And I think it would be much fun and entertaining if less percentage should be used for someone with a 10k savings.

As others said before, it seems that the title doesn't match with the post, and we can only try to guess what OP meant.

I interpret that what he wants to ask is whether we have ever bet a limited percentage of our savings and not more, but for most of us even a limited percentage of our savings is too much to risk.

I agree that to have fun in lotteries or gambling a few bucks at a time are enough. Betting a lot of money is never a good idea to me because if you lose it is clear that you will feel very bad with yourself, but even if you win the lesson you are learning is that winning the money that's so hard to earn is easy, which is even worse.

Financial control, yeah that's an important thing to bear in mind. We need to know how to manage our funds so we can remain disciplined when gambling. Of course, as gamblers, we all have our individual ranges. Actually, 10% of our income is already significant, unless we're really doing well and making our gambling activities profitable.

Even the casino have always advice for responsible gambling much more than they would want you to gamble because they always know how much ruin gambling can cause a gambler if they don't gambler responsibly by making sure they are not gambling what they can afford to loose at a time some gamblers don't put into consideration even when they are gambling for sun or to make money of gambling which in turn hurts them when they eventually go bankrupt. gambling for fun isn't only when you gamble with that which you can afford to loose because some time you may no have fun loosing such funds even if they are still small but then you still try to make it look like you are gambling for fun meanwhile you are gambling to see how well you can be able to multiply or double up that small sum so you can be able to get things done with that which you hope to realize as your profit. Well, I think I agree with some things you have said @OP. A gambler who is actually gambling for fun or who wants to gamble for fun will always spend just the amount they can afford to lose or the person will have a definite budget which after they have spend that amount, they will not gamble again until their casino balance is refilled again from a fresh budget. Someone who is gambling for fun will not chase losses because once they spend all their money for that they, they will not even have another money to chase losses. Those that chase losses in gambling can not be classified as people who are only gambling for fun. Those people that gamble for the sake of making profit will always gamble above their budget and they will continue to chase losses until they lose everything they had.

gambling with up to 10% of your groose earning is reckless. And wether you call it fun or not, in the long run it's going to mess you up and you will call it addiction. You don't use fun as an excuse for lack of accountability with regards to how you allocate which amount should get into a thing and which ratio should go into another. For me, anything above 3% to 5% is pure reckless gambling and continuous use of such amount could lead to disaster somewhere along the line.  The issue with some people is the certainty they normally have about playing a game and  might look as though you wouldn't loose if you try using a big amount but when it eventually happens, you get to learn your lesson the hard way.

well for me , the best way to decide if we are to have fun or to target winning is to put or to allocate the enough amount each time we gamble .
if you are to have fun then bring 100-500  dollars but if you are to  try winning for life then allocate thousand or more money but make sure to know when to stop .

If you are gambling and the amount you are gambling with is not something you can afford to lose, then you are no longer gambling for fun, you have a motive for gambling. How will you spend a huge amount of money on gambling, If you lose, you will end up regretting why you gambled, then  that’s not really fun.

Some people do say it publicly that they are gambling just for fun, but seriously, most of them are just addicted to gambling. I always gamble only with the amount I can afford to lose. And most of the time it's only the price of a cup of coffee. That's my strategy, because when I do that I don't get upset when I lose. And when I do that, even the simplest matches turn into extremely entertaining matches for me. I bet for fun and I will continue to do so. I can't buy better entertainment for the price of a cup of coffee. I cannot gamble for any other reason. I don't think I can get rich gambling. I don't have that kind of luck.

At the beginning, most of gamblers start to gamble without any consideration of the risks. That's happened to me when starting to gamble, maybe about 2021, i start without any considering that i would ready for any loss, and finally i've got addicted with it, it's an heavy year i think, but i gratefully thanks to my self, i already stopped as an addicted gamber, and even for now i play gamble as my considerations to all the risks, and believing that i am a responsible gambler for now.

what do you mean by percentage are shares? Do you mean to say they are like investment shares or what?

Participating in gambling by going after  huge earning can be very risky and frustrating as smaller wins are easier to come by than huge wins which could make a gambler experience series of losses over a long time of gambling. Perhaps the reason why we see those posts in the gambling board talking about how they have been experiencing losses over time without a single interlude win. Since gambling is a tough game even though we do share some fun in it it's fundamental to be mindful of the size of wins we go for as the higher the amount the higher the risk involved.

Nobody when to lose money whether it is small amount or not, even with what someone can afford to lose,it is not all gambler that gamble for fun. But truth is that not matter how small the amount this when someone lose it, it will sure pain them, so i don't know why many do claim they can for fun.

People are just claiming they are gambling for fun, but from my own view, a lot are not gambling for fun. If someone truly gambles for fun, when they lose, the gambler should not react badly because it is for fun. Many people are just saying they are gambling for fun in public because of people who will criticize them, but truly they are not gambling for fun; they are gambling to make money. In fact, I hardly believe people who always say they are gambling for fun because, for me, I don't gamble for fun. I am gambling to make money.

Every gambler should not gamble more than 5% of his income, this may get him used to increasing his ability to lose that money, in essence gambling with money that is ready to be lost, whatever percentage of our income, but keep in mind that being a responsible gambler is not easy because you have to be really consistent in protecting yourself from emotional feelings when you lose at gambling, every gambler when they lose will definitely catch up on their losses or feel annoyed.

I am a responsible gambler, before gambling I usually set my budget with my wife, because she is good at managing finances in my household so I am given a limit by her to gamble no more than 5% of my income unless I get more money, in essence I use it to have fun doesn't mean I'm happy when I lose, I will straighten out my opinion about gambling for fun. You are not wiring actually, because gambling with 10% for your income is not a good idea and it can make you chase lose if you are a gambler that finds it though to deal with emotions. Nobody gambles for fun. The majority of people gamble to get returns that are multiples of the amount they bet. However, some people can still live a relaxed life even though they have just lost a lot of money due to losing gambling, because they still have large savings from that. But others experience stress because that is the only money they have. His goal of gambling was to get more money, but it failed and did not match what he expected.
