I really want to laugh seeing the results of the three matches.

Real Madrid team performed so badly I never thought, because the squad was strong enough to lose this game. I lost the bet in favor of Real Madrid and I was sure when I accepted the bet, the Real Madrid team had a good chance of winning and many other gamblers bet in favor of Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich lost to Aston Villa.

Villa scored a great goal, though you could argue the keeper made an unnecessary run that allowed Duran to shoot an empty net quite easily. I'm sure a defender can trouble him slightly to narrow his shooting position, which should lower the chance for him to convert that into a goal. That being said, Villa got a disallowed goal earlier, so it's no surprise that Bayern's defense looked quite shaky in this match.

I do agree that it makes the group more interesting. Seeing three favorites lose their match is a rare experience. Not sure if this is just a freak result for them or if the number of games is starting to take a toll on the players. Even Liverpool didn't play that well IMO, although they won the match in the end.

This is another worst game by Real Madrid I've seen in my life. It seems we never suit 4-3-3. We never press even though we now have the best squad in the world. We don’t have midfielders who helped us to crash the pen box even though we have Jude and Fede. We don’t rely on Vini even though we’ve won the UCL because of him.

Lille outplayed us for almost the entire game, except the last 10 minutes in the end. And I'm tired of pretending like we have no problem with Ancellotti-ball. We can't keep relying on luck and individual brilliance any time. Ancelotti's tactics are laughable now. He gets outclassed by any random manager; it's very unacceptable. Quite alright, Real Madrid performed terribly today and Ancelotti needs more tactics to get them back to their winning days. Don't forget easily that this same coach has led the team to clinch titles many times, even heavy ones. It's obvious that the injury streak suffered by the team greatly reduced it's performance and they would bounce back.

Loss of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich with minimal result can be considered as their accidents but the big defeat of Atletico Madrid is very shocked. Benfica is an experienced club but they have less experience than Porto in Champions League. For many years, Porto is a best representative of Portugal in Champions League but Benfica with this big win against a big club from La Liga, is changing it.

They are really ready to make Portuguese League more competitive against other leagues in Champions League. The new format of Champions League will give clubs like Benfica more chances to go through group phase with good results and standings.
