Indonesia still not gets any medal from the current Olympics but they had gold medal tradition from Badminton because almost every events they can able to gets gold medal from this sport and currently still group phase which for Men’s Singles Indonesia has Anthony Ginting and Jonatan Christie but their performance were dissapointing because few hours ago they had just lost from their opponents and this makes them were eleminate early and failed to advances to round of 16 because only gets 1 win from 2 games

For Women’s Singles Gregoria Tunjung has successfully to advances to the round of 16 after on the second game she can able to overcomes Czech Republic athlete Tereza Svabikova with 2 set in a row and this result makes her finish as the champion of group G and Gregoria opponent for round of 16 is Kim Ga-eun and i am confident Gregoria will be able to win this match because previously Gregoria has good results while met Kim Ga-eun because from 8 meeting total Gregoria always be win

To be honest, this year Olympics in Paris didn't really impress me, especially the opening ceremony which looked very standard compared to previous Olympics, Previously I had hoped that paris would give a lot of impression at this year Olympics but in fact there weren't many surprises happening, currently it looks like Indonesia We haven't been able to do much at the Olympics, so far we haven't even won a single medal in various sporting events, badminton and weightlifting haven't given us medals at the moment although previously we always used badminton and weightlifting as a mainstay to win gold or silver medals, but for now, I think many countries are also starting to develop rapidly in the sport of badminton, making it difficult for Indonesia to win medals,  so far Indonesia only has two representatives left in badminton Gregoria Mariska Tunjung (women singles) in the round of 16, and also Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto (men doubles) in the quarterfinals.
I personally hope that at least the men's doubles will bring home 1 medal even though it's a little difficult if you look at the opponents they faced in the quarterfinals.

They were our pride. As the Turkish people, we really liked Yusuf Dikeç's fight. I should also say that he was a soldier in the Turkish army. Next up is Mete Gazoz's gold medal fight in the male individual archery and I hope he wins it.

Impressive stuff by Pen! He literally gave no chance to anyone to catch him and I was more than impressed with his swimming style and how clean it was. David Popovic is just 19 years old and already clinched 2 medals of Paris with 1 gold and 1 bronze and still have slight chances to conquer 1 more but as a Romanian , I'm very happy with his performances from last years and it no coincidence that Popovic is slowly but surely starting to dominate the swimming contest.

So far two moments caught my eye — First one being, Lakhshya Sen's back handed shot and other is not exactly related to game but it's about some Indian companies taking advantage of Manu Bhaker as their advertising material without sponsoring her.

I mean we all know what North Korean government is, and most likely with the athletes associating themselves with the other side, they could be in serious trouble when they go back to North Korean or at least their families as well as the government might think that they are going to go on the other side, just saying.

For Yusuf Dikeç, yeah that is really cool to see him winning the Silver, just shooting as it should be. No special glasses and gear to have some kind of advantage or make it easy to shoot the target.

Türkiye Women's Volleyball team beat the Dominican Republic 3-1 today and advanced to the quarterfinals.

I watched most of the match and only Türkiye lost the first set, they won the other 3 sets very easily.

When I first saw this guy and this picture, I though that it was just a regular guy who was passing by shooting range. Just a guy who loves shooting after work from time to time. He simply changed his shirt to Turkish tshirt and decided to participate. This hand in the pocket shows that he wasnt hoping to get a high results, or indicates a huge professionalism. Most important, that this guy isnt young, his sight isnt perfect anymore, yet he manages to be very precise at shooting. Imagine him being younger, he would have taken gold easily.

Yesterday Caio Bonfim from Brazil (the country where I live) won an unprecedented silver medal in race walking. He is in his fourth Olympics, a sign that perseverance can indeed bring results... A curious fact is that Caio is trained by his own mother Gianette Bonfim, 8 times Brazilian champion... and Gianette was trained by João Sena, her husband and Caio's father... the whole family trained themselves... nice, right?

Being Croatian, I lost a few years of my life watching that match, especially during the tie break. At the beginning of the 3rd set, I was sure Donna was going to lose it (I even put some money on it), but luckily, she somehow managed to win. I just hope she has enough time to recover for the tonight's match vs Schmiedlova.

Pretty funny to see France getting so many medals only in first 8 days of Olympic games, when they got almost same amount during whole Olympic Games in 2020. United States are performing bad this year. Only 6 gold medals, when on previous games they have got 39, and it is only athletics left, when they are super strong at. It is either they get more gold next days when swimming is still on, or they wont win this Olympics.

Yes, and If I'm not mistaken, the North and South Koreans could have been playing under one banner during the 2016 or 2020 Olympics. So it's not that surprised to see the two having a selfie in this age and hopefully the North Koreans will not take his matter seriously to their athletes. And then know the consequences of defecting to the other side, their families are  going to suffer or maybe worst is death.

I know that, but that is actually funny, because participating at home, and "knowing stadium, track and etc" only gives advantage in few disciplines. However judges still give a little extra attention and advantage to host country, even though they are international.

Has anyone heard any scandals? I havent googled it, but it is pretty much silence about it, except opening ceremony.

If the result had been negative, if he had not received a medal etc., he would have received serious criticism in Turkey.
Since the result was positive, he has now been declared a charismatic hero, but if it had been negative, he would have been lynched on social media saying, "Who would have chosen this man and disgraced us to the world?"

It is also worth noting that he is 51 years old. As for special equipment, it may not sound very serious, like anti-glare glasses and headphones (and a device to block the view of the second eye), but from the outside it looks extremely unnatural. For me, it would be logical if there were two separate categories - shooting with special technical means and without.

This picture is the one more popular in my local social media channel compared to the Turkey representative. His posture and chill vibes while holding pistol one handed is so bad ass.

They are even compared to the JJK(Jujutsu Kaisen) Popular characters since they resemble the aura and posture. Regardless both athletes is so cool to watch on this level high competitive games while they are just chillin like a boss. Bang bang. Haha.

Fun fact: He won silver medal though on that winning shot.
