Atalanta who won last season's UEFA Europa League trophy after defeating Bayer Leverkusen is one team that you can't underestimate their strength. I wouldn't be in a ghast to just conclude that real madrid will win though they're the favorite side to win as this game is a cup match, However, If I looked at the performance of Atalanta last season that brought them the Europa Cup trophy, and the H2H records, and precisely the last time when Atalanta met with Real Madrid was in the season of 2020/2021 EUFA Champions League round of 16 game, and also taking into account the fact that the last time when a Spanish club played against an Italian side in a EUFA supper cup was in 2010 where Atletico Madrid trashed internazionale 2-0.

Real Madrid players are not the type that is being affected by fatigue and to put it clear to you, the Euros ended last month in which these players that you mentioned have rested very well before in the 14th that they will clash with Atalanta. Fatigue can only affect a player that has being playing matches back-to-back and not players who have rested for almost a month with constant training.

All Real Madrid players are very fit for the match against Atalanta and I don't know what you take these players for, an average player or what because we have watched them played from the beginning of a season till the end winning two titles or more without any complain of fatigue or setback due to fatigue. I hope I understand the new format correctly. I think I agree that making the top 8 is really hard for an underdog team, but still not impossible. It's not like some of the weakest teams reached the round of 16 frequently in the past. It was rather teams like Porto, which I think could still win again a top team in a home game. That shouldn't be forgotten. Every team is granted four home games against a team of each of the four categories. It would still be possible for teams like Porto to beat a top team at home.

It is also kind of treacherous. Considering that the squad depths of these two teams are different, I don't think Atalanta will implement an open game strategy if they want to beat Real Madrid. Defending and counterattacking are the most common strategies used by opposing team coaches when they play against Real Madrid, unless both teams have the same team qualities.

Atalanta are not favorites to win the match against Real Madrid, but underestimating them would be a mistake. Ancelotti will definitely field his best players in this match to increase the chances of victory, so it would be a great reward to start the season.

I'm looking forward to that super cup game. Mbappe didn't participate in any of the Real Madrid preseason game and I was wondering why. Turns out they were saving him for that super cup trophy game.  The real reason I'm looking forward to the game is to see the kind of fire power that Real Madrid will pack with Mbappe, Bellingham, Vini and possibly Rodrigo in their team because a lot of the folks here somehow think that because Madrid now has Mbappe that they will win the UCL again for the 2024/2025 season.
