I always research first before buying an altcoin even if it is a top altcoin and also always look at the market situation. currently the price of btc is increasing after the halving and some of the top altcoins are rising and some are at stable prices. If we always wait for the price to be even lower then we will miss the train.

The market goes through ups and downs in movement. If you are investing in altcoins, then you will have plenty of chances to invest. If you don't get the chance to join the old project, then you will surely be able to get a chance to invest in a new project. There will be plenty of projects in the short term to make a profit. I am pretty confident that most people won't buy altcoin at the bottom. People wanted to invest when the price was moving forward. If an altcoin is moving sideways, then there is still time to invest.

You have some valid points even though some are not thorough or could mislead. What makes altcoins to be unique is that they often have their seasons and even when some altcoins are buying at random times, others might be relaxing, but when the time of those that initially bought ends, those you never thought they were going to buy will start buying. That is the difference here that is expanding the opportunities of making more money in altcoins.

You can imagine what happened to PEOPLE recently, the DAO token initially sold so well but started at a low level a few days ago, but before I knew it, it had moved 5 times of its price. That's the gist. Smart investors can be scouting for the cheap coins/tokens all the time, and they will surely find the ones that will still have their time to buy significantly like the example I just cited.

Again, there are bearish and bullish seasons in the crypto market, so if anyone can be so patient, that's if they are afraid to buy now, they can wait for the bearish season to end. By then, all coins and tokens would have taken a nosedive and they would all be cheap to buy at that time. But I hope the crypto cycle continues to happen the way it always does. This is applicable to the old and new crypto projects, but let me warn you, you should always be careful and not e too trusting of nay project, we should always DYOR for our own good.

Personally, since there is no Altcoin as expensive as bitcoin or Ethereum then there is absolutely no expensive Altcoin yet. in few months or in a year time we would definitely see some ATH in prominent coins which will determine if truly coins have been expensive because by then you would find the over priced altcoins now even more over price than you expected.

so if you really want to buy altcoins you can buy them now because this is absolutely the best time you can buy them.

Ethereum and Bitcoin are expensive but they are also more worthy coins than others and there are also some other altcoins which can give us huge profit as compared to Bitcoin and they are lower in price now but Bitcoin is so expensive that everyone cannot afford its investment.

We will soon see another pump because previously as we have seen the bitcoin to reach 71k$ so altcoins were also pumped in worth but now with decrease in the amount of Bitcoin altcoins are also showing decrease which is a better time to hold some best altcoin.

I think we will see the season which OP has mentioned only during bear market not in midst of bull season.

There are still cheap coins available in the market and these coins have good potential. It is the lazy attitude of OP that he is unable to find those gems. Big coins have already surpassed that level when they were dirt cheap I agree on that point but there are a few gems and those gems have been discussed in the forum that are still low in value and have the potential of giving good returns.

If you want to invest in altcoins, it is wrong if you look at them as overpriced. Because you thinking you’re paying too much than you’re ought to. So you may want to change that mindset and rather hope that what you invest in can grow.

Maybe I don't find it lazy attitude but he has no confident to buy know since maybe he has lack of knowledge about certain alts that currently can be consider as good to buy since they have potentials to rise.

So I guess what he need to do is to dig more deeper knowledge since if he continue to ask like that without doing any actions then provably he will just get confused with the suggestion and get afraid by misinformation then will not do any action which he might regret later on especially if the alts will pump.

But if he want to practice his skills maybe he should go with bitcoin first since this is the top coin and maybe he can learn some knowledge that can help him understand on what are important things that need to consider when investing on those altcoins.

There's a lot of cheap altcoins that aren't overpriced yet, if you happen to see those that got the huge value I think that's old and stable. You could seek your chances from different uprising projects here in the forum, because it has the huge potential compared to other unverified altcoins. Doing your own research is the most important before deciding to engage yourself in cheaper tokens, let's be careful about it.

Most of the altcoins are way down than their ATH when there was a alt season previously. So you can ask this question to yourself after next bull season of alts, answering yourself, "damn those were really cheap, if I had bought those at that price." So after halving there was a good opportunity to invest in altcoins when there was an ongoing dump in the market but now the market seems to be balanced and starting its journey for a positive growth. So in order to get an insight of altcoins study the BTCs behaviour closely.

Cheap prices will definitely return, but it will take time, maybe after a bull run or correction period is the closest,
to buy altcoins when the price is high, I don't think it's better not to make a profit than to lose money in the long run, because you're stuck on a coin whose value is stuck and continues to decline.

if you missed buying it now then in the future there will obviously come a time where all the coin price tanked you can buy them at heavily discounted price but there's this one disadvantage of being too late where the price despite in bearish probably still higher than the previous bearish price because thats just how it works.

the only chance right now to make investment is when market having sudden correction when price dips more than 20% thats the right time.
i've seen plenty of altcoins having just that moment, like manta where they lost 50% of value.
but i'm not so sure whether they are worth investing.

We will never be able to time the market. The market works very dynamically and there are tens of thousands of projects based on CMC. If you look at CMC you will see how each project experiences ups and downs. But no one can ever truly predict the market. Don't wait for a bearish season. But buy with your cold hard cash if you believe in the project. An example is the ONDO project where the price is now around $1.2. But some people say the price is already very high when it was at $0.7 a month ago.

I don't know how you can think that alts price are not cheap as it is now, have you taken a look at the market lately and see how cheap most of the alts are now, look at alts like Tia, DYM, Apt, Wormhole, inj and a whole lot of them are very cheap as we speak.
I don't think you will see alts any cheaper than what they are now. If we are going to witness a bull run after btc halving i think this is the time to buy some of the great alts for the upcoming bull run.

I think there is no something so different with the previous bullrun season.
Although it is quite surprising that Bitcoin reached a new ATH before halving but everything looks normal after the halving happened.

Why people feel disappointed?
After halving, we already have a big decrease of crypto prices. It was when the price of Bitcoin dropped from $73k to $56k.
At that time, the prices of many altcoins freefall. Why they didn't buy altcoins at that time?  

By the way, it is good if the market keep growing and we have a constant uptrend. We know it is not the best time to accumulate crypto coins, it is the time to prepare taking profits. Most people must expect to have up trend, it is what we are waiting for in 3-4 years (return of cycle). So, it is a bit strange if people are disappointed to see a constant uptrend.

What's your definition of cheap altcoins? If you are looking for top picks on coinmarketcap then sure it might be reached its new ATH and you considered that an "overprice" altcoins. But, there are still so many altcoins that are still considered "cheap" and underrated to trade, so might as well to check those out. Altcoins are vulnerable for such high pump and dump market movement, it's pretty much normal.

Price is relative, to some people entering Crypto now, the price is not that high since they are buying these tokens based on what they were told that moon only, people that have been here and see the price of token move from $1 to like $20 will feel it is too expensive. I missed out on $Doge because I believe the price was too high and Elon Musk kept pumping the price last cycle.
