There is no justification for what scammers trying to do in the first place.

Alongside the victim should be blamed too for falling into the pitfalls they have created, it could be avoided if they paid little more attention in most of the cases, so both parties are at the fault.
Blaming one for been scammed? He or she have no idea of these new techniques but if enlighten properly, the ratio of scamming victims will reduced. We should know what we want and falling for scamming activities and projects shouldn't be one of the them. We should be careful in the space because there are high rate of scams and we should always abide to the current situation of the market, not relenting because the so-called scammers doesn't sleep when it comes to doing their jobs, they execute them perfectly but mostly pointing towards the direction of the newbies.

The Big Question

Who Is Really At Fault?
no one is at fault but both sides because we are aware that this is depending to whom will believe and listen with , either fraudster or shiller ? who are we to decide whom at fault.

Quote
If more people realise that decentralized systems isn't like a banking or centralized system were you can go and report a transaction and they seize the persons money or track the person( although its possible if they are not smart enough) then you would be more careful when doing deals here.
then this is what we can call fraud , because Decentralization is what the reason that we are here , and indeed this made us free from government interference .

Have you noticed that whenever someone complain or there is an incident of scam they is always a role that was played by the person in that happening

It happens but not in all cases, you kept your property in your care is quite different from when you lost it out of carelessness or when someone came in and attack you just to steal you money from you, most of the people you see often loose their assets lack the practice of the security measures expected from them to use in shielding over their asset and this scammers uses such weakness to attack them, this is also very common to newbies in mot cases, if you know that you have something that you cherish, then don't wait till you're been attacked before doing something to protect yourself.
You are right we must be careful before blaming cheaters. It is your responsibility to protect your assets because how much care you take about you will depend on you because scammers or thieves will always look for opportunities so you need to keep your possessions safe at all times. Many times it is seen that our wealth is lost from us due to our little carelessness so we should always follow everyone's words because if we cannot keep our wealth carefully then we will lose our money and it will be more our fault than the one who steals it.

There's no cheater if there's no people willing to get deceive and it  same goes with those scam platforms we encounter. If we know that they are scam and shady then we should never try to deal with and take a risk since its like tolerating them to create a new schemes since they know that there are willing victims who tries to play with the game hoping that they can earn. We really see a lot of times a wealth loss so for people to avoid that to happen much better if they spend their time looking at more realistic means to earn bitcoins or crypto. There are good options there and people should never exert their effort to invest on example meme coins or other ponzi schemes which is obvious that what will be the end point of this programs.

This is just my insight on that matter. If the number of scammers is increasing in these times, it is because exploitative people also see that there are also many people who are ignorant and are often just carried away by the hype. They will be attracted.

And that attraction is also used by scammers to catch people who often fall for this type of hype. Scammers will only copy what has been done by legitimate other crypto's that have been successful in the field of crypto space, so if these scammers are smart, we as investors should also be smarter than the scammers.

Base on certain things people being scammed is because of ignorance of not having knowledge or not being having a mentor in the business and most people fall in the hands of scammers is a function of greed.

Scammers are everywhere and in every season, bear market or bull run they'll never absent from it because there's always an opportunity for them to scam people and victims are coming all over this marketplace no matter what the situation is. While they know the demand is on an increasing trend on this market, they do know that many uninformed newbies are coming in and those are the people that they're targeting to scam and that's why awareness and being knowledgeable is the key and getting familiarized with their scam techniques will help in avoiding them.

At least your reply points out that they is a level of responsibility we have in avoiding these scammers, others prefer to blame the circumstance than the rile they played, everyone want some else to get it done for them, if you are not ready to take care of yourself in this decentralized space then go back to your mama, crypto is for the grown that are ready to accept responsibility
It should start from us on how to avoid them. We can't be naive and then become a victim and then blame others for our mistakes and unfortunate situations that happen to us. Just like the real world, there are many scammers and we have to be careful of them and don't go on their way but instead, avoiding them so that you won't cross your paths and that's the reason why we're also doing the same in the crypto market so you won't cross paths with them.

The Big Question

Who Is Really At Fault?
I wouldn't say the victims are at fault if they are falling for scams due to being too naive to understand that isn't a legit offer. Nobody was born knowing everything, so it's expected at some point of your life you are going to be cheated by "clever" individuals who know the maliciousness of this corrupted world and don't bother deceiving others in order to feed their egos and personal needs. I guess what people have to do in these cases is to learn with scams they fall for, although who really is at fault here is the scammer, without any doubts!

If you have fallen for a Ponzi once, thinking it was a legit business, just raise your head, forget about the lost money and continue working to recover your funds, with the learnship in mind that you won't repeat the same decision in the future again. But if you repeat the same mistake, then I would say you are at fault as well, side by side with the scammer.

On the other hand, if a legit business suddenly turns into scam, it's not investors' fault. When that is the case and we end putting everyone on the same dirty basket, we are actually softening the scammer's fault, as he wasn't so bad for stealing money, since the people on the other side voluntarily gave him the money. The point is that people gave him the money with an agreement or deal in counterpart. Who didn't fulfill the agreement was the scammer, not the victims. So it's pretty easy to know who to blame.

It's very much obvious that both the scammers and the scammed plays a very big role in every scam case but the fact that this scammers are just so greed not to go work for their own money rather prefer to take from people who have worked for themselves, that's the only place I blame this scammers hence, I thing the people scammed in the crypto space especially with the Ponzi scheme scam are truly at fault for there lost coins. Greed plays a major role in this scam case most victims are very greedy to the extent of risking their money to get more with someone who you don't even know.

It's just poor to see such scenarios but it's true that both party plays a very big role in every scam, but we pray circumstances don't befall us hence we could be save in the crypto space, because for sure there is no 100% safe place in the internet.

greediness is just the main point because if not for greediness, scammers will not exist, and this greediness comes for those that have been scammed because if they are not greedy, they won’t fall into the hands of the scammers, and if the scammers don’t have anyone to scam, they will know they exist. But when punted into high consideration, you will find out that illiteracy is also included because I just keep wondering how you will be so doomed and trust someone that will show you he is a scammer from the first place, although some things that they first create a mature trust and relationship, but when someone that is there for a real business will not focus on having a strong relationship with you, a scammer will always try to have that first that only can show you that you have encountered a scammer.

Although anything that literacy is involved, you can’t stop it because these two factors are what cause scamming, which is literacy and greediness from those that have been scammed, and if it is on the part of the scammers, I will say it is just because of poverty and a heartless mind that is also caused by the same poverty, which in some locations is hard to avoid.

Whether we want to blame fraudsters or not, it doesn't seem to have any influence on them. They will continue to carry out their mission to reap profits and get as much money as possible as long as they can and don't get caught. yes because this may be part of their "profession". I say profession because this is [a job they do, deliberately and also managed very well.
It's also depends on the person who got fooled or got scammed because he/she did not make his/her own research on how to spot a fraud or scam so that they don't become a victim of such scheme that those people make like a scam website, fake project and more. If a person is being careful then the chance of being a victim from fraudsters is very low or less chance due to being careful. I won't say it's a job or a profession because they are being lazy instead of looking for a job or looking for a way to earn money the right way instead of doing something like scamming people.

The Big Question

Who Is Really At Fault?

Have you noticed that whenever someone complain or there is an incident of scam they is always a role that was played by the person in that happening, either they failed to be security conscious or they were totally ignorant, and when you look at it the scammer never forced them to comply, this people willingly fell for their  trick.

There are lots of crypto investors that are well educated, have a good job and a higher level of exposure than even most scammers, but they chose to enter into the crypto space irresponsibly and they inevitably get scammed and at times lose huge sums of money or even life savings. Last bull run there was this Elon musk swap scam that was on and someone lost 10 bitcoins to it and even other cases where people have gotten scam through crypto ads or crypto exchanges that shut down and all this would have been prevented in a way.

In conclusion
there are numerous experiences and stories of people getting scammed and it wasn't as tho a high class hacker went into the blockchain or stole their seed phrase, they literally gave them their money, I think no matter the new app with added security or software, people would still fall into scam as long as they chose to remain ignorant and disregard security consciousness, we can not protect anyone's holding for them, no matter how many treads on security and how to avoid scams are introduced, at the end of the day its a personal responsibility and each person must play their role in their safety.
O boy, your write up is  definitely going to get some people angry, and that includes me, are you for real?

So scammers are now the saints because they lay down some traps and wait for innocent people to fall for it and they don't force anyone to fall?

I hope you become a victim sooner than later, you will know how it feels, what is bad is bad, there is no other name for being bad, do not try to turn something bad or evil into good.

Some scamming tricks are confusing enough, to make people fall victim, while some scammers use greed in humans to lure them into traps, none of these is a good one.

Scammers are to be blamed, they are the doers of evil, and the internet will be a safer place without them, but if you think that scamming people is not bad, may you become a victim yourself, maybe someone will steal all your money in your bank account one day, you will then know how it feels.

The truth really tastes bitter so your free to be as angry as you want, face reality this is decentralization, we all signed for it when we decided that crypto was the way, and that includes beign responsibility for yourself and security, which ever way you get scammed either by misleading information or by total ignorance and sometimes people are just too greedy, if you read my post I made mention of a 2021 bull run scam called ELON MUSK SWAP that a man lost his 10 bitcoins too, does he look like a newbie to you, he has been here even before most of us, but was foolish enough to fall amongst many others, so now tell me, who would you blame the so sweet Elon scam or the man that failed to do his own research.

You get me wrong I'm not saying scammers are saints or angels, neither am I justifying the action, but its clear that we played a major role in any scam that happens to us, this people just merely exploit our weakness.

You feel I've not been scammed before, your joking, I have and yeah it's my fault, I was too greedy and that's fact and next time I'll stick in my lane, tell yourself the truth, your responsible for yourself.

I am glad you make some correction on your original post, you thus sound like you are saying it serves people right for losing their assets to scammers, as if every investors that lost funds to scammers are greedy.

There will always be newbies in this space, and mistakes will always be inevitable, learn everything you can, mistakes will still come seeking.

@Troytech, you got greedy, thats how you fell for scammers trap, have you ever not be greedy and still lost everything? Maybe you keep your recovery seed the right way and still someone moved out your funds? This have happened to me, until I got a hardware wallet and no problem since that time.

You don't have to be greedy before you get scammed, most people get hacked without being greedy, especially on computers and laptops, the world will be a better place without scammers, I wish they never existed.

That is a big question and nobody can answer that aside from ourselves. You should know that most times these fraudsters have the ability to manipulate your ! mentality and scam you. So when someone falls victim of fraud, it's not only because they were irresponsible or not security conscious but also because they were tricked. The truth is that anyone can fall victims of scam. Even those we might think are experts may also be vulnerable to scam. There might be little doors that may grant access to these hackers, scammer to get your funds. As an investor, you should be able to secure your funds at all cost and this can only be achieved by constantly being updated with security tips. Avoid anything that looks too good to be true. Don't link your funded account to unknown sites.

It's as simple as fact as that @Hatchy. Sometimes we might feel to appear strong to deep down we could be weak so some extent. Let's just wish that professional and expertise scammers doesn't have us in sight else it could be some risky moments to loosing our funds.
Even right in this forum while we're reference with links to verify some informative sources, anyone across the link can be indicting to encounter compromised to their devices or any Internet interface of accounts logged onto the device which as our wallets.
There are several and unique ways scammers could tend to Investors Privacies and make away with their funds.
Sometimes it's not due to the investors carelessness or greeds but mostly on the fact that the victim is not knowledgeable that he/she can be frauded in such situations. No one actually want to fall a scamming victim and everyone is trying their best to stay and keep the funds safe as much as they can but to a certain level some persons becomes victims even at their alertness.

(Now to be clear I'm not saying scammers are right or saints, I'm pointing to the fact that we are responsible for ourselves, so enough of that shitty excuse, yeah the Internet would be a safer place without scammers but there are here, so deal with it)
Don't hide behind that fact that we should be responsible for ourselves because that really don't matter if there are scammers out there and there's a lot of schemes that they can use to scam you and it's not like you know all of it so even if you're the most vigilant on the Internet, you're still not immune to scams. Maybe it's not right to blame the victims of this scams though, are you that heartless that you're focused on the wrong thing which is the goddamn scammer? There's no way that people like you are for real existing in real life and that you've got this mindset that you blurt out to other people, it's scary too that you've got this mindset and your group of friends that have the same mindset. Sure prevention is better than cure but wouldn't it be nice if we're able to eliminate scammers entirely, I know you're irritated at how dumb or stupid some people are when it comes to their security online but you have to remember that you're the smarter and bigger person, you're better off guiding them or giving them the warnings.

BIG WINNER!

We don't need to blame fraudsters because it is our fault for not being careful and looking for more information. If we don't ignore all the important information out there, we will definitely be fine and won't be fooled. These fraudsters really work by deceiving careless people who don't want to look for information before they decide.

Yes, we are the fools who have allowed ourselves to be deceived, even though we know that there are ways to avoid the fraud they commit. That is why we must always be careful in making decisions and not immediately decide on something if we are not sure. Keep looking for more information before deciding.

We cannot blame the fraudsters as they are inhumane and lacks the humanity else they won't be cheating and robbing innocent and foolish people. I think we need to be very cautious but still there are chances users can be fooled at least expected platforms I see everyday people are getting scammed through the fake e-commerce sites and all. This has to be stopped which is possible with only harsh punishment for the preparators else they will keep on figuring out new way to fool us. We need strong cybersecurity and anti scan system in place the scammers should be traced and punished.
If we don't blame them and also hold them responsible how will this bad habit shrink lower? If they don't need to be blamed then it's like we are encouraging them.

If someone is inhumane, and we keep overlooking it, saying we can't blame them, the world will get much worse as time goes on, we need to frown on it so much that if one scammer is apprehended he or she must have the law.

The moment we encourage this habit many youngsters will grow up to be bad hackers and scammers too, so please let's keep blaming them.

Every beginner in the crypto space is new, and that means they are vulnerable, even before they become smarter they are still going to learn and some will have to experience losses first, this is the bitter truth.

I do hope that beginners will choose to learn almost all the importance of keeping digital assets safe first before they decide to start investing, this is the only way that scams can be reduced in the crypto space, but unfortunately, everyone has different emotions and that is the weakness the scammers are craving for.

Really? 'We're the fools'?  Have you ever been scammed? It ain't about being a fool.  These scammers are out there preying on anyone, and they are slick at what they do.  Sayin we shoulda known better is bogus.  We gotta teach people how these schemes work and catch the crooks doing them, not just blame folks who got played.  I'm just sayin, go easy on calling people fools.  Most times they're just naive or inexperienced and it could happen to anybody if you ain't careful.

The thing that causes us to be deceived by other people is because of our lack of knowledge, something that we don't understand well, so those who have evil intentions towards us will certainly try to take advantage of this opportunity so that this will benefit them and it is true that we cannot fully blaming those who have cheated, but if we have extensive knowledge in various fields, of course it will be very difficult to be exploited by people who have the intention of deceiving other people.
It is everyone's responsibility to take care of themselves because it is impossible for other people to think about the life we live.

Making a direct judgment on the person who was deceived by calling him a fool is also incorrect and even very inappropriate. Because even the smart people were often deceived in the past, so everyone has to see how clever the fraudsters are so that even those who are smart can also be deceived. So it is true as you say that there is no need to rush to say other people are stupid if we ourselves are still not necessarily smarter than that person and even have the potential to be deceived if we are attacked by a fairly reliable fraudster.

Exactly! The key is learning from these scams, not just throwing our hands up.

We gotta be smarter than the scammers, right? When you think about it, if someone is walking down a dark alley at night with money poking out of their pockets, and they get robbed - well not the smartest move on their part.  but it doesn't mean they're stupid, they just could've been more careful.  Its kind of the same thing with getting scammed.  The more we learn about common tricks and loopholes these jerks use, the better we can protect ourselves and each other from getting played.
