keep being led by greed and this has only bad consequences.Maybe the technology and innovation is not at the same level in Africa compared to developed countries yet I am sure they have a lot of online casinos out there too and they can all access for example our reputable crypto casinos here in the forum.
