What's more shocking about this result is that Benfica had 11 shots on target and Oblack saved 7 of them. So it could have easily been 6 or 7-0 because Atletico did not have a single shot on target. Atletico were totally outplayed. They were all over the place. It was awful to watch them. It's been a long time since I've seen Simeone's team outplayed this much.

Lille succeeded in breaking Real's 37-game unbeaten and got their first win in this Champions League. The French clubs deserve lots of praise for their defensive strategy, which withstood the fierce attacking style of the visitors. Aston Villa's win over Bayern was another wonder of yesterday's matches. Hope Vincent Kompany has learned never to underrate any club in the competition. Rotating players is fine but not in the UCL.

Emery built a very good defense that Bayern couldn't cope with, it's a rare occurrence when Bayern couldn't score, but sometimes it happens, and Aston Villa only needed one mistake from Neuer to score a goal. I just like what's happening in the premier league and how underdogs are fighting real hard to push teams that feels the champions league trophy is thier personal property. Check well you will see that iether Dortmund or Bayern Leverkusen will make it really far this season and for Dortmund that even got to the finals of last session of the champions league, the motivation is already thier and sitting on the top of the table at this Early stage is quite a good start. Real Madrid that's even the favourite is still struggling to keep a clean sheet or even win against weaker opposition like lille when obviously tougher games are lined up ahead is a thing of concern most expecially when you consider the fleet of players that are in the team. It's been struggling upon struggling for them in terms of being consistent with how they score goals and it seems like it's going to tell on them now that the battle is up and running.

After this away loss to Lille, they will be playing home to the Dortmund team who will certainly take the match as a form of revenge  to thier last champions league loss at the  Santiago Bernabéu and coming back will on that same sport will be all thier is to be played for. If care is not taken, this might be the season where a team we've not really considered a potential candidate for winning the champions league will eventually emerge the winner.

That's why I love the uefa champions league bro, no team should be underated completely, who will ever believe that atletico madrid would lose to benfica with such a margin, I never saw this coming to be honest, so this particular result shows that if you became complacent as a top team and gives in a below pair performance, you might pay for it so dearly, and that was what happened to Atletico madrid, I believe that in their next outing, they would certainly not be complacent or  lackluster as they were last night, that is what am quite sure of.

Then as for the performance of Aston Martin, sincerely speaking, I was impressed, because I initially thought that Bayern Munich would ran them over, but it wasn't meant to be, they were very balance tactically and because of how organise they were, it was extremely difficult for Bayern Munich to create a clear cut chances as they usually does.

Atletico's result against Benfica was really shocking to me. It's such a very embarrassing and disgraceful result. Many pundits, and even i, favored them to win at least with a narrow score, but they lost 4 goals to Benfica. They have no pattern in their gameplay, no mentality (they gave up after the second goal was scored). They have been so poor in the first half, then completely collapsed in the second half.

Hopefully, this match is gonna be a great wake-up call for them about how horrific their gameplay is right now.

Many matches in this second meeting ended in disappointment, not all the top team could easily win as expected by the fans and even worse, the top team got embarrassing defeats.
Previously I took some favorite team but ended up with results that were not in accordance with expectations and today it all happened again, yes maybe this is because some team are in conditions that are not possible due to some of their main players who have to be absent and cannot strengthen the team to be able to play perfectly and win.
LOSC against Real Madrid and this match ended with bad results for Real Madrid because they suffered defeat with score of 1 - 0 and on the other hand Aston Villa against Bayern Munich also ended with Aston Villa victory with score of 1 - 0 which is clearly Bayern Munich is favored in this match even though it is an away game for them.
All failed and the only ones who managed to win were Liverpool with them only against Bologna.
