Why do I feel like this new format favours the big teams more than the small teams? In the old format, the smaller teams in the group had to fight to get at least second so they could make it to the round of 16, but now the big teams will occupy the top 8 and when the teams in 9th to 24th position are paired for the play off, there is a bigger chance the big team will win. Definitely a good thing that we are going to get some big teams playing against each other, it became a little bit boring when we are talking about something bigger, it wasn't something that we can agree with that easily, it is not going to be a fine situation and we need to do better.

Think about it, we have seen big clubs just destroy the smaller clubs in groups so far, which didn't make that much good tv, we still watched it, but I bet that when these big clubs play each other, there will be a lot more people tuning in. If you don't want to adapt to this change and work on creating a sort of team A and B that will serve as backup team should you encounter some fatigue along the way, you will suffer the most.

I also like the fact that the 8 teams you're playing, you can only play four In your home ground and play the remaining four away from home and not the usual case where you have to play 16 matches both home and away all combined. The competition for a place in the top eight of the standings will be very tight, because each contestant wants to avoid more matches to be able to advance to the round of 16. I predict that ranks 1 to 8 will be occupied by elite teams, who have better reputations and squad depth than other contestants.
