I took the time to have a brief look at your post history. I'm not going to judge your post quality per se, but I think you can and should improve in certain areas.

So far you made 32 posts of which 5 were deleted. 18 of your posts were replies to existing threads, so you opened yourself likely 14 own threads. What strikes me is that you rarely, if at all, engage or reply in your own opened threads. Why is that?

I mean, it's not really necessary to reply in one's own threads, but frankly I would do it almost always. If you don't care then you should ask yourself if it's necessary to open an own thread at all, if you don't want or care to engage.

If what you post is of no or low value for those who read them, why should anybody of your readers give you merit? You don't get merit for opening threads alone, especially when your habit is to abandon your threads.

Learn things that you can give back to other members here, especially if it has something to do with the main topic of this forum: crypto currencies and Bitcoin in particular. Engage more in existing threads or where others have questions where you could contribute something of value.

Don't open pointless threads that may be only of value for you but not really for others. You will always have members who engage in your threads because they benefit by posting when they are in some signature campaign and are happy to deliver posts.

I don't really want to put myself into the spotlight, but just to give you a different perspective: ninjastic.space has (without this) 1167 posts from me (2 explicitly deleted by moderators), around 1157 are counted by the forum (not sure where the other 8 have gone). I have opened so far only 3 own threads where I also added replies where necessary. I mostly contribute in existing threads of others because I very rarely have a new or unique topic that warrants opening my own.

In the past I was confronted with a difficult Bitcoin wallet recovery. Before succeeding with it I realized how little I know and understand about Bitcoin's internals and how wallets operate in particular. I don't ask for spoon feeding, I try to learn myself. What I can't grasp myself, I can ask here, if the information isn't already posted somewhere (yes, there is a forum search and there's ninjastic.space/search, too).

You're too focused on merit. Relax, embrace the forum's rules, improve, repeat.

If I get you correctly, you might have known that growth in the forum is based on activity and merits. You seems to also know that activities are given based on number of posts but never knew that merit is not based on the quantity of posts. So, this is the way the forum work, activity is awarded one per day and added to your account every fourteen days whereas merits does not depend on post quantity but quality. Like many people already commented, if you want to earn merit, improve your post quality and make them helpful and relevant to the topic of discussion then merits will start dropping in your profile.

Posting in the forum has no limits so even if you keep making a lot of threads or post some replies, that would be okay. But if your goal of posting multiple threads is to attract and earn merits, you are wrong with that. It’s quality over quantity which means the significance or value of your post will matter more than the amount of posts you are making in a day. Don’t focus on posting a lot, but learn more on how to make valuable posts that the majority of the members will benefit. And as much as possible, study how these reputable members create their post, that’s where you will get an idea on how to improve your post.

Lengthy posts without points doesn't count in the eyes of other members, rather its seen to be story without actual passing of vital information which was intended. Gaining favour in the eyes of top ranking members in the space is not difficult at it seems. It's simple, just make a constructive post and aim to become one of the essential information passed and look at the eligibility of Gaining merits.

Exactly my dear mate the minimum post and also the maximum post required to earn merit is just one post but it all lies in the quality of the post. It is not all about making numerous post  or contributing in a discussion instead it’s about making a reliable and well constructive post and merits will come.There are various patterns to post and it’s always advisable that you post on your areas of interest and focus more in writing something useful and something that will benefit every member of the forum and merits will come. The shocking part it is that sometimes you write just four lines but the contents of the lines are beneficial to the group and before you will wake up merit will come.

Lastly, it’s not all about the number of post but the content of the post and the quality of the content and how beneficial it is to the entire group.

OP if you stay here for long even keep posting low quality then I will never earn merit. How you improve the quality of your posts is entirely up to you. In fact merit does not depend on the number of posts, how informative your post is, how educational it is depends on whether you can earn merit. Also, a small tip I give you is to look at the posts of members who have earned merit on any of the posts and see how informative they are.
Like many members I've checked your profile and found that most of your posts are on your local boards and some are off topic. Off topic posts can never be considered for merit.

You posted earlier on "What is Merit all about" in the Beginners & Help thread. Many people there may have answered your question even said how can you earn merit.

You're absolutely right only one post can make one to earn merit depending on how quality and meaningful your post is, there are some people who made over One thousand post but no single merit that was given to them. reason is because there post lack so  many qualities this is why most people find it very difficult to earn merit from their post, something they keep accusing those high ranked members for being greedy, without knowing that there post lack so many informations.

Merit can be earned by your contributions on the topic or the forum itself there's no specific number of post you need just to acquire merit it depends on your contents as like mentioned here in the thread you can get a merit in your post but it's not limited into one, other users can give you a merit too it depends the number to them. Merit can be many to one post. If you want to gain merit here you must to gain knowledge atleast so you can get drive with the conversation of others and get contribute at least.

There is no minimum post requirement to earn merit. If you can post quality post then you can earn merit in your first post. And if you can't post quality post, you can't earn any merit even if you post 1000 posts. So read more posts of others and write posts with new ideas. But definitely no plagiarism.

You will not find a rule or requirements where you need a number of posts to get a merit, in fact, I have seen newbies with thousands of posts and yet they failed to get a single merit because all of their posts are bounty reports.

So I've given you your first merit because you started a discussion as a reference about acquiring merits some newbies have a misconception that you need this number of days or number of posts and by posting this they will help them understand more about merits based on the discussion you started.

Check these answers to your question and take note I expect you to get more merits if you take notes and follow our pieces of advice.

Earning merits in this Bitcointalk forum didn't matter how many post you make, what matters is how Quality of your post because if your post is meaningful to the forum their is know how that you we not earned merit. however, that is why is always necessary as a newbie to always do more of reading than making post that are not useful to the forum, sometimes I used to wonder why newbie are always inquisitive of making post, why they are not in any Campaign.

Don't confuse yourself that there's a post requirement needed before you can earn a merit.

You just need  1 quality post then maybe there are appreciative member will send you a merit. So try to focus on improving your post quality and be a good contributor of the topic discuss since for sure that you will earn the desired merit you want soon.

Also don't chase for merits since its really frustrating but rather try to be informed and learn a lot since the things you wanted will just came. Just appreciate the information you learn here and for sure it will benefit you in future.

other than posting helpful posts, joining a discussion or even just asking questions, there really isn't any more possible requirement for earning merit. if you want to continue earning merit just be active and continue joining discussions and posting helpful posts. also, just to be clear, just because you think you have posted something useful doesn't mean that it will receive a merit from other members.

In part that's natural because as newbies the quality of their posts is usually low. But, even if that's true, it is also true that we generally send our sMerits to users we know, even if the quality is just the same or a bit higher. Taking into account that some newbies deserve merits almost in the same proportion as others who get them, and they need them much more (to be encouraged to keep participating, to build their reputation here, to be accepted in bounty campaigns, etc.) we should consider being a little more generous with them.

If the forum where to be using number of posts to earn merits, many account would have earned more merits within a short time period because they will only be posting in order to be merited, they won’t mind whether the post is of high or low quality. We will have more spammers than real and honest posters ready to contribute something meaningful to the discussion in the forum. Keep posting and when a user sees your post and it’s worth meriting, you’ll be giving the merit without you bothering to ask them for it. The forum doesn’t work the way you’ve assumed it, but with time, you’ll know how everything is.

It's not about the post count but it's about the quality of your posts and your contributions to topics and threads you participate in. Looking at your post history, seems like most of your posts are generic responses and there is nothing significant in any of them, you didn't try to put in much effort which is the reason why you didn't get any merits. When you want to achieve something, you need to work for it, you can't expect to get it for free.

For reference, you should surf around the forum and find posts that are merited by other forum members and read those posts, try to learn from them and once you do that, you should try and put in as much effort as they have put into their posts and then you will see things changing for yourself.

As a newbie, if you are joining a forum like this, what you are supposed to do first is go through the forum rules and regulations, and you shouldn’t just post without checking the rules guiding the forum. I am sure if you went through the rules and other pinned posts, then you will know that amounts of posts done won’t earn you any merit, it’s your post quality that’s going to earn you merit. And why did you join the forum? Did you join the forum just because of the merit, or did you join because you wanted to learn? If you join because of merit, then you might not be receiving merit, but if you join because you want to learn, then you will end up receiving merit.

You have tried for yourself in the few posts I checked. You already have about 14 topics you have started within two months you registered in this forum. It shows you are willing to learn. It is just that you are not posting in the boards where merits giving members post. Do not blame yourself for the lack of merits you have. You only need to pick topics that interest you in boards where your posts can be seen by more generous merit giving members and merit sources.

It is all about the quality of your posts that will earn you merits. I believe you may have seen newbies here in the forum who have posted only a few times but have earned some merits. Merits are not given based on the number of posts a member has made. If you are really interested in earning merits, you need to start contributing valuable information to the forum. Once you begin making such posts, you will start receiving merits.

My advice for you is that before chasing merits, you should seek for proper knowledge about Bitcoin and general cryptocurrency. Never be too eager for merits; otherwise, you may end up breaking the forum rules and regulations.
