Have you noticed that whenever someone complain or there is an incident of scam they is always a role that was played by the person in that happening, either they failed to be security conscious or they were totally ignorant, and when you look at it the scammer never forced them to comply, this people willingly fell for their trick (Now to be clear I'm not saying scammers are right or saints, I'm pointing to the fact that we are responsible for ourselves, so enough of that shitty excuse, yeah the Internet would be a safer place without scammers but there are here, so deal with it)

There are lots of crypto investors that are well educated, have a good job and a higher level of exposure than even most scammers, but they chose to enter into the crypto space irresponsibly and they inevitably get scammed and at times lose huge sums of money or even life savings. Last bull run there was this Elon musk swap scam that was on and someone lost 10 bitcoins to it and even other cases where people have gotten scam through crypto ads or crypto exchanges that shut down and all this would have been prevented in a way.

In conclusion
there are numerous experiences and stories of people getting scammed and it wasn't as tho a high class hacker went into the blockchain or stole their seed phrase, they literally gave them their money, I think no matter the new app with added security or software, people would still fall into scam as long as they chose to remain ignorant and disregard security consciousness, we can not protect anyone's holding for them, no matter how many treads on security and how to avoid scams are introduced, at the end of the day its a personal responsibility and each person must play their role in their safety.

With crypto you gotta have high standards when it comes to safe guarding it. There are crazy scams all the time and so elaborate that even some bitcoin devs fall for them.

It's so funny how people would be so careless in the crypto space, and you would wonder if there knew what they were doing, it's decentralization for God's sake which means you are responsible for yourself you can't go around messing with what you have;

I think if more people accept that it's their responsibility to protect and safeguard themselves and also filter the information they consume, we would have a reduce in the amount of scam that happens.

Well, when all those kinds of ugly incidents happen, there is no need to start casting blame to who is at fault and who is not at fault, there is no one who is above the mistake. The fact is that little mistakes can lead to great or little damage to one's security, and if the person doesn't act fast, they may lose all or some of their assets.

for me I will say that it is a humans that promote fraudulent activities to the society so I believe that what causes the art of scam is due to We Are Over interested and overwheling to get what we know quite well that cannot be easy to be achieved with the such strategies a normal circumstances a scammers does not have a conscience only thing that have to offer you is to take away the one that you have achieved because there are interested to enrich themselves with the others sweat, so that is why when you look at them you minimize your way of being greedy or being interested to make money with a small amount of capital.

It's not as easy and simple as you are trying to put it. When someone gets scammed, they don't just give their money away to someone who comes to them asking for it. As said by other members, they have manipulative approaches and they will trick you in ways that you wouldn't understand that you are getting scammed. I was working with an agency, the scammer contacted me as the head of our team, and believe me, he had set his account in such a way that you wouldn't even realize that it is someone else. The point is, they make situations where it becomes difficult for you to evaluate what's happening quickly, and by the time you realize that, they have already done their work and there is nothing you can do after that point.

Scam is of different class from hack, because scam have to do with the victim playing in to the scammers trap, while hack can happen in a software which is out of the victims control some times.

Don't hold bitcoin on any centralized platforms, make sure your coins are offline and secure, don't trust but verify and don't shitcoin. If there is no scammer then there wouldn't be a victim, but at the same if there is no one who would fall for their scams they would stop on doing it since it would just be a waste of time.

Are you for sure? You are saying we should not blame the scammer or the fraudsters. This is hilarious. A scammer came to and deceived me and go away with my money or property and you are welcome should not blame him. You and Op know that they guys use charms to catch their victim sometimes? I have heard a story that scammer visited a house and convinced the man and scammed him and slet with the wife. Those are not ordinary things. On the one hand, I understand your point, but on the other hand, I believe that your approach is way too absolute and harsh. How is it even possible to not blame the scammers for taking advantage of other people's ignorance? Not everything is as certain as you make it sound. I've almost gotten scammed once after returning from work exhausted. I knew the dangers of what I was doing; I connected my website to a phishing site. It wasn't ignorance; I was just on autopilot, not thinking a thing. Luckily, adrenaline kicked in and prevented the worst.

Ofcourse they are the ones to be blamed; first of all they are the doers of this illegal action. Now the question should be, do we need to blame those who were fooled by these schemes? I am against it. Let's say thet they weren't being careful with their actions but they are just people who are having hopes. As others have mentioned, fraudsters are making these scam related activities, attractive to the eyes of people simply because they want to victimize as many as possible. This simply means they were just fooled by offers but of course if they knew it as a scam, why would they engage in the first place? We can't twist this, whether or not the we got scammed because of ignorance, greed, high expectations, this was plan and accessed by someone to carryout in other to enrich himself off people money which is evil. I know some will argue  that the victims are to be blamed, but we should also know that no one is above falling victim for scams, the Fraudster presented a service with realistic perceptions filled with lies to deceive his victims that had believe and later end up ripped of there investment and you say the victims are to be blamed. I know we Human are not satisfy and once out reward system gets triggered we become blindfolded or careless about risks involved while taken some kind of actions bur hopefully some learn from experience and some also learn from the happenings and not allow themselves do same.

Both parties involved;The Fraudster and his potential client (victim),  one initiates  the idea while the other take action based on the idea for the benefits of both but ends up getting disappointed, regretful and emotionally unhealthy.

Have you heard of social engineering OP? Because if you haven't then you wouldn't be talking about all these false logic about scammers. Social engineering is a way for scammers to earn your trust, basically they befriend you and try to earn your trust, that's probably the most basic of social engineering because some people don't even have to befriend you, they most of the time are just strangers that would ask you some random questions but then it happens to be that those questions are a way to gauge how you are with security and if you're easy to get when it comes to scams. I disagree with the vibe of the op because I think victim-blaming is generally a bad practice. It's easy to criticize in hindsight, and it's natural to blame the victims because we want to think that we're doing something better and that's why we won't become such victims. There are lots of crypto investors that are well educated, have a good job and a higher level of exposure than even most scammers, but they chose to enter into the crypto space irresponsibly and they inevitably get scammed and at times lose huge sums of money or even life savings. Last bull run there was this Elon musk swap scam that was on and someone lost 10 bitcoins to it and even other cases where people have gotten scam through crypto ads or crypto exchanges that shut down and all this would have been prevented in a way.

For me the question should be: Am I getting that money in a fair and legal way? There are different types of scams, and I think there is a difference if you willingly decide to buy some shitcoins on the DeFi, because I think you know exactly what you are doing, or, for example, if you're not an expert and you click some link to "update your wallet" or something like that and you lose everything.
If we start blaming the victims because "they were ignorant" then we should also accept many other types of crime: they stole your car? Well, you parked on the street, get a garage! Just know that scammers are very intelligent, there are many ways to scam people, and that is why sometimes if someone gets scammed, I don't normally blame them too much. This is because the crypto space is an open place where everybody can come in and do what they wish to do. There is no reason to blame the investors in this case. The fraudsters are the one committing the crime and should be held responsible for that. These investors are just looking for a legal way to make profits in the crypto industry and the fraudsters are making every attempt to sabotage their efforts. Although, there are instances I will blame the investors especially when they willingly give out their seed phrase to scammers for whatever reason. In the case of rug pulls, exit scams and some other related fraud, investors are innocent and they can't be blame for falling for such scams.

Changing one's address during transaction operations, like this is weird though my antivirus is always updated to prevent any form of malwares from harming my computer. One should focus on how to protect one's earned money rather than just focusing on making money. You copy an address to which you want to transfer your BTC and you paste it in the field "Pay to" in your wallet, and if you pasted the same address that you copied then your money will go in the right direction, but if it was changed to another address in your buffer and you didn't notice that the address you pasted is different from the address that you just copied and click the "Send" button and confirm it by entering your password, the money will go to the address the malware has provided.

I disagree with the vibe of the op because I think victim-blaming is generally a bad practice. It is not just because they are innocent and lack of knowledge but these people the scammers because of their greed. Scammers will take advantage of those who are bold and greedy, and those people who aim to become rich instantly. Of course it's your responsibility but you must also take in consideration that everybody makes mistakes, even the most experienced users sometimes can simply overlook something because maybe that day they feel a little off. What do you mean "not advisable"? These days, children have been using the internet since the age of 12, if not earlier. We can't do much about it, and imo we shouldn't. Preventing them using the internet is like pushing them back in the direction of the Stone Age. We don't really need to blame the fraudster, if you don't fall victim to them there's no way you're going to get scammed, that is why is not advisable for children who's at the age of 17 to start using the internet, reason is because they can easily get scammed.

What do you mean "not advisable"? These days, children have been using the internet since the age of 12, if not earlier. We can't do much about it, and imo we shouldn't. Preventing them using the internet is like pushing them back in the direction of the Stone Age. Yes your really correct , you speak volume in my heart fraudster go beyond the victim mist as mist has the technicality as engaged in most diabolical means just to track their victims.
