When you are using online wallets either on your mobile phone or personal computer, you need to make sure that you don't download or install untrustworthy applications or anything, don't click unknown links, don't give access to your device to any app even if it's for a short period because these things can compromise the security of your device and funds.
If your wallet is installed in the same device you use to browse the internet, then it is prone to hacking and you cannot be too careful. You could download a phishing application or click on a link that has malware and lose your funds to scammers. Instead of trying to be too careful, store your funds in cold storage if it is worth so much, and use online wallets only for money you need for spending on the go.

You can use Coinomi or Mycelium I think you can swap USDT right on the app if I am not mistaken. For fees, I think they are also customizable. Just don't use untrusted wallets or else your funds will be gone. I've been using those apps I've mentioned since 2017 and it's working well though I have never tried swapping USDT but with other coins yeah it's good.

OP wants a Bitcoin wallet, not a multi-coin crypto wallet like Coinomi, this is a bad choice, also Coinomi is not an open-source crypto wallet, I have lost my digital asset using that wallet before and at first, I thought the fault was all mine until later I started seeing other people having the same problem.

Crypto wallets Like  Coinomi are a bad choice choice, if you really care about safety it is best to choose a open source non-custodial Crypto wallet, many people in this thread have already said the best ones, this doesn't count.

TRZEOR, Electrum, Blue wallet, Unstoppable, and every open source Bitcoin wallets out there are excellent choice, some called themselves open-source to mislead people, verify from people who have used such wallets before.

I verified that Electrum, Unstoppable, Trezor, Safepal, and Keystone are very reliable choices to store your Bitcoin.

Just from the title alone… I wanted to ask what possibly the best wallet to hold bitcoin in?

Before anyone says that it depends on what I need specifically then here is what I am here for. I can not decide which one really is the best based on the things I want. First of all I plan on holding some bitcoin (not huge amount) for a foreseeable future. However I also plan on swapping it for usdt from time to time aka when the price is getting high. I need a wallet that has low fees when swapping , preferably decentralized and in mobile and is secure.

Any recommendations?
My recommended Bitcoin wallet is Electrum, Blue Wallet is also included.
Electrum and Blue Wallet are wallets specifically for storing Bitcoin, not wallets that support more than one coin like other wallets mentioned in the discussion here.

Even if it's not a large amount, it's better not to use one wallet to store coins. Bitcoins should not be combined with other coins in the same wallet such as multi-coin wallets. If you ever want to exchange it, you can send it to the exchange address from the main wallet.
Fees, depending on conditions. Specifically for Bitcoin, it is not high if conditions are not constrained like now, high priority is only 12 sat/vB for transactions.

~snip~Electrum is also very widely used by members on the forum, although some use other wallets to store Bitcoin because each member's choice depends relatively on which wallet they think is safer. Regarding security, it goes back to each user, only each individual can guarantee security depending on how much they care about the assets stored in the wallet.

Yes you are right about the security, all security depends on each user. Although the security of the wallet is enhanced if the user is careless then there is no point in such security. The use of hardware wallets will also be useless if you store phrases carelessly and can be known to others.
