As I understand it, this old man meant that these demons represent our vices - greed, anger, envy and pride. Not without reason in some religions these manifestations are considered mortal sins. It is in gambling these manifestations can meet in one gambling session and are in fact the very factor that allows casino owners to receive additional profits. This is a case of superstition and being religious he feels playing of gamble is the handwork of demons but is far from the truth, the best he would have done is to tell you the disadvantage of betting rather than bringing religion into it. When it comes to religion, people don't see gambling as a good activity for humanity to involve themselves.
Since people have their own believes then we are not in position to argue with them. You might believe that gambling is fun and is another way to make money apart from your current job, but some people will argue with you that you are talking rubbish giving you different instances where it was started in their religious book that gambling is bad and one is not expected to gamble. It could be true or wrong but we need to respect everyone opinion about gambling and go for what works for us without much arguments.

You right and the best is to put away religious and belief away but if one must follow religion then he or they must be ready to abide by their book of low.
If you watch clearly none of these books actually gives good preference to gambling and they speaks against it entirely, but as a gambler who knows what he doing he can go for the fun and gambling responsibly because I believe the reason why people says gambling is demonic is because they are gradually or entirely falling into addiction and would be very hard for them to have control over gambling.

I always say that anyone can believe what they want to believe but they should stop manipulating people into believing they are doing wrong, thereby making them think their own way of belief/lifestyle is the right one. This is what religions are built on, an ideology. You would see some religions brainwashing people to do unspeakable things in the name of pleasing their gods and they will mind-control them to the point that they would think what they are doing is right. This is not different from this context, but that is if you let them.

If gambling is what you want and you can adhere to responsible gambling, why not? Many do it for fun, some manage their portfolio well and some even make money from it. Just don't let it control you and you will be fine, rather than letting anyone's ideology infest what you want for yourself.

You are right religious beliefs has made people to reason clockwise though it's painted to be true only if they believe it, I am not saying that I am don't have what I believe on but even as that I know how to handle things the right ways and I also applied responsible gambling. I think they whole of this talks is about people who put their religious first and not minding that gambling has been in existence since the origin of man and I can never spit away by the religious people therefore, I give ways to those who are too religious and I don't want my gambling practice to be affected neither do I gambling irresponsibly.

The first thing a person should realize is that any entertainment should know the measure and learn to control their desires. Gambling should really be treated up that way on which on the moment or time that you wouldnt really be having those kind of intents or typical or a must thing to deal up with gambling
then you are really that derailing yourself in overall essence on how gambling should really be dealing up with. One of the most common issue of most gamblers is that they do become
that too greedy and being that too hopeful that they would be able to make up some big money. This is why it would really be that important that you should be realistic
on to deal with gambling and dont make  yourself that too desperate.

I boarded a bus going home from the bank yesterday, then I remembered some football match had few minutes to kick-off then I brought out my phone from my pocket to place some bet, immediately I opened the bet app a man sitting next to me, tapped me and said that gambling is Satanic and I should desist from it, at first it sounded so funny and made me laugh but with a serious face he further said that it's manipulated by demons and that's why the house would always have the higher edge. He said he used to be a gambler but stopped when he discovered that and that there are demons helping the casino and sport betting owners to manipulate people into becoming addicted and getting more money from them, they give to selective people knowing fully well more people would lose and they'll gain back what they lost when more bettors lose the old man made it sound real but I don't believe that, i think he's lost too much in gambling before he stopped and is looking for anyway no matter what to discourage people from being like him or he's just being too superstitious. What's your opinion about this please?

Everyone has their theoretical view and ideas about gambling , just like you said in your story a man told you gambling is satanic, well that's his idea but it common knowledge that gambling has a negative on people, it doesn't matter if you win or lose once you get addicted you are gone. Thinking about it logically he might be right about the spiritual side of gambling or maybe he has lost a money in the games. In whatever we do, know that excess of everything is bad, don't let gambling have a negative impact on you
